I can feel the seasonal depression lifting by the day (but the regular stuff stays of course) , and it’s inspired me to buy a ton of plants in the last 2 weeks… most of them are here now and I’m so excited
Yess!!!! The air layering will does work with alocasia!!! I tried it with my frydek / Variegated frydek and I just cut off the top and now I have multiple new sprouts on the base!!!
I was able to watch some of this on my lunch break and I wanted to have it in the background as I get back to work, but I just can't focus on my work since I just want to see the updates. So I'll have to come back later!
One way to keep the variegation establish on the philodendron burle marx is chop every time that his leaf comes green, doing this you give more opportunity to come variegated leafs. In yours, you would cut where the first non variegated leaf came. I hope I've helped 💚🌱
2:17 I think your walleniana doesn’t like that grow light on the trailing leaves, bc it’s growing on the top where the light isn’t hitting it that much. so I think the light or heat is just drying those leaves out. Hoyas can be tricky like that! Lol
I was totally the same with multiples of the same plant so I started potting them all up together then just take them out as I decide what I want to do with them. It can mean disturbing them slightly more than necessary but most plants don't care (though I wouldn't do it with an alocasia ;) ) Makes care much easier.
If I can just say they like a bit of neglect & evening sun light (or morning) Light & water are the things it strives on or kills 💕 Temperature don’t let them get too cold…
Ive had my ficus audrey for what feels like a while now. I bought my specific one because it had 2 beautiful growth points I thought would for sure be pushing out new leaves shortly after purchase, and here we are still waiting on anything to happen as well haha
I was looking at the orchids as well! I almost got the Paphiopedium Concolor, it’s a terrestrial orchid so it can be potted in soil and happens to prefer lower light. The sophrontis cernua is also a great choice, they stay very compact, if you have a space issue and don’t require high light.
feeling the spring hitting on all of my plants and myself! So glad you post such a long video, just watched it while building a planty house in the Sims 4, it really relaxed me :) Thank you for being such a cool person 🥰
If you're looking for orchid recommendations from a total orchid noob I would so recommend the Jewel Orchid, it's an amazingly cute terrestrial orchid I've been growing for several months- it has been really easy and a really prosperous grower as well. It has had a small growth habit, and has been doing okay in slightly lower medium light for me. It's a really cute plant you should check it out!
I just ordered a few pings from CSN.. I just love them and they seem to be the only plants that are actually doing anything.. well other then all my blooming orchids 😉👏💚🌱🌿
Gorgeous collection! I found a beautiful full 4" pot of variegated Thanksgiving cactus (didn't know it existed) in my pharmacy of all places! It lost all it's variegation, but is still growing beautifully. Praying it will come back with a grow light. My wishlist is the paradoxa and a "Fern" 😉 leaf cactus!
Hi, your Cotyledon tomentosa (succulent in the window next to the jungle cactus) looks like it's stretching, that means it could use some more direct light.
It’s a Bloom comin in hottt on your Philodendron Narrow! Wow Girl! These Plants be POPPIN’! I freaking love 💕 your videos! You got the best vibes and your baby girl Olive and her appearances are wonderful! P.S. I done bought me some of them dragon fly and butterfly 🦋 clips!!!!!! Thanks for the idea!
I wish I was a plant person, but I manage to kill everything ..even succulents 😂... does you get bugs in the house eating your plants sometimes... your Audrey and the one to the right are so healthy looking ! Your voice is calming , I watch anyway 😊and I shared your channel with a friend of mine who also has a house of plants like you🌿❤ 🌿
I just noticed that you have stated that your ficus Audrey is not growing. I have given it the Osmo cote fertilizer. I’m not kidding. I got three new leaves within two months. I have used Osmo cote about 12 years ago. And I forgot how much I loved it. And now I think it’s the best thing ever all I have to do is water throw it on there every couple times a year. The best stuff ever!
Wow, everything has new growth! You should do an update after summer & see the comparison. I believe they’re going to explode by the fall. Thanks for sharing Fern!
You have inspired me to get a Begonia maculata. They're so pretty! I can't wait to make space for it and bring one home. 🥰 This is my first spring in the hobby (started toward the end of last summer lol) and the sheer joy I'm getting seeing any new growth come in, and repotting and checking on roots. Ugh, so good. 😙🤌💜
the hoya markings - might be the combination of spray and grow light? just a thought. Thanks for the video on Friday evening (for me), and an hour long :) what a treat !
Hi Fern, oh my goodness, your collection is looking amazing! Lush and beautiful, I hope you revisit them in summer so we can see how much more they have grown!!! I love Spring, the longer days and all of the new plant growth!!
I have my ficus villosa on a moss pole in room conditions (21C, 40% humidity) and she is thriving, even with me letting the moss dry out, which makes me feel it would actually do well on a wood plank :)
Yes, the curled things on the streptocarpus are buds. I have a lot I have grown from seed, very fine seed but fun to do (was mixed colors so every blooming plant is a surprise)
I am just enjoying to watch your videos recently because I have gotten new ten green pots this spring and want to learn how to care of them. I love your energies and enthusiasms for greens! How do you remember the all names of millions of kinds of greens? Also, for a Japanese women, your English words and voice are just so comfortable for me that I can watch the one-hour-long-video without being tired at all. I am looking forward to your videos from now on continuously in Kyoto, Japan. :)
Damn! How do you manage to get it so perfect, even the back?! I can’t do shit to the back of my hair. I just run with “if I can’t see it, it’s none of my business”
My Ficus Audrey didn't grow for like 8 months and I realized it actually needs to be watered every week. I was watering it every 2 weeks and although it still looked good and healthy, this one definitely likes to be consistently moist. Once I did that and gave it the right light, she gives me 1-2 leaves per month. Definitely still a slow grower.
Oh I just love all your plant babies!! And I'm super excited for your Thai monstera❤ mine is such a slow grower for me 😢 I hope she grows to be like yours!!
Loving your videos relatively new to plants but they are already taking over my house and the growth is giving so much joy ❤. A monstera Thai constellation is top of my want list so beautiful
Love this video and really love that my plant idol(Fern) slips up and neglects plants every once in awhile! Keeping up with all these plants is a job in and of itself!I have missed what exactly causes rainbow hour at your house! Could you show in one of your new videos what causes the rainbows because I need that in my home!!!
Any recs for hikes around Vancouver? I’m going to be in town later this year and one of your old videos where you’re walking olive amongst the trees looked stunning.
I love walking along the seawall in Vancouver. Not sure of the names of other hikes since I don't live there. I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding them though! The AllTrails app is super helpful too :)
Hi Fern! At 9:22 that's xylem sap from guttation. Same stuff you find on the bottom of the IKEA cabinets when the plants drip from their leaves. Normal. 💚
Will you talk more about that tonic you use to prevent spider mites. I'm really struggling with them and would love to find a product to prevent them instead having to treat for them 😢
You are so brave to touch your tiny baby leaves. I’m afraid I’ll damage them somehow. Every time I see your Thai I renew my wish to have one! Prices are coming down so maybe this year. And I’ve followed your bumpy ride with yours and it scares me a little!!! Beautiful plants, thanks so much for showing us.
SOOO happy you finally got into the orchid game!! Do yourself the biggest favor and get your hands on a Phalaenopsis schilleriana. Its a Phal species with silver mottled leaves, beautiful pink blooms, and a gorgeous, light, rosey fragrance to the blooms. I got one recently and its SOOO pretty. Cannot wait for the buds on its spike to bloom :D
Looove the longer video! You inspired me to get a cabinet and get it set up to help with the plants who hate my desert heat. Thank you for always being a source of relaxation and calm for me. 🫶🏼💚
I’m so happy spring is here!! 🌸Seeing all the new growth is so special. Thank you for the amazing video! ❤️ I’ve got one question. How do you care for your variegated bearpaw? Is it similar to the regular one? I’ve tried three variegated bearpaws and they all croaked but my regular one is still going strong.
Hi! For the fenestrations on the Thai I think it has to do with heat…I have a regular green small form and the one summer it was outside it put out a leaf with the most fenestrations ever. There was even a second off shoot that put out a tiny leaf with a ton of fenestrations. After coming back inside it hasn’t put out a leaf with even close to as many fenestrations as the summer outside leaves. Idk if it’s really related but I think more heat = more fenestrations
Tha walliana leaf damage looks like flat mite damage or root mealies to me. I hope it’s not! I know you were treating everything so hopefully it’s just a singular flare up! Your plant jungle is so stunning!
The spots on that hanging pot of Hoya leaves looks like it could be possible flat mites! I’d probably treat it sulfur or something just to be sure. But as always, all your plants are looking gorgeous 😍
Your zz raven, to get it to grow, water it a bit more. I know everyone is always like you never have to water a zz or you only need to water them once a month. I literally water my zz raven whenever the soil is completely dry. I've had my raven for almost a year now and she's giving me a new stalk right now. I also change out every 3 or 4th water for a weak plant food water (half strength right in my normal water). I started seeing the new growth peek out of the soil back in February and it's just now starting to open up and get taller. 🥰
Your crimson queen is one of the most gorgeous hoyas in existence 😍
An hour of Fern? What did we do to deserve this!! 🥹💚
you deserve the sun & the moon 💚💖
I saw that it was an hour and was like “let me get a cup of coffee” 🎉
I can feel the seasonal depression lifting by the day (but the regular stuff stays of course) , and it’s inspired me to buy a ton of plants in the last 2 weeks… most of them are here now and I’m so excited
You have no idea how much your videos help me relax. Thank you for posting a longer video!! I appreciate you 💚
I saw that it was an hour long and it completely made my morning!!! Watching it with my cafecito 😌☕️❤
eeeep sounds perfect - enjoy bestie 🥰💖☕️
That trailing jade is insane. Perfect color. Happy spring to you.
Oh we all get emotional when our plants bloom Fern especially if they are blooming for the first time. Congrats!
Yess!!!! The air layering will does work with alocasia!!! I tried it with my frydek / Variegated frydek and I just cut off the top and now I have multiple new sprouts on the base!!!
The coffin terrarium 🥹 so beautiful
"El Guapo" is so fitting! Love it!❤
I was able to watch some of this on my lunch break and I wanted to have it in the background as I get back to work, but I just can't focus on my work since I just want to see the updates. So I'll have to come back later!

I hope I've helped 💚🌱
Thank you sooo much for these videos! I love how long they are!
Silent subscriber and viewer 🖤 thank you fern for being a light in my dark
This means so much. Thank you for being here Amelie 💚
That new growth on your Philodendron Narrow is going to be a flower 🌼 also, loveee that this video is an hour long 😍
An inspirational dog mum ❤
that philodendron narrow is about to bloom😍
I’m in PWN too and after months of no growth on my ficus audrey, it finally started growing again this week! It’ll start soon! 🌱
2:17 I think your walleniana doesn’t like that grow light on the trailing leaves, bc it’s growing on the top where the light isn’t hitting it that much. so I think the light or heat is just drying those leaves out. Hoyas can be tricky like that! Lol

Yayyy❤❤ so happy to see a long video...your videos always make me smile..
orchids actually really like being root bound! so maybe wait a little longer until you repot it
I highly recommend the "Colmanara Wildcat" as an Orchid. It is so easy to rebloom and realy hardy aswell.
Holiday cactuses are on my list of plants to not buy anymore because I’ve killed one at least three times 😂 That variegated one of yours is GORGEOUS!
If I can just say they like a bit of neglect & evening sun light (or morning)
Light & water are the things it strives on or kills 💕
Temperature don’t let them get too cold…
Got up at 5am this morning so I can watch this in peace with a cup of coffee!!
Ive had my ficus audrey for what feels like a while now. I bought my specific one because it had 2 beautiful growth points I thought would for sure be pushing out new leaves shortly after purchase, and here we are still waiting on anything to happen as well haha

I've been waiting for life to quiet down so I can sit and absorb this gift that is an HOUR LONG FERN VIDEO 🤩🙌🏽
Love the update on all your plants!!!

Love your videos. You should take some of your trailing jade and put it in some full to partial sun. It flushes a beautiful purple color. 🙂
so happy to watch these long vids as i do ✨planty chores✨ alongside
Spring just hits different when you are a plant person ☀️🌷🙌🏻
I just ordered a few pings from CSN.. I just love them and they seem to be the only plants that are actually doing anything.. well other then all my blooming orchids 😉👏💚🌱🌿
Nice to spend a relaxing hour with you and your plants after a killer week, thank you ❤❤
Hi Fern! Re: the Ficus. Have you tried notching it? Works well for me.

What a beautiful collection Fern. They look so well taken care off. Your love shows in how beautiful and healthy they look ❤

i just started watching your videos.. so an hour long video is sincerely helping my addiction.
Gosh I live for these long videos !! 😍🙌🏾
thought i was going to have a lame friday night, not anymore!! 💕
All of your plants look so fantastic and healthy ❤️
Same with my ficus Audrey. I've treated and treated and repotted and added humidity. I am at a loss.
Hi Fern! At 9:22 that's xylem sap from guttation. Same stuff you find on the bottom of the IKEA cabinets when the plants drip from their leaves. Normal. 💚
Have you tried putting a cutting of a heart leaf philodendren in the water props ?
florida ghost is my absolute top wishlist plant! yours is absolutely gorgeous i love seeing it ❤
My multiflora blasted all but one bloom on it. Good luck with yours. I’m hoping to get another bloom this year.
Will you talk more about that tonic you use to prevent spider mites. I'm really struggling with them and would love to find a product to prevent them instead having to treat for them 😢
I need to see this watering can toy!
Omg this is exactly what I needed right now 😍😍
🙌 I love to hear it! enjoy 💖

Tips for Thai pink lipstick? I've really struggled with this one, restarted/rerooted several times🤷♀️
I had a ficus Audrey that wouldn’t grow for months also. I finally chopped the top of it off and it began to grow again.
Beautiful plants fun to watch 😊

That’s what I thought I heard too!
Coming here to say check for flat mites/sulfur treatment!
You should try and find an Oncidium Sharry Baby Sweet Fragrance orchid, gorgeous little flowers and it smells like vanilla + chocolate 😍
i think thats a flower on the philo narrow :o
The spots on that hanging pot of Hoya leaves looks like it could be possible flat mites! I’d probably treat it sulfur or something just to be sure. But as always, all your plants are looking gorgeous 😍
I checked it with my microscope. Couldn’t find any mites!!
Fern, zz raven needs bigger pot - it spreads underground and needs room to do that :)
Hello fern I like your all your plants also begoinea it amazing question u putting monstra albue in water did putting food plant's or nothing ? ☺️
Water with a drop of Superthrive :)
@@wildfern thank you so MUCH FOR response 🙏 ☺️

I just found variegated trailing jade plant at home depo. In 2 inch pots got 4 of them....
Oh amazing - the variegated ones are so pretty :)
That could be root rot on the hoya. It causes brown spots on leaves like that.
