    Hello, this yellow thaï is breathtaking, if one day you chop and prop it i'd be glad to buy one cutting 🥰
    By the way, where did you find it ?
    Also, i managed to "save" a too much variegated monstera albo cutting (one nod so i really had to find a solution) i purposely added normal azote concentrated fertiliser and my "supposed-to-be-all-white-and-die" cutting is slowly turning more green so i think i definitely saved it (😎 like a boss 💪🏻) 😂
    So if it could be a usefull tip for someone , here you go (ツ)

    You can never get tire of frog in a sock!
    The “yellow Thai”. If it’s small form 🙅🏽‍♂️. I’m going aurea. BUT, I think you have a large form there. From what I can see, it looks like the node spacing is pretty tight. And if it doesn’t brown off and and is stable, that’s a winner no matter what it’s called. Personally, I’d go with Monstera deliciosa “Yellow monster” ssp Doc Pete
    Nice example on the whale meat! We have local Indian tribes that get to hunt a whale each year in the traditional fashion. I got to try some blubber, which is most prized, and have to say, I’m good forever. Now that cut of meat, I’m thinking Kobe from the sea! I’ll have to give that a go!

    • @petevsplants7516
      @petevsplants7516  Рік тому

      Yeah, I know what you mean. Ultimately, they're just names. Whatever it is, most people in Aus use "Yellow Thai" to refer to it. Haha cool name though I think I'd get a lot of hate for creating my own haha Wow that's crazy. What did it taste like if I can ask? The blubber is just the fat right? Or does it include some muscle too?

    • @richardr5878
      @richardr5878 Рік тому

      @@petevsplants7516 When they served the blubber, it was literally just blubber. No muscle. Supposed to be the best part according to my friend (I’m on counsel! That’s a funny inside tribal joke). I believe the fat is really prized, as it’s historically hardest to get. My Filipino friends are the same way when they roast pig. The skin and fat is the prized piece. Thing is, I HATE the texture of fat. 😂
      As I remember, whale blubber was chewy and I’d put it in the league with hard boiled egg whites crossed with clam flavor. It was all I could do to get it down. Not the flavor, but I gag on the texture.

    Do love the Florida, I only have the bog standard but she's a stunner, sizing up and growing like a weed and only on a basic garden stake, no moss pole.

      @@petevsplants7516 my mind is blown! Yes it appears what I think is my imperial red (my boyfriend wanted a list of all my plants and I had to do some heavy googling on this one and am still not entirely sure) definitely did that! However my red Congo has a more mature plant that is cataphyllic down to the soil with two juveniles that are still using the petiolar sheaths. I now have something exciting to keep an eye on with that one. I highly suspect it will pop two out and switch to cataphyllic like the other and just as you have suggested.
      Interestingly enough, a friend of mine was over at my house yesterday and I showed her my juvenile gloriosum which she thought was a melanochrysum because it is growing straight up so far with petiolar sheaths. She said it couldn’t be gloriosum because they crawl and melanos climb. I saw hers at her house later that night and it doesn’t have cataphylls on it to suggest it matured from petiolar sheaths. So now I have no idea what my freakin plant is because I am new to that area of philos. Oh and Google was not helpful haha
