Awesome tip; conductive pen/ink can be removed with isopropyl after flash to bring it back to “a stock condo tsop flash” (removes bridge) so nobody can mess it up if u sell it/give to noob etc.
James Drummond So you can remove the ink after the flash and the flash will remain on the console? At least that’s how I’m interpreting it. You won’t have to flash again, I guess is what I’m asking?
I should have used a nail or very fine brush, when I tried it I tried a conductive paint pen which was runny and real hard to get in one place. This stuff you have looks better /thick
Virgil Kellogg yeah a few years ago I tried this silver pen- but way to runny and not worth the trouble- this stuff is legit- thick and easy to put where u want- dries quick- it was so simple I tsoped another Xbox right after the video - had everything out so just did it
This is probably a stupid question, but will this erase all of my gamesaves, profiles, Hard drive content etc? I already have an upgraded hard drive installed and setup properly with my soft mod but I don’t want lose all of my stuff.
Just got 2 xbox i just opened them and the chips name are xcalibur and cyclops.. I know they can't be tsop'd but are they even hackable? MFR date are: 2004-08-10 and 2004-07-05
@@BlaGGah ah man. Thanks for that. Was in between soldering and painting. I’m thinking paint has to be easier. I’ve seen too many screw it up that have better solder skills than I. I need to replace caps too. Any recommendations on that as far as good brand or place to buy?
I copied your tutorial last year and my hard drive suddenly stoped Reading f:// partition. This is a good tutorial but I suggest anyone to buy a ssd adaptor and upgrade or backup everything as soon as you can

@@TheDKJay seems that way. Once the bios is flashed it's permanent. The points are soldered to flash after that it should not be necessary.
I know I'm late to this party but I just completed this today and your video is still on point, thanks.
game changer!! lol i almost killed my board with my solder skillz ;)
Flashed a 1.0 yesterday with this conductive ink. Thanks.
awesome
Any chance you can remake the video without crappy music...oh wait looks like it stopped whew.
Awesome pointer with that paint 👌
You will have to let it dry for 24hrs. No more no less. Great video!

daaaam ofc after i solder i finds this gem story of my life lmfao. and now i wanna buy a thriftbox to try on 😅

Very cool
Focus video chip means 1.4 Version. Only
Virgil Kellogg yup- found that out thabsk 👍
That's funny I know u my modding friend
after hexen installs and you get the gentoox screen it tells me it can't read from disk i need to put it a boot disk ????
What was the point in removing the fan?
i always remove , clean it and also remove some metal shielding to increase air flow
@@Terry68Firebird got it.
I have a version 1.0 Do I just do the same thing with the points
Do you think this would still work on a 1.1 xbox? Particularly when adding a wire to the bottom of the motherboard. Help would be appreciated👌
I do think it would work butwould be pretty fragile compared to solder so if you do that work gently until its flashed
@@Terry68Firebird yeah my plan was to do that, let it dry and then remove it after. Should I?
@@Franku69 IDK bro try it- there is no need to keep it after you flash

I know you figured this one out already.
@@lawrencejones8170 yeah only softmoded or chipped. What’s up? Did you have a question?
@@BlaGGah at doing a chip, I have an xlite 2.3 or was considering a soft mod and tsop flash. But I have a 1.0.
@@lawrencejones8170 1.0 is easier to Tsop. I just use conductive paint to bridge the points. I’ve only managed to Tsop 1.0 and 1.1 versions though.

Good idea- Also for a modded XBOX you can FTP the content to an external HDD on your PC (so you have a backup).
