MrMario, you probably know this by now. So i will mention this for the viewers. The 1.6 has the clock cap as well. It is located by the IDE port. They moved it and replaced it with one that doesnt fail as much as the old ones. "DO NOT REMOVE THOSE CAPS" You will kill your 1.6 box. Great videos man keep it up.
A bit of a quick tip for anyone trying to do this for the first time. There is also another method of bridging the two points together without the use of solder. You can actually use some conductive paint to bridge the two solder points together and I found it to be way easier. It's also safer to do as it won't damage your Xbox if you mess up and end up breaking the solder pads on the motherboard. You can easily just wipe it off with some isopropyl alcohol and just reapply it. This second method is perfect for people who are not good at soldering such as me. I was able to flash the EvoX bios to an Xbox with this method and it was awesome. Great video man!
Hey PacMaster, after reading your comment, this is the route I think I'm going to try first. Could you possibly link me to what you used, or something similar? Regardless, thanks for the info! It's been years since I had to solder anything and didn't feel super confident in doing so.
Good job getting one with a Sammy drive, as they're the best drive with this console. The scene for the OG Xbox was THE best scene of all consoles. Homebrew and hardware mods released for it was insane. I still have my 1.0 somewhere in storage, with the capacitor removed of course.
I need to get back my original 1.0 and remove the clock capacitor! I would agree with it being one of the best, I didn't get to really get my hands dirty with hardware mods until 2016 and I love the freedom of information the scene has. Lots of good sources for Xbox info, and people all on board for sharing. Also still seeing active interest and development on 16 year old hardware is awesome.
Please make sure you put electrical tape or something to keep the solder points from touching your hdd and shorting out the ide to sata adapter or it will fry your hdd and converter and please please do that cuz its free insurance against frying your stuff cuz some of the adapters have insulation where it goes into the hdd. Thanks and really enjoying your vids!! :)
4 years later but I just wanted to let you know why the flux made it harder to bridge those points, it’s because flux helps join solder to the copper pads and it basically sucks it away from the board to the individual copper pad.
Hey man! Just wanted to say thanks for making this video. I'm planning to do this mod myself and really appreciated the heads up on the IDE cable. Who knew all IDE cables weren't equal! Anyway thanks again for saving me some time and a few bucks.
You're welcome! I knew they were different but thought it was a recommendation to upgrade the cable, not a requirement. The original is fine for IDE drives, SATA needs that extra power from an 80 wire cable.
Just fyi ide cables don't carry power just data the 40 vs 80 is just doubling wire to eliminate crosstalk between the wires so in 40 wire 1 wire per pin in 80 2 wires per pin in the xbox sata hdd's send data too fast even with a ide to sata converter so to fix that you upgrade to a 80 wire cable for fast communication between the hdd and the motherboard and with that speed come crosstalk which again is why we double to wires
I just did a TSOP flash for a co-worker. I couldn't find my iron. I used a conductive pen instead. I bridged the points on a 1.0, let dry for 10 minutes. Booted up and raincoat allowed me to dump and flash the bios.
That said I did do all the mods on my old Xbox years ago with a 15 watt antec soldering iron including upgrading the RAM to 128MB. Desoldered the chips from a donor board with a flame pencil

Well SHIT... Never mind my bollocks! This mod doesn't really work 100% :P Looking forward to your next installment because i want a larger drive in my hardmoded xbox
Hi MrMario. I've heard the words 'locking' and 'unlocking' thrown around a lot when it comes to replacing an original xbox hard drive. What exactly is a locked hard drive? Is the factory installed HD paired with the the original xbox or motherboard in some way? Is it something unique Microsoft only did with the original xbox HDs?
Pretty much what you said, the drive and motherboard have a unique matching key that `unlocks` the drive at boot if the keys match. If the keys dont match it throws a `your xbox needs servicing` message up and wont do anything else. The modchip in mine just bypasses the check so you can use any drive you like.
I would love to mod my Xbox, just with a simple softmod :D But the thing is I wish that the softmod can be removed easily and have it not be permanent on the hard drive but instead can be easily removed going back to the systems default state like the ps2 can, I don't know why, it just gives you peace of mind that you can remove the softmod easily and have it as if it was never soft modded, I'm weird :P Oh well, I'll still do it Great video dude! I'm loving the videos on ps2 and Xbox! Two of the best systems of all time :D
You could uninstall the softmod and then delete the saves. I don't see a need now to have a completely stock Xbox, mainly because if needed you could boot into MS Dashboard at any point.
+MrMario2011 yeah that's true, but I meant like being completely back to its original state, but hey it's not a big deal, I'll be planning to soft mod it anyway, keep up the videos bro, they're really fun to watch!
your right, i like doing the softmod via pc , and ndure , also i get to have that added protection of the eeprom or hdd key right there slipstreamed on the disk, definately alot more added work , but almost ensures unlimited access to your xbox. no matter modchip or not
My dad was deployed to somewhere in the Middle East, and while he was there he bought an xbox that has a huge amount of Super Nintendo games hacked onto it, that’s how I got here
Hi! Great video. I'm just thinking about getting an original Xbox to mod, and I'd like to have your opinion on a few things since your advice has helped me in the past. Which revision of the Xbox should I try to look for? Can I replace the clock capacitor with a new one from a good brand like Nichikon to retain original functionality? Or is it possible to replace the capacitor with a non-electrolytic type of capacitor? And lastly, which mod chip do you think I should get for hardmodding the console? I saw your video on the X3 being very expensive, so what would be a better option? Thanks a bunch.
1.0-1.5 revision. You can replace the clock capacitor, but no real need to. If you go with a 1.0-1.5 revision, you can enable write access to the TSOP flash and flash a custom BIOS directly to the console. No need for a chip at that point.
@@MrMario2011 Awesome, thank you for the quick reply! I found a local seller selling a v1.0 revision with a Samsung drive swapped in already for only 25€, but someone contacted them before me. I'll see if I can get my hands on it. Already ordered the stuff I need to upgrade the hard drive too
I ended up getting a filthy V1.4/V1.5 with a Thompson drive, Winbond flash and an exploded clock capacitor. Why do I always have such bad luck with disc drives?
Really love those videos man! I'm really consider buying and modding original Xbox. I want to ask you one thing. I've heard of 128 mb RAM and CPU upgrades mods. Will you consider on doing those?
Hi Mario, does this video show me how to take a stock xbox and install a mod chip and install the firmware to run the stored games from the dash.? I was looking to use aladin and cerbios...though I'm confused as to whats what...is cerbios the software that let's you run the games from the harddrive
80wire is not for power.. the difference between an 40wire and 80wire is that the 40wire has 1 wire per pin, the 80 wire has 2 wires per pin with the new wire going to ground. This provides shielding, as the higher speeds (frequencies) of the sata drives will cause cross talk on a 40wire cable.
Mr. Mario, great video. So you have to do the TSOP Mod in order to switch to a SATA hard drive? For desoldering. I like using desoldering braid, worked well.
Hi Mr. Mario. Great video. For someone already softmodded, can you sum up some of the benefits of TSOP? If I understand correctly, ISO reading from HDD is one advantage (no dealing with long file names). What else? Does anyone have suggestions for 80-wire cables that are better "Xbox" configured than the standard computer ones? It seems you have to fold the cables various times due to the spacing between connectors, On an Xbox, does it matter which end goes to the motherboard? Thanks!
In short you get the benefits of a modchip without actually obtaining and installing a chip itself. You cannot read ISO files on an Xbox. I linked in the description the 80-wire IDE cable I used that works in part 2, folding it is inevitable.
Hey Mario its a Great video but i had question some people said i need to remove the bridged point from soldering after done the tsop to avoid damaging the system is this true? I'm new to xbox modding
I chose the Evox bios for my TSOP because it allowed me to put a dope McDonalds i'm lovin it graphic in the top left while the system boots. I have another Xbox that is softmodded because the darn thing is a 1.6 so TSOP is not possible.
Hey how are you ? Question next time you try a tsop can you try to use a rear window defogger kit to draw a line across the tsop points instead of solder and let me know how it goes its conductive and it shouldn't wipe officer it dries i thought of this after I did my solder points its a pain when you lift the pads off the board lol😆.
Hi MrMario, i want to perform TSOP flash in one of my xbox but unfortunatelly i dont have compatible usb drive, i was also trying hotswap technique but my PC didnt detect xbox HDD, but i have another xbox with aladdin chip. Can I install aladdin in the xbox i want to mod, just for the moment, to start TSOP app from dvd, perform TSOP and than remove aladdin and just work with TSOPed system? what do you think?
Hello, I have an inquiry. I need a way to install custom bios on Aladdin Virgin, my 1.6 device in order to be able to play the Xbox without a DVD drive
question, when you tsop flash ,does that bypass the need to do the homeade tool device thing, to read and save the custom hd id key mated to the motherboard, basically, does that allow you to do everything without manually having to lock and unlock drives using the custom key everytime you change out a part ? o yea , my dvd drive went, if you tsop , would a regular pc drive do anything
All you need to do is softmod your Xbox prior to flashing BIOS, no need to lock or unlock hard drives after that. You have to have a working DVD drive if you follow what I did here.
Maybe use some lead next time you intend to change a cap... makes it easier to get old spots fluid again! 😉 'We got it! We got it! We got it!' You don't do that soooo often, do you (no pun intended)? 😄
Hello, help I have a classic xbox which of the video image with some horizontal lines that jump randomly are like a kind of interference, and probe with other video and audio cables but this interference is not removed, which smd component of the board do you suggest me review?
hey mario - i have the same happend to me - it lifted the pad by attempting the TSOP solder. Can you tell me the alternative solder point? like you did in the video @13:14 sek
i dont know if youll read this but does the bootloop always mean that the cap is busted ? when i was little i sticked a paperclip in the controller port and since then my box only booted every 1000th time
I've done several, but ran into a snag with a v1.0 with non-winbond chip (Hynix). Ran bios checker and points were soldered correctly. When trying to write the EvoX bios, it sticks on Erasing. No status bar just sits there for a while. Any ideas?
NEVER EVER Pry on the cables themselves to disconnect them, get pliers and disconnect them by holding the edges of the plastic and pulling up. You can rip those cables by disconnecting them like that.
I was changing the thermal grease on my og xbox and noticed the mobo was signed, I didn't find any info on why but just as I went to rewatch this video I noticed yours is signed too, any idea on why?
So... regarding that bloody IDE cable... I did not know a 40 pin cable might not be efficient for some hard drives. I guess I KINDA lucked out by accidentally breaking the old cable. One of the plastic clips snapped right off when I tried to unplug the cable from the PATA/SATA adaptor. So brittle. Anywho, currently I'm using a thin 80 pin cable which I had to twist around to make it fit. Any idea if there are any people that sell custom 80-pin IDE cables which are exactly like the original Xbox ones?
got a 2001 model xbox, clock capacitor was still there, in pristine condition, except one leg was broke off and it was practically laying on its side. im assuming since the connection was broke off, the capacitor was never working in the first place, thus it never leaked. lucky me i guess. its gone now
got a used xbox from eBay a couple months back. got for cheap because they said disc drive won't open, but it just intermittently gets stuck, replaced band on disc drive and open/closes fine. so considering its this old and hasn't died should I worry about replacing the clock capacitor? I don't have a soldering iron nor do I wanna mess with one (I'm visually impaired), and I don't wanna risk pulling it out and messing anything up.
Hey +MrMario2011 I had a question for you, I am going to attempt to do this mod very soon. Do you have a link to the website that you're using for the modification? I have an Original Xbox that is similar to yours ( its an ST TSOP ), but I can tell where the RD710 pad is...
Ah, Perfect. Thank you. I believe that I have a 1.1 since one of the south super caps wasn't included from the factory and the GPU heatsink is the later version. R7D3 seems to be the one to bridge!
Mrmario i really need help i have done tsop with hexen 2021 and then the xbox won't boot the dash but when i put hexen disc it work anyways i installed unlashx from hexen disc and now i can't boot both of dash and hexen😢
Is there a certain way to play backups? Used XISO to convert everything to iso format. I used img burn to burn the isos to a dvd (tried both dvd-r and DVD+r) and when the Xbox goes to load up the disc it say disc may be dirty or damaged. Not sure what i did wrong. Im softmoded so it should be good to go.
@@MrMario2011 Alright man. I still have the Original hard drive in there at the moment. Do you have a video or can you recommend a video on how to clone the original hard drive to a new hard drive? Ive never done any soldering before and its a bit scary to me lol Thanks man!
does the console need to be softmodded first before this mod can be done? i ask cause from the sound of it, this acts like a modchip without a modchip, allowing the ability to run the DVD's
The former. You have to softmod in order to TSOP flash, and once you TSOP flash you can use any hard drive so you don't need to worry about locking it.
@@MrMario2011 Thanks for the walk through and suggestion to TSOP first. Bios is flashed, new hdd is in and games are being ripped to it. Though I couldn't get it to do the G drive. originally was going to do 137gb on F and rest on G, put media on f and games on G, but it would not recognize the g partition, so just had to do the whole 1tb on F. So had to baking soda the heck out of the board and all. Oh well. Repasting the cpu/gpu and swapping the fan is a must do for all xbox owners, not just those that plan to softmod or TSOP it.
I'm having trouble flashing the bios I've tried both hexen 2017 and 2018, I get to gentoox and it counts down to boot from disc and won't let me choose another option, I have a winbond chip on a 1.4/1.5 xbox, what boot disc is it waiting for?
@@MrMario2011someone who would know told me that 1.5's were internal units and a very small number were given out as replacements, 1.6b units were warranty replacement units, and the ones out in the wild new in box 1.6b's were given out to competition winners. so i dont know what the truth is.
If I have a stock xbox that is not soft modded and was never opened, should I remove the clock capicitor to prevent damage? Will it affect normal play?
MrMario2011 OK, thanks, I was going back and forth. I have to reset the clock every time I boot as it is, so I'm guessing it has leaked already. Thanks again

26:10 OH sweet :D You CAN use a SATA to IDE board.. I've been looking for a large IDE HDD for the longest time because I've thought i had to use a IDE drive :S
Well SHIT... Never mind my bollocks! This mod doesn't really work 100% :P Looking forward to your next installment because i want a larger drive in my hardmoded xbox
Stay tuned, I can tell you it is all working as I've been playing on it 😁
Sweet @MrMario2011 My body is Regi
Hah.. nerdy Nintendo/Pokemon memes :3 I'm sure you approve
I would love to mod my Xbox, just with a simple softmod :D But the thing is I wish that the softmod can be removed easily and have it not be permanent on the hard drive but instead can be easily removed going back to the systems default state like the ps2 can, I don't know why, it just gives you peace of mind that you can remove the softmod easily and have it as if it was never soft modded, I'm weird :P Oh well, I'll still do it
Great video dude! I'm loving the videos on ps2 and Xbox! Two of the best systems of all time :D
You could uninstall the softmod and then delete the saves. I don't see a need now to have a completely stock Xbox, mainly because if needed you could boot into MS Dashboard at any point.
+MrMario2011 yeah that's true, but I meant like being completely back to its original state, but hey it's not a big deal, I'll be planning to soft mod it anyway, keep up the videos bro, they're really fun to watch!
your right,
i like doing the softmod via pc , and ndure ,
also i get to have that added protection of the eeprom or hdd key
right there slipstreamed on the disk,
definately alot more added work ,
but almost ensures unlimited access to your xbox.
no matter modchip or not
Use the Rocky5 softmod and you can unsoftmod your Xbox anytime you like.
the soft mod i use, cant remember what it is, allows me to boot into the og xbox OS instead, if thats what you are looking for
My dad was deployed to somewhere in the Middle East, and while he was there he bought an xbox that has a huge amount of Super Nintendo games hacked onto it, that’s how I got here
Awesome import!
i know this is old but i bought the Hard drive, ribbon and ide to sata adapter but mr mario says set the drive to master. what pins set it to master?
Look for the jumper on the drive boards.
Electrolytic fluid is what caps actually contain and yes, it’s got a low Ph.
If I have an xbox 1.0, should I put 256 or 512 bios?
What temp should we have our iron at? I want to remove the clock cap, and want to make sure I do it correctly.
Really love those videos man! I'm really consider buying and modding original Xbox. I want to ask you one thing. I've heard of 128 mb RAM and CPU upgrades mods. Will you consider on doing those?
Please, I need more specific information as to where to solder the wire.
Thanks for clarifying!
Mr. Mario, great video. So you have to do the TSOP Mod in order to switch to a SATA hard drive? For desoldering. I like using desoldering braid, worked well.
Nope, you can upgrade to SATA on a softmodded console as well, but you need to go through the process of using Chimp and then locking the drive.
Hi Mr.
It seems you have to fold the cables various times due to the spacing between connectors,
On an Xbox, does it matter which end goes to the motherboard?
Thanks!
In short you get the benefits of a modchip without actually obtaining and installing a chip itself. You cannot read ISO files on an Xbox. I linked in the description the 80-wire IDE cable I used that works in part 2, folding it is inevitable.
Use desolder braid, or a hot air rework station for the clock capacitor :)
Many great options!
Easiest way to check if you have a v1.1 or v1.2 : ATX style power supply connector on v1.2 ;)
Hey Mario its a Great video but i had question some people said i need to remove the bridged point from soldering after done the tsop to avoid damaging the system is this true?
I'm new to xbox modding
Nope. All removing the bridged point does is disable write access.
@@MrMario2011 so its safe it keep the tow pointe bridged after TSOP and no need to remove it
I took apart an Xbox that had never been apart before and it also had a hard drive screw that was completely loose from the mount.
yes you do see it sometimes, iv'e seen a few its always the same screw too.
must be the vibration from the HDD.
I need a way to install custom bios on Aladdin Virgin, my 1.6 device in order to be able to play the Xbox without a DVD drive
question,
when you tsop flash ,does that bypass the need to do the homeade tool device thing,
to read and save the custom hd id key mated to the motherboard,
basically, does that allow you to do everything without manually having to lock and unlock drives
using the custom key everytime you change out a part ?
o yea , my dvd drive went,
if you tsop , would a regular pc drive do anything
All you need to do is softmod your Xbox prior to flashing BIOS, no need to lock or unlock hard drives after that. You have to have a working DVD drive if you follow what I did here.
hi what is a good site for finding modding and repair guides for OG xbox, dreamcast, wii, 360, ?
Great video! Love the Tool mousepad!
Same!
Maybe use some lead next time you intend to change a cap... makes it easier to get old spots fluid again! 😉
'We got it! We got it! We got it!'
You don't do that soooo often, do you (no pun intended)? 😄
Hello, help I have a classic xbox which of the video image with some horizontal lines that jump randomly are like a kind of interference, and probe with other video and audio cables but this interference is not removed, which smd component of the board do you suggest me review?
Hello! Ii have a original Xbox and ii want to softmode it to! Where ii can find the program you insert inside the console? Hexen
Many tutorials up on my channel if you search.
Who else watching in December 2018
hey mario - i have the same happend to me - it lifted the pad by attempting the TSOP solder. Can you tell me the alternative solder point? like you did in the video @13:14 sek
I looked up Xbox TSOP alternative points. Plenty of visual guides for that
Quick question my dude can you replace the cap that leaks? Like with a new one I'm sure you can but.... Microsoft
Yep! You can and should replace other caps that leak, but the clock capacitor isn't needed.
@@MrMario2011 really?? It's not needed? It really like only runs the clock on the Xbox? Seems a bit excessive where just the battery would help it no
i dont know if youll read this
but does the bootloop always mean that the cap is busted ?
when i was little i sticked a paperclip in the controller port and since then my box only booted every 1000th time
Cool stuff :D Wish I could do this to mine :X I have a 1.6
You still can, just gotta chip it!
True :P Hey, did you get my message?
Probably cheaper to just get a different Xbox though, unless you can find a modchip for around 15 bucks.
I’ve been following you guide to mod my Xbox. I can’t find the bios check. Is it possible for you to link an iso?
Do you have to soft mod first or you can do TSOP even if you didn't do soft?
whats that mini ps3 and mini xbox thing under the screen
Gift card holders GameStop used to sell!
you have dog my friend use to have. he passed away few years ago
I was changing the thermal grease on my og xbox and noticed the mobo was signed, I didn't find any info on why but just as I went to rewatch this video I noticed yours is signed too, any idea on why?
Internal notes of some kind, possibly when testing the hardware quickly before packaging it all up.
So... regarding that bloody IDE cable...
Any idea if there are any people that sell custom 80-pin IDE cables which are exactly like the original Xbox ones?
got a 2001 model xbox, clock capacitor was still there, in pristine condition, except one leg was broke off and it was practically laying on its side. im assuming since the connection was broke off, the capacitor was never working in the first place, thus it never leaked. lucky me i guess. its gone now
LOL, super lucky and funny find.
Why not replace the clock cap with a different brand or type of cap that has the same microfarret???
Not worth it when it only holds time for a few minutes, nowhere close to something like a CMOS battery.
got a used xbox from eBay a couple months back. got for cheap because they said disc drive won't open, but it just intermittently gets stuck, replaced band on disc drive and open/closes fine. so considering its this old and hasn't died should I worry about replacing the clock capacitor? I don't have a soldering iron nor do I wanna mess with one (I'm visually impaired), and I don't wanna risk pulling it out and messing anything up.
ALWAYS. It isn't a matter of if it will leak, it's a matter of when. If left leaked out long enough, it WILL cause damage to your console.
IDE cables 80 pin from old pc are excellent to keep tight. Not aftermarket!
Hey +MrMario2011
I had a question for you, I am going to attempt to do this mod very soon. Do you have a link to the website that you're using for the modification? I have an Original Xbox that is similar to yours ( its an ST TSOP ), but I can tell where the RD710 pad is...
Check out the description, I credited Slot1Gamer for his super well done TSOP tutorial, which is what I used.
Ah, Perfect. Thank you. I believe that I have a 1.1 since one of the south super caps wasn't included from the factory and the GPU heatsink is the later version. R7D3 seems to be the one to bridge!
I had to use Composite Video with my v1.2 winbond TSOP mod. When using component it would not show up and reboot.
After trying to do this and the clock capacitor my Xbox won't turn on the fan tries to start but no lights or anything plz help
so is that the white foam i see around the black part? How do i get this stuff off if its dried
Transfer to the hard drive, it's recommended to not play burned discs.
@@MrMario2011 Alright man. I still have the Original hard drive in there at the moment. Do you have a video or can you recommend a video on how to clone the original hard drive to a new hard drive? Ive never done any soldering before and its a bit scary to me lol
Thanks man!
does the console need to be softmodded first before this mod can be done? i ask cause from the sound of it, this acts like a modchip without a modchip, allowing the ability to run the DVD's
That's exactly what it is, and yes you have to softmod before flashing BIOS
I got hold of Xbox Crystal 2 days ago. Does it work on it ? I don't know what version my has I haven't open it and haven't mod it yet
Only if it's an applicable version.
Would you recommend doing the softmod, then TSOP/Bios flash, then replace HDD. Or softmod, HDD swap, then TSOP/Bios flash?
The former. You have to softmod in order to TSOP flash, and once you TSOP flash you can use any hard drive so you don't need to worry about locking it.
@@MrMario2011Awesome, locking issues is exactly why I was wondering about the order. Thanks!
Oh well, not a big deal.
Removing my clock cap, as soon as my pliers touched it (didnt even squeeze it yet to wiggle) and it started spewing acid. So had to baking soda the heck out of the board and all. Oh well.
Repasting the cpu/gpu and swapping the fan is a must do for all xbox owners, not just those that plan to softmod or TSOP it.
Solder wick bro. Solder wick.
I'm having trouble flashing the bios I've tried both hexen 2017 and 2018, I get to gentoox and it counts down to boot from disc and won't let me choose another option, I have a winbond chip on a 1.4/1.5 xbox, what boot disc is it waiting for?
Try using a legit controller, not third party.
@@MrMario2011 I tried 2, original and s controller :-(
hello mr mario, will all sort of 3,5 hdd work on the xbox or are their any requirements?
All sorts.
I've heard that V1.5 don't exist but they do but very rare ("supposedly"). And also V1.6b are pretty rare too ("supposedly").
Supposedly, indeed.
@@MrMario2011someone who would know told me that 1.5's were internal units and a very small number were given out as replacements, 1.6b units were warranty replacement units, and the ones out in the wild new in box 1.6b's were given out to competition winners.
so i dont know what the truth is.
Do you have a link to the bios checker? Thanks!
Quick question. could this be used if a non softmodded xbox drive is dead (keep getting error 07)
Nope, you need to get the console up and running. It has to be softmodded so you can run the homebrew needed to flash.
If I soft mod another Xbox and unlock the drive can I drop that drive in a Xbox with a dead drive (not softmodded)
If i have the hdd on error 16, can i join these soldering points to run from dvd?
Missed out IDE? What has happened between 1986 and 2007
Pretty simple, I wasn't taking anything apart or building my own stuff back then.
If I have a stock xbox that is not soft modded and was never opened, should I remove the clock capicitor to prevent damage? Will it affect normal play?
Always remove if the console isn't a 1.6, it won't affect normal use aside from having to set the clock on boot.
MrMario2011 OK, thanks, I was going back and forth. I have to reset the clock every time I boot as it is, so I'm guessing it has leaked already. Thanks again
Thank you for your videos
HDD in my xbox died. Can I buy a softmoded one with different key, TSOP my xbox and use it with this HDD?
My xbox origenal is loading problem Can u gave the idea how it solve
So what stuff do I have to put in between the two points?
If you're removing the clock like I did, just a soldering iron and some solder. All parts I use are in the description.
i recently messed with my dashboard, now i get error code 14. Should i do TSOP to fix it ?
Could the optical drive also be replaced?
Yes
Can I get a link to the tsop guide please
