Meta receives over $840 million fine by European Union

The fine was handed down to Meta after an investigation conducted by the European Commission found "abusive practices." Documents from the investigators found Meta was tying their classified ads into their social media feeds, effectively pushing out competing companies for business. While Meta intends to pay the fine they have issued a statement saying they intend to appeal this decision.
