Walking through any district or neighborhood or park, my GF can walk anywhere alone and be perfectly safe ...at 3am. Everywone gets a long, everyone is eager to help if someone has a problem, and in every why, opposite of the US. Most laws and government attention is directed to the people, not the wealthy. The public transportation is so good, safe, cheap and frequent, a confirmed car nut in California, I never bothered with getting a car. I get to ,y destimnation quicker by the beautiful subway system for $0.40. The food is healthier and cheaper without chemicals or GMO. Any 10 year old has likely seen 10 world class ballet opera or symphony and more great museums and any Adult in the US. The lack of stress is amazing for someone used to USA or UK/EU. Unlike the collective west, the government does not lie to the citizens. Right now the quality of life and personal freedom of Russians exceeds that of the bottom 85% of Americans.. There is no homeless in Russia, there is very low cost of living and more educated than US or EU, more own their homes, there is very little personal or government debt. It is very safe, everywhere, and without much police presence, it is half the population but twice the college grads and twice the number of STEM grads. There is very little personal debt, very good healh care, free, without waits. Doctors still do house class. I am an American who left California in the first week of 2000, and have lived in St Petersburg Russia every since. I returned 5 times for 1 week each and the decay and explosion of crime, homeless debt etc was hard to believe while every month in Russia gets better. It is far easier to start a business and make it profitable than in the US, taxes are low, services are great. It is calm happy and th emost cultured country on earth. I have a choice, for very low cost, between 4-8 world class operas, or 237 drama, 474 museums, 600 hundred beautiful parks and every have to worry about crime. Walking through any district or neighborhood or park, my GF can walk anywhere alone and be perfectly safe ...at 3am. Everywone gets a long, everyone is eager to help if someone has a problem, and in every why, opposite of the US. Most laws and government attention is directed to the people, not the wealthy. The public transportation is so good, safe, cheap and frequent, a confirmed car nut in California, I never bothered with getting a car. I get to ,y destimnation quicker by the beautiful subway system for $0.40. The food is healthier and cheaper without chemicals or GMO. Any 10 year old has likely seen 10 world class ballet opera or symphony and more great museums and any Adult in the US. The lack of stress is amazing for someone used to USA or UK/EU. Unlike the collective west, the government does not lie to the citizens.
