Great performance; wonderful viola tone
I’m back. I cannot resist her. Her viola loves her. I was going to watch something else, but I couldn’t go by without stopping to listen. They are all good and she is the best I have heard doing Telemann. That instrument loves her.

Wonderful playing! The first viola concerto is the best viola concerto.
That large viola gives a nice earthy quality to the lower register! An impressive performance from everyone. The version of the Andante movement is particularly interesting and I like the way it is played. Skilful ornamentation. Much to learn from this. The whole sound was good despite the rather harsh building acoustic. Too many flat surfaces. Very enjoyable playing of a lovely concerto.
I think this soloist is divine. I do wish the violins played more softly. They tend to take over when their part comes.
I hate to keep cheering but this violist is so good I can’t stop listening. Sorry about my crack about the violins. They’re really OK but the the violist is so superb on an instrument that is so much harder than the violin, I sort of want to take it easy when she’s not playing.
With all those microphones on the stage I suspect that the fault lies with the sound engineer.
It's just the nature of instruments, the orchestration & the recording environment.
I disagree about the balance ,but agree that the violist is special.

I assume it's a combination of a good player and a good instrument, but the tone of the viola is particularly lovely in this. It feels to me like there are a lot more extra grace notes added in lots of places in this performance than most others - is that an authentic Baroque feature being revived along with the smaller ensemble?
I heard a wonderful Telemann sonata. I want to practise so that I can be as close as possible to your playing.

I think I've watched this video already 10 times. Sometimes at half speed to learn her movements in the Allegro. I myself am an amateur viola player, and I've been trying to increase speed and accuracy, but no way. Always amazed to watch her performance.

Nadie puede negar que cuando los conciertos barrocos y, preclasicistas y clasicistas se ejecutan con los instrumentos apropiados (sean réplicas o conservados) y en el tono y el tempo correcto, destacándose la música por sobre el virtuosismo), siempre son mejores que cuando son ejecutados con instrumentos contemporáneos.

Jouer en soliste protège donc du Covid, ou alors doit-on comprendre qu'être dans le rang rend plus fragile et/ou plus contagieux ? Chercher l'erreur et bien dommage que des artistes se plient aussi aisément à de telles aberrations.

The soloist just came out of being at home for 10 days with covid, was negative and fully recovered, so the chances of infecting anyone or herself again were close to zero. :) And masks weren't obligatory on stage in Croatia at that moment anyways.
