This is it! Niccolo Eugelmi has the correct approach to this piece. Sing it out. Let the notes speak for themselves without being too nuanced. All the notes deserve to be heard. Each note is perfect. Other performers let the notes disappear in subtleties. This is a very 'singing' and romantic approach I think it is just right. Bravo!
Love this version, a touch fast ( first part ) but of all versions that I've heard, comes close to what I imagine { as Niccolo has wonderfully played it } & could have sounded in Telemann's day. Slowly gentle & with so much Grace.
I share the feeling that Mr. Eugelmi has played as they would have in the time of Telemann, especially his added notes in the first movement that soloists of that day liked to do.

Beautiful tone and sound! I just think he can take some time in certain parts of the first movement or play a bit with dynamics and musicality so it doesn’t sound the same every time
Beautiful playing ... beautiful music ... wonderful acoustics! (Perhaps a bit ironic to hear such heavenly music in a church named for a "saint" known for his sadistically imaginative sermon "Hell and Its Torments.")
@@samuelrodriguez4946 It's ok to play allegro and presto rapidly but I think that especially largo suppose to be largo that intensity remains. But after all there's no one right answer, only visions and good that you have your own.
Lovely sound. I wish there had been many more compositions for the viola. It’s an under-appreciated instrument.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a viola a solo like this. Thank you!

Parabéns nota 10 para esta orquestra.
Really great playing. I like his sound-- it's so full and rich.

I love the speed of the second movement, the Alegro. It has a wonderful feel of joy and almost sounds syncopated.

The exceptional tone and sound quality! Bravo! 🥰

wow amazing, im only a freshman viola player and high school and my teacher is making me do that for a solo
I played this piece on viola when I was in high school and it's deceptively difficult but a joy to play.
This piece brought me to state solo and ensamble, where I got a first division rateing, it was a joy to play.
i'm currently in sixth grade learning this
we all got this!! :D
All us viola players have played this one at one time or another.
This performance of these performers including Niccolo' is specutacular and inspirational

I am going to attempt to record myself performing this with my opera singer teacher on piano. Probably with the Bloch ~ Suite Hebraique!
Fantastic violist! Izuka sounds very refined in his hands.
Hello Justin, the viola is actually Alan Balmforth, Seattle, 1994. The shape is based on the lira da braccio, as is Iizuka models.
@@NicoloEugelmi001 thx for the info. Your viola has a gorgeous rich and big projecting sound.
Beautiful playing ... beautiful music ... wonderful acoustics!

Perhaps the superb music of Telemann will purge some of that sadism.
Too bad the video skips a bit of the last mvt. Great playing on a wonderful instrument.
Your interpretation and technique was beautiful. I personally think that you used too much vibrato, but every thing else was amazing. Good job!
Why don't you make a Vid & show us how you do it. ?
I'm crazy about a viola that.
Very well, but tempo was too fast in some places
official T% I think they were perfect! I recently performed this, and I took the second movement way slower, but this speed is ideal for me!

The first chair viola was a little flat in the allegro
True. Audience was a bit rude as well coughing during the performance and bringing a child. Otherwise would have been a great performance.
