Ohh man! This was so hilarious and chaotic. John looked like he was dying inside everytime one of his three, yes three, children ate a cookie😆 I feel so bad but couldn't help admiring how pretty the cookies were at the same time. Love this channel!

I remember my first try at making cookies with my kids.
There was yelling, dough everywhere and At the end we were all crying and no one wanted to eat the cookies.

Hahaha. I’m surprised there were so many left even before Papa (that warmed my heart) brought out the ones he had made earlier. George was so patient and attentive while Lachlan was all over the place bent for eating cookies. I am Lachlan when it comes to cookies!

I love how normal your family is. We know that when baking with kids it’s never “perfect “so I think it’s so funny and cute to watch you all baking together as a family. It warms my heart. Our kids are 18 and 16 so it brings back such great memories of the fun, the mess and sometimes the chaos in the kitchen. You are building wonderful memories for those children.

🤣🤣🤣 I’m dying ☠️ the struggle is real. This is EXACTLY what it’s like making cookies with my nieces and nephew 😂😂😂. Brian and Lachlan eating everything before the cookies are even done 🤣 Lachlan takes after Brian and George is mini you. This was the absolute best! It’s always so crazy and chaotic making cookies with the kids but I see it was a lot easier having everything prepped. Last year I tried to have them make the dough with me and oh lord was that an event 🤦🏻♀️ lol I’m a perfectionist and control freak so it was stressful until I surrendered and let them take over 😂 love you guys and hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!!!

When I watch these videos of John with the boys, and even more rarely Brian, all I see is love. Being in videos is the last thing Brian wants to do but he does it because of his love for John. Lachlan and George in the kitchen are a handful but John has them join him with all their energy and personality because he wants to share his love of baking and cooking with them. And John makes these videos because he wants us to learn to love baking and cooking and sharing as much as he does. Thanks John for sharing your beautiful family and amazing recipes with all of us. You really are an inspiration and bright light for many of us.

Dad says, “Cookies to give away” while children stuff cookies into their mouths was hilarious. Cute boys! Start a tradition with the boys by buying them special Christmas ornaments as trip souvenirs. Then when they grow up they can take the ornaments to their home and have reminders of y’all’s trips.
That was hilarious. You can't blame the boys, they were taking lessons from Brian. Thank you for the laugh, I'm going to go back to this video every time I need cheering up.

Merry Christmas John. Darling kids and family. I am an American expat living in Costa Rica. I make Many of your recipes and love them all. I share all my bake goods with the local"tico" community which is quite poor. They have never tasted such great candiles, cookies, cake, pies etc. Lol, they think I'm their hero, but in reality it's all YOU!! They even beg me to open a bakery and/or restaurante! I can't get parchment paper here and many ingredientes widely available in the USA. My mixer is small and nothing fancy but it gets the job done...eventually. My oven is not much bigger than the "Suzzie-bake-oven" from back in the day. Standard cookie sheets are much too large to fit, so making your recipes is an all day event for me. Lol. Also, my oven only has 1 temperature (375 degrees) so I've learned how to adjust to most baking although I tend to burn things quit a bit, or it's half raw inside. LOL. Love your program and thank you for giving options.

I loved this so much, I watched it twice, thanks for putting a huge smile on my face and sharing the spirit of Christmas. Last week I made cookies with my granddaughter (age 3) and had to give her a bath after because she was covered in flour and had cookie dough in her hair, loved every minute. It's almost 5 am , tinnitus double noices in my head . I've been up for almost 2 hours, will also hubby snoring and my 3 year old son in my bed, was looking for some rain sound to mask the noise but found your family baking video and is priceless.
