I've been an apple user for 8 years. I decided to try this fold 5, and boy, i dont even want to look at my iPhone anymore. I love my fold 5, and i start ditching apple devices.
I've had every iPhone since the beginning and switched because the fold 5 looked too cool to pass up on. I'm so stoked with my decision. It's been a month now and I'm still having such a great time with it

@TaranSD no actually I don't. Yes the S23 Ultra is a tab bit heavier with cases on.. buts is extremely lite without any case. I love the Ultra and def glad I switched I can do soooo much more on Here and I'm glad I jumped the fence 🙌🏽😆
I am about to switch to this aswell from an iPhone 14 pro max, I am not excited for new apple releases like I used to be I need something exciting and new
As a big fan of the Nokia E90 Communicator, I actually love the idea of this phone and I'm considering it as my next phone. But I'm not in a hurry to replace my Oneplus 10 Pro any time soon, it's working just fine as it is

I was a iPhone mini phone size fan boy but switched, feeling the Fold was a good alternative since the cover screen is as narrow as the mini and makes one handed use as doable. Then you get the larger inner screen when you want to consume content. It is heavier and bulkier than the mini but the fold 5 made huge improvements from the 4 with the hinge and 9g weight savings. I have thr flip 5 and feel that would be another good alternative to the mini with the 3.4in cover screen option and its compactness in the pocket like the mini but unfolded, you get a larger 6.7in screen vs the minis 5.4in. It is wider than the mini which i wasnt a fan of but if you just want a mini phone alternative, the flip 5 isnt a bad option.
Wasn't an issue in my experience, you just have to link your devices on your Whatsapp profile. Oncw everything synced up you then deactivate on the old device.
I have been very tempted to switch. The biggest draw back for me is some of the HomeKit accessories that I have that won’t be compatible. I’m waiting until Apples announcement tomorrow (even though I’m not expecting much) to make my final decision.
Samsung was kind of a good company but not fold phones because quality of the phone is good. The camera is not great when you take pictures of recording things. It's still been 5 years and the camera suck and their color screen is still too small. Pixel of fold got a perfect scream. Everything else is good about the pixel fold and I believe they can do better than Samsung in the next 5 years. Samsung is getting slower like the iPhone slower. It got no ideas to do anything because what can you do with the phone? Looks like your remote😅😅 Samsung did the best what they can do but then a king their apple lovers. That's why they do small changes every year like Apple do and they both will fall apart and nobody will buy their product. But Google they listen so good for the first phone. They made it almost perfect and the Samsung their first phone was a mess😅 I believe Google can make it better with their fold phones
In my taste, too tall, too big, too thick, ugly design, the mark the foldable screen leaves in the middle really disturbs my eyes every time I look at it. Then kicks in the android UI design which puts the last nail in the coffin ⚰️. But hey as long as you enjoy it and are happy with it that’s what matters !

The main issue is that whatsapp chat history isnt easily transferable between the two platforms. All other hurdles are easily managed.

The Fold 5 is too tall.

Its shorter than phones like the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Looks tall as it's as narrow as an iPhone mini
you'll quickly forget that its tall to be honest, been using it since launch and I'm a previous s22 ultra user.

Fold users since 3 to 5 = stale
