I started out with an 11 pro 4 years later, couple days ago a truck ran through it so i needed something cheap quick. I bought an SE 2 and i’m in love. I wish there was a white version with a white front bezel and a better battery but overall i’m suprisingly satisfied.
The only issue I had with my SE 3 was the battery didn’t last all day. I bought an iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case on ebay and it now lasts all day. I also use the 5 watt charger and my battery health is at 99% after owning this iPhone for 10 months. Also, OLED bothers my eyes so I’m much happier with the lcd screen. My iPhone 14 Pro Max was bothering me to the point that I bought the SE 3. I just wish Apple still sold the Smart Battery Case because it makes this phone perfect for me.
Love the 13 mini and have been using it for the past couple of years. Can’t buy it here in Australia any more so keen to see what the 2024 SE is like. Concerned it’ll be huge like the current range so not happy.
One thing id like to say is that i got my se for $120 in a pretty good conditon, while i really want a 13 mini, theyre still $300-400+ right now. So if you really want something cheap, get the se. Also i didnt realize how much i missed the home button either. Its legendary.
@@spec8888 That was the point for me. I made it into a dumbphone with very little amount of apps. I use my phone far less now and I can get through 3 days without charging it due to that. My life has been so much better and clearer.
I seen so many videos about this phone. I want to know what they say. But why? This is my phone of choice no matter the comments or pros and cons. I love Touch ID. I love using it one handed. Yes phones such as the 13 may be better, but you should get what works for you and suits you. And large phones just ain’t for me. I’ve had SE1, 8, SE2. I tried iPhone 13 and realised it’s nice but not for me. So I’m getting an SE3 because that is the next phone for me. I don’t need bigger, better etc. I call the SE my baby. And that’s exactly how it will stay until I can no longer use this type of phone.
Just buy a MagSafe compatible case and an anker 321 battery. I own both the 3rd Gen se and the 13 mini. Aside from the aspect ratio they are quite similar. And if you are with straight talk, the 3rd gen se is $150…
I don’t get what the problem is. It works perfect for me. I have an SE my entire life and to me. It’s absolutely in the elite product plus everybody wants so much with their phone. Sometimes we say something very simple.
It’s a shame that the phone industry has abandoned people who prefer a clean 16:9 rectangular display phone over these long full screen displays with notches and on screen home buttons cutting into content. The SE3 will probably be the last smart phone I ever buy, I hate the current lineup of iPhone designs. I switched from an 8 to a 12 for 2 years and couldn’t wait to pay it off and go back to my bezels and home button and got an SE3.
I switched from the iPhone 13 mini to the se3 and could not be happier. I love the home button form factor and how comfortable it is in the hand. To me it's the perfect iPhone. Plus it shoots great photos like all iPhones always have.
Love the home button. Slightly bigger screen, same form factor, better camera would be perfect. I love the iPhone SE. I want Touch ID!!! Simple, working
I just bought the SE when my pixel 6a started dropping service. I wanted the cheapest (new) iphone to try out Apple since I have an ipad and MacBook already. So far I like it and I love how small it is. If I decide to stick with an iphone, I'll return this and get the new 16.
And here I am sitting watching on my iPhone XR hoping it will be supported for another two or three years because I really see no benefit in swapping phones asking as the old one still works perfectly fine. It was different 10 years ago. But since around 5 years I do not see any real evolution. Only gradual improvement in things I personally don’t need. As long as you don’t jump at least four orbfove generations, I generally don’t consider it worth it.
I'm still using the 12 Mini. With the new SE coming next year being the size of the iphone 14, the choice is to either get a 13 Mini while they are still available... get the current SE and sacrifice the little things I like about the mini... or bite the bullet and just upgrade to the new SE or 16, and deal with the larger phone. I'd prefer a 16 Mini... but Apple apparently hates small phones... so f small phones.
Finally someone saying the SE's design comes from the iPhone 6. It's not a design "from the iPhone 8" as many say due to the back glass. Yes, the 8 added a glass back panel... but did so to a chassis that has undoubtedly stayed unchanged since the 6. And the 6 turns 10 years this year, so yes, time to go... The iPad 9 carried its design all the way back to the first iPad Air from 2013 - which itself was increased size version of the first mini's design from one year before - and is finally gone, I hope they ditch this SE chassis and give us a decent smaller option, now that the minis are dead
I’d love if they did amd tried to cram in a bigger battery. I’d definitely buy it then!! I have an iPad and a tv/Xbox for UA-cam and Netflix so I don’t need a huge phone.
@@Lucifer-vx7gj I have SE 2020 before but sold it and upgraded to SE 2022. Yes the battery life sucks on SE 2020. Reason why I have an SE is because it's like an iPod Touch and having a second phone is like convenient for me in case my 14 Pro Max dies. Also I bought the SE 2022 for $300 with 256 Gb storage 😊
I got my 80 year old dad 2022 SE model because he just needs a phone to make and receive calls and to occasionally send and received texts. For these needs, the SE is more than enough. For me, I've had the 13 mini for 3 years and love it.
@@eleldiyoupwapi My 13 mini's battery life is at 83% now. Some days that can get me through the day, but most days I need a charge in the late afternoon or evening. I'm planning on replacing it soon so that I can hopefully get another 3 years out of the phone.
I'm totally blind and mostly an android guy but did pick up the SE as a secondary device. Just some accessibility stuff on either platform works better with different apps so it's useful for me to have both. If I'm using the SE on the go it's just hotspotted from my Samsung so I don't really care about the battery life as much. The touch ID is easier for discreetly unlocking my phone in my pocket or whatever than face ID which ended up selling me on the SE over the mini.
I'm still on the old SE. I have tiny hands, need an earphone jack, don't care about any of the flash stuff. Is going to be murder when it needs replacing 😞
I do not agree with you. I am still using my SE 2nd Gen. It’s doing what it should be doing. My wife uses the 3rd gen SE and she is very happy too. Sure, sometimes the screen is a bit small especially with bad eyes 😂 hey I bought it for really cheap and it is still supported. I guess if you are using a newer model and swap to the SE for testing you will notice differences but the buyer for this phone is not doing that and just wants a cheap iPhone.
I've just replaced my original SE with great regret - got a refurbed mini12. The old SE was perfect for my tiny hands, I only use it for brief calls/messaging, music and dumb photos. I wish they'd stop selling us these gigantic-arse heavy tellies - I can't even get my hand round them now.
can anyone explain? the point apple made the back of the iphones glass was because of the mag safe feature. Since the iphone se doesnt support magsafe, whats the point of putting it? is it for looks or to make it shatter so we buy the newer iphones?
The 3rd gen mini is really cheap compared to the iPhone 13 mini.its literally half the price I just got a 3rd gen se with full battery health and great overall condition for 150 quid, the 13 mini is 300 plus in similar condition.Plus the se has larger app icons as the screen is broader. Its a little bargain for 150.The Touch ID button is fantastic.
Only reason to get this iPhone is for Touch ID and a physical sim tray, now that the 13 is discontinued in the US. However, those are both really strong reasons. Honestly before the 15 launched the 13 Mini was just way better but Apple has found a way to make the SE 3 a great deal without actually making it better while releasing 2 new phone generations.
I’m still rocking with my iphone 13 mini at 82% battery life. But still eyeing for this iphone se 3rd gen for extra phone. Also, the feel of having a home button 🤭
Lots of evidence coming to light the impact of smart phones have on our brain - like actual changes in the size and structure of various parts of it. I have no doubt in my mind now, that buttons and tactile feedback is 100% better for you in the long-run than the trash we have now.
i have the se 2022 as a backup and if i had to choose a 13 mini or se, id pick the 13 mini easily. better screen, better camera, better battery, etc. that being said, i still love the se but i hope the next design is like the 13 mini or xr at atleast.
I bought one secondhand from cex , luckily had 99% battery health ☺️ i tried using other larger phones, but due to health problems i struggle to hold the larger phones , also a samsung phone with a super amoled screen made my eyes ache. I did have a 13 mini back in 2021 but i sold it some time ago. I like the SE 3 , i like the home button, i don't mind it's not the latest or greatest. It runs all the apps i use , the phone design suits my needs. For me its necessary, but i don't feel like I've had to compromise, I'm just very glad to have something suitable. But if small smartphones (not the flip version) ceases to function then I'll have to go back to the good old days of a button phone (dumb phone as people call them)
I love the whole body design and size of the SE2 compared to the 13 Mini (I have both of them!). I wish the SE4 will stay in the same physical build as SE2/SE3 but without bezels, no notch screen, no OLED, wide angle camera mode and better battery life. I think they should keep the home button too!
Yo i also find it nowadays more or less ridiculous to run around with a fat 6.1 or bigger brick phone that can do quantummechanics while hiking. Seígh. Nobody cares if there is an A13 or A15 CPU as its a phone. Any CPU works fine for the common user. I dont feel any difference no matter if i am on iPhone 11 12 13 its all same to me. I think an iPhone 13 Mini is a great choice. Battery usage can be optimized by using darkmode, i put it also in flightmode when not in use.. AND - there are these affordable Maglife Powerbanks für 20-30euro that are nowadays slim and cheap and uncomplicated. AND - maybe we waste less time with reels and other idiotic stuff when our phone is a little more limited. hehe.
I'm just switching from iPhone 15 to iPhone SE 3 and it is feels great. I was also an iPhone 13 Mini user as well before the 15 but I have to decide that the compact form on SE 3 is the best. It is also powered by great chip, the only issue is the battery but everything is totally fine and in terms of user experience it's better
Very nice video! I’m using iPhone SE 2nd gen that I bought refurbished for 149$ and I’m very happy with it. I just want to ask what’s the widget you are using in the SE! Thank you!
For someone like me, who doesn’t care about spending a ton and still wants a small iPhone with Touch ID still. This phone works great. I’m a low key cell phone user. Works great for text, call, emails, UA-cam, music. I don’t have socials.
I traded my se 3 for the 12 pro with a friend straight up. They preferred the home button and smaller phone. I was perfectly happy with my se 3, it was just too good a deal to pass up. I do sometimes forget my current phone doesn't have a home button. I wish Apple would put a fingerprint scanner in the power button, so we can have touch id and face id
bro you missed one really big point - the typing experience in mini is disastrous while SE still gives you a standard sized iphone keyboard instead. I think in overall SE gives you less trade-off in daily usage if you're switching from a bigger iphone like the iphone 11 pro or 12 pro max.
They should keep the small size and the button. It's very easy to pay with touch ID. Just tap the button twice and finger print ID comes up and that's it. Very fast to pay for purchases using Tap.
Just make the iphone SE bigger like the iphone 8 plus and all will be fine for a lot of people. Bezels is false debate. The loss of the finger print button is my deal breaker. Can’t get used to looking at the phone notch to unlock it and many people seem not to realize the loss of the finger print button
64 gigs of storage are enough, nobody i know uses magsafe, and the water resistance is good, too. I don’t know, why you are complaining, but for the low price, this is a nearly perfect phone.
And do not forget that some people have eye fatigue with oled screens therefore SE lcd display is a bless. Unfortunatelly in the future only oled apple displays might be in new Iphones...
I love my I phone SE 3 as a student money is limited for me I just wish I got a bigger storage instead of the 64 gigs. Also as long my device keeps having updates, I will be using it until not supported any more right now I am on the IOS 18 beta so it should be supported for a very long time I hope.
After trying a couple of more expensive android phones that disappointed me big time, I got 3rd gen SE. l do play game, watch many UA-cam clips and battery still lasts over a day. I don't have too many apps though. It goes 2-3 days on standby too. I got optimised battery charging turned on and the battery health is still at 100%. There's no glitches like lagging and overheating issues like my galaxy s23 has. This phone is cheaper and more reliable. I use this phone as my daily driver instead of s23 which is supposed to be a flagship phone. How ironic is that?
It’s likely the reason why even though Apple started with 1x & 2x lens, they decided to put more more useless .5 on the cheaper one. They know more people would want the zoom.
Honestly, there only thing that disappoints me with my SE is the lightning port. You’d be surprised how many people miss the home button on modern phones. I’ll be very disappointed if they remove it from the new SE.
I used the 2020 iPhone SE for 5 months before I broke down and bought a used iPhone 11. I didn’t mind the actual body of the phone but I just couldn’t get used to that screen size.
The best/perfect form factor for me is Apple's iPhone 5s. The size of the phone is just right. The newer SE is just hovering under it. The 5s is still the perfect form of any iphone.
i may have to get used to it at some point down the line, but I'll probably upgrade my current SE 2 to an SE 3 within the next year (depends if the 16 proper or SE 4 ends up being).
I got 13mini first, there are things I loved about mini but there are more I didn't like about. I can't remember what they were but after having been using SE for a year+ I just find this cheaper phone so much easier to use and I'll never go back to a flagship or Android phones.

I started out with an 11 pro 4 years later, couple days ago a truck ran through it so i needed something cheap quick.
I bought an SE 2 and i’m in love. I wish there was a white version with a white front bezel and a better battery but overall i’m suprisingly satisfied.
Is it worth?
Should’ve grabbed a se3 for the 5G
The only issue I had with my SE 3 was the battery didn’t last all day. I bought an iPhone 7 Smart Battery Case on ebay and it now lasts all day.
I also use the 5 watt charger and my battery health is at 99% after owning this iPhone for 10 months.
Also, OLED bothers my eyes so I’m much happier with the lcd screen. My iPhone 14 Pro Max was bothering me to the point that I bought the SE 3.
I just wish Apple still sold the Smart Battery Case because it makes this phone perfect for me.
Still rocking my 13 mini, I love it, powerful and small, good camera
Love the 13 mini and have been using it for the past couple of years. Can’t buy it here in Australia any more so keen to see what the 2024 SE is like. Concerned it’ll be huge like the current range so not happy.
Ya I was very confused when rumours said the next SE might be bigger. Everyone loves a small phone!
Looks like it will be 6.1”
Honestly the only aspect that the SE beats 13 mini in is the fact that it has the home button
I’ll agree that I immediately remembered how great TouchID is.
0:11 The scene and the text intro went hard, together! What an idea!
One thing id like to say is that i got my se for $120 in a pretty good conditon, while i really want a 13 mini, theyre still $300-400+ right now. So if you really want something cheap, get the se. Also i didnt realize how much i missed the home button either. Its legendary.
I just switched to a se 3 from a 13 mini. Can’t beat it I don’t think I want to go back for a long time.
@@EliezYT The #1 thing is that the SE has an LCD panel and the massive bezels, the rest of it is great but the screen is just outdated
Haha the drop in the music with the sliding down of the phone was perfect video editing. Well done.
I first started to use wireless charging in 2024. I wish there was a iPhone mini with usb c. But also the rounded corners like the SE have.
If they had that then I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
The best thing Apple could do imho is using the iPhone Mini form-factor for the next SE
I’d love if they did amd tried to cram in a bigger battery. I’d definitely buy it then!! I have an iPad and a tv/Xbox for UA-cam and Netflix so I don’t need a huge phone.
I love the SE 2022 and I'm using it as a secondary phone. My primary phone is 14 Pro Max 😊
I have SE 2020 :/ it’s good phone but battery is not good. But I’m planning to upgrade for 14 Pro Max or maybe 15 Pro 😅
@@TheKRAKEN163where did u buy that SE from?
I got my 80 year old dad 2022 SE model because he just needs a phone to make and receive calls and to occasionally send and received texts. For these needs, the SE is more than enough. For me, I've had the 13 mini for 3 years and love it.
hows the battery life and the batt health of your 13 mini already? I was thinking of getting one
Still happy with my SE 2 as well!
@@clydeosterhout1221Switched to SE3 from a Pixel8 (which I still love) about a month ago and for some reason I can’t go back.
@@randomhumanoidblob4506 I still think use my original SE as an iPod Touch. It is also my back up phone, for just in case!
can anyone explain? the point apple made the back of the iphones glass was because of the mag safe feature.
Almost bought an extra se3 coz they were selling it for $40 T-Mobile locked
I have to use the SE 3. Apples oled screens kill my eyes
I'm still using an iPhone SE (1) from 2016 and really like it.
Only reason to get this iPhone is for Touch ID and a physical sim tray, now that the 13 is discontinued in the US. However, those are both really strong reasons. Honestly before the 15 launched the 13 Mini was just way better but Apple has found a way to make the SE 3 a great deal without actually making it better while releasing 2 new phone generations.
which one is for the better calling quality?
My favourite design iPhones
iPhone 5s or SE 1st
iPhone X or Xs silver
iPhone 15 pro
SE 3 & 13 mini is good for secondary device.😊
I’m still rocking with my iphone 13 mini at 82% battery life.
But still eyeing for this iphone se 3rd gen for extra phone.
Also, the feel of having a home button
🤭
As long as that home button is there I'll keep buying 😊
the last iphone if u are pwm sensitive. will be the backup phone to iphone 11. lcd screens only
I went from a 13 mini to SE3 due to having Pwm. I miss my 13 mini so much
Same but you know I can’t complain, it does about as much as my mini and the home button is a lot more reliable.
i have the Iphone SE 2022 and it's just GREAT!
Lots of evidence coming to light the impact of smart phones have on our brain - like actual changes in the size and structure of various parts of it. I have no doubt in my mind now, that buttons and tactile feedback is 100% better for you in the long-run than the trash we have now.
Just brought a SE3 for $150 new from Walmart, I brought a MagSafe case and screen protector and it works fine …no regrets.
i have the se 2022 as a backup and if i had to choose a 13 mini or se, id pick the 13 mini easily. better screen, better camera, better battery, etc. that being said, i still love the se but i hope the next design is like the 13 mini or xr at atleast.
But if small smartphones (not the flip version) ceases to function then I'll have to go back to the good old days of a button phone (dumb phone as people call them)
I have had all the iPhone SE models and I loved it.
I miss small phones (under 5 inch) so bad !
Me to, I wish they would make a comeback 😢
The SE 3 is a dated phone? It just came out 2 years ago.
Very nice video! I’m using iPhone SE 2nd gen that I bought refurbished for 149$ and I’m very happy with it. I just want to ask what’s the widget you are using in the SE! Thank you!
Thank you! Just added the link in the description. See “iPhone Widgets”.
@@VittorTechThank you, didn’t know it costs tho :(
For someone like me, who doesn’t care about spending a ton and still wants a small iPhone with Touch ID still. This phone works great. I’m a low key cell phone user. Works great for text, call, emails, UA-cam, music. I don’t have socials.
I have a question. New android or old iPhone ?
Home button for the win
They should keep the small size and the button. It's very easy to pay with touch ID. Just tap the button twice and finger print ID comes up and that's it. Very fast to pay for purchases using Tap.
I have an iPhone SE 3 and I love it
How long does the battery last , and r u heavey or liter user my guy ???
Nombre de la aplicación? Ese widget que tienes en tu pantalla de inicio se ve curioso.
I love that intro especially the se sliding down the wireless charger!!! Made me watch the whole thing lol
I love the SE. The smaller size is perfect and it does everything I need.
thanks, this video helped me to decide that I want to switch to iPhone SE from 15 pro. I need some digital detox...
Wow, stunning video quality and spot on analysis! Thank you, you deserve so many more subscribers and views!
Just wondering what is the cool widget you're using on the iphone SE? Many thanks in advance 😊
Genuinely curious, what widget is that on the se? Looks neat and would love to try it out
This is still the perfect work phone. Compact, robust, easy to use with one hand. Has the latest iOS and basic features you need.
I'm switching from 11 to SE
Correction. Bought the SE, returned it and was going to get a 13 Mini but couldn't find a reliable source so I bought a red 256gb 14
I actually chose this phone over a $1000 new iPhone and been happy since. Plus i got it for free for switching to Verizon ❤
I have a SE 3 as business phone, I love it!
I'm still with the iPhone 8. I've noticed the iOS UI doesn't fit anymore on this screen proportion, everything just dont look fine on this screen
Also as long my device keeps having updates, I will be using it until not supported any more right now I am on the IOS 18 beta so it should be supported for a very long time I hope.
iPhones on average have a 7-year long software support so the SE 3 will last until 2029-2030
You'll never get my wife to part with her iPhone 12 Mini.
Ultra wide is such a gimmick like who even uses it except for landlord taking picture of their rented apartment
It’s likely the reason why even though Apple started with 1x & 2x lens, they decided to put more more useless .5 on the cheaper one. They know more people would want the zoom.
I use it a lot 🤷♂️ much more than 1x
I have a 12 pro though and the ultra wide is better than the minis
i wish they make the iphone 5 size and design with full desplays. i would buy it even if it costs more than the pro series
The 5s is still the perfect form of any iphone.
the iphone se is FINE the battery life is FINE this phone is good so much hate
I have a Samsung a54, would it be worth making the jump to the iPhone SE 3rd gen? or is it better to do it on the iPhone 13 mini
If you love 120hz refresh rate then go for 13 mini..because it feel quite like 120hz even it 60hz
i may have to get used to it at some point down the line, but I'll probably upgrade my current SE 2 to an SE 3 within the next year (depends if the 16 proper or SE 4 ends up being).
Rumours have said the next gen SE isn’t coming this year :(
I'm confused you switch from the 13 mini to the SE 3rd (Gen) and switched back to the 13 M?
I did end up going back yes. Just did a video on what it was like to go from 13 mini to the 16.
I got 13mini first, there are things I loved about mini but there are more I didn't like about. I can't remember what they were but after having been using SE for a year+ I just find this cheaper phone so much easier to use and I'll never go back to a flagship or Android phones.
What’s the battery widget on the SE?
