Today is our first time reviewing a track off of Def Leppard's, 2008 release, Songs from the Sparkle Lounge. Much of this album was written while on tour in support of 2006's Yeah album, where the band called the room they wrote and rehearsed in backstage, the Sparkle Lounge. The goal was to produce an album leaning more towards a 70's rock sound.
The last track on the album is a Vivian Campbell-penned tune called, 'Gotta Let It Go', which we tackle today.

Both great tunes... looking forward to reviewing more off this album as it was often overlooked in Def Leppard's catalog.
I forgot about this song! Its decent but a complete 180 from my favorite stuff from them (H&D, Pyro, Hyst.) It's just not memorable IMO. Great reaction as always thank you for doing every Def song as no one has done this before. Cheers
Thanks so much for the comments. We're having a great time doing all the songs. It's a lot, but they have such a diverse catalog that its fun to dive into a song like "Gotta Let It Go" one day, then "Rocks Off" the next. I agree this isn't High n Dry, but watching the evolution of a band over 45 years is what really drew us to this project. Glad you're enjoying it! Cheers and Rock On ~A
Awesome song from probably my 2nd favorite album of all time, only to be outdone by AFD, sorry Andy. The 'problem' with ranking this song in the top half of the album is which songs do you put below it? I personally love Women and I think I'd end up putting this in the 8 to 10 range. Cheers guys!
Well I'm sure you made Todd quite happy with the Appetite reference, LOL! But honestly, any album that has the star power Hysteria did is gonna have songs that suffer simply because there is no filler. I think Pyro and Hysteria both fit that bill, but yeah, ranking is tough. I'll tackle it one day :)

I'm not a fan either; too light for me. I'd rather listen to this than Nickelback, though.
