Thank you for all the comments. The old girl is far from finished yet. Seriously considering a dual cab chop or extra cab, not sure yet. Of course that just opens up a whole lot more options and mods to choose from. 😁😁 Thanks Ronny for the opportunity to show off my rig. The episode turned out better than I could have hoped for. Cheers Juha
Hey Juha, Great truck mate, real neat and Tidy. I was wondering if you could provide me the details of the guy you mentioned that made the rear canvas bag and tyre cover? cheers,Jarrod.
Nice surprise to find some Finnish guy from Ronny Dahls Modified episode!😍 Juha how long have you lived in Australia? Your accent does not reveal your roots to Finland. Best Regards Mika
Wow, really impressed with Juha's 105, he has done a lot of thinking. Great Ep of Modified, really enjoyed the question relating to Vehicle issues. Great Stuff
I'd love to see Modified episodes that compare how different country's set up their rigs based on environments. Potentially doing a webcam Q&A and sent in video. It would add some variety and potential new knowledge for all of your viewers. Love the videos and always waiting for more!
Really nice 105! Outfitted pretty much like my Lexus 80, well without the diesel. Sucks here in the States when it comes to LC's! I've gotta come up with a way to mount a solar panel on mine, but I have a roof top tent on my Front Runner rack. Only real option is some sort of slide out tray. Good job Juha! Interesting fridge too. I love my ARB. Really changes things being able to keep food for long trips! (or even going to the grocery store here in Arizona in the summer time!). I just got a new Ram Power Wagon. Factory diff locks, swaybar disconnect and 12k Warn winch with a rear suspension like a LC. And a 6.4 HEMI. Beast, but big! Going to be interesting on the trail. Ronny can you do a review on a modified PW? ;-)~
Hey Ronnie! I'm working on my overlander, it's a 2014 RAM 3500... Would love to see some more land Cruisers or patrols, 79 series is my favorite. Love the content mate!
What's the pro's and con's of owning featured vehicle, such as - power/performance, - mechanical failures/repairs, - fuel economy, - purchase price, mods cost, - plans to keep or sell featured vehicle... You might need to ask a couple more questions Ronny. I don't mind watching for an extra few minutes, your videos are very interesting, many thanks.
the Roo Shoos do work, as they are like a dog whistle in essence and spook Roos. the issue is, alot of Roos in the bush are deaf due to ticks, so they wont work on deaf ones obviously haha
I once hit skippy doing 110 on the Nullarbor - my Discovery 2 stopped in about 2 feet (slight exaggeration for comedic effect); that was a big assed f*cking roo. Bent the bull bar back six inches, broke the headlights and grille. The damn things are suicidal. Poor skippy didn't make it.
LOL - Who told you that ticks make roos deaf ? That's funny. And the Shoo Roo doesn't work. Proven not to work - and they don't work. And the last thing you want to do is startle a roo because that is when they jump out. The best thing is to do the speed limit because it's slow vehicles and the change of speed of a vehicle that makes them startled and jump out. Any farmer, forest ranger or truck driver will tell you this. The best thing is to drive at a constant speed. The roo hears it and ignores it because it's "normal". As soon as a roo hears braking or something different it gets startled and then it's simply a game of chance - left or right.
Yeah, you don't vary speed much in a TD5 D2 - 0-60's are measured using an hour glass and the braking is leisurely at best. 110 is the speed limit, and because of the fascist cops in Australia, I end up using cruise control a lot.
Those Roo shoes absolutely DOES work! As OP said they spook the Roos and their hearing arnt that good. From my own personal experience, I had 4 fitted on my car, they spooked a family of 3 Roos enough for them to cross the road as I was approaching them, miss the big mother too by inches and the 2 babies stopped in time and did a Uturn missing them by inches also. Sorry about the long story.
Awesome motor man much the same as I have done to mine free wheeling hubs lift safari snorkel draws Etc but I'm for getting lockers next nice vehicle 👍
Long live Finland, The Finnish people and Finnish Culture. Beer + Bacon + Reindeer = Civilisation. Off-roading and rally in Finland is first class. Been there, done that :-) I hope that beer was Lapin Kulta. It's great beer. Tykkään juoda olutta Suomessa. :-)
Have you ever come across an 87-95 Nissan Pathfinder in your travels? Would love to see a "modified" episode of that truck as I am building one currently. Great job and keep up the good work. Cheers from N.Y.
juhas . did you fit your engine yourself? or you let perth 4x4 do it? And how much you spent in the conversion? Coz im planning to follow your path. I do have a 2004 1hzj105 GXL, its all about the budget now. Cheers!
Hey there Ronny, would be awesome if you could please do a modified episode on a 80 series landcruiser with the factory 1hdt motor. Got myself one of these over here in NZ and would love to see what kind of mods would be best to run. Cheers
Just curious as to wether that 105 series is a 24v start with that deep cycle installed. My 91 80 series has two batteries for 24v start, but runs 12v for everything.
Eben Alton it's a 12v system. The start battery is a n70z wet cell, 720cca, used solely to start the rig and operate the winch. The deep cycle is a n70t, wet cell also, this runs all my accessories, the solar panel feeds this battery only. It's operated through a 140A dual battery management system.
Juha I’ve just watched your mod of the 105. I have a 94 - 80 series with 1hdft upgrade. Question : the gear box, is it the standard Toyota heavy duty box from the later models. Just wonder if it the same as my upgrade because I’m running 285 70 16 and thinking of going 35’s. There will be a change in speedo reading, have you done anything to correct this.
Hi Ronny, I watch your videos from Spain. Love them!! I would like to know exactly why people put two batteries in their vehicles and how they do it to keep them charged. I realise it's a silly question for learned folk, but I'm starting. thanks and keep up your excellent work
Hey Ronny love the mod vids however I was wondering how many are legal/roadworthy. I have a 79 single cab running 35s which is illegal/unroadworthy, not to mention lift etc. Just because it's insured doesn't mean it's legal or covered even if you tell them of all the mods done. As we found out in the small print it says must meet road regulations. Now that's a vid you could try to do.
WA, QLD and NT as far as im concerned are the most relaxed out of all states with NSW and VIC being the classic nanny states and being overly anal for most modifications etc.
Hi Ronny! I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of anyone putting diff lockers on Subaru Outback? Also if you know where to get lift kits, the only I found here in Sweden is 250 mm lift. Maybe you can find more Subarus to look at? Regards from Sweden.
Hi Ronny, I am from wa Perth as well and hav just turned 17 and want to get a good 4x4 that is cheap, I want a ute because I also have a dirt bike, I have been looking at Nissan Navara D22 but am not sure can you help me with some good suggestions?
Ronny, any chance of a Prado 120 series mod? Mine isn't, and I live on the green side of Aus (3K away). Wouldn't mind seeing what people do to make 'em more robust. Keep the video's coming mate, very entertaining :-) Cheers, Dodge.
Hey mate Just saw the video, love your work. Keep it up Quick Question: you didn't bring up the fuel tank capacity and fuel economy, any info on that? I'm considering the same vehicle
that seems to be the highest requested vehicle to date, will look into this more a bit more, they are not that easy to find but I'm sure there are a few around.
one of my teachers down here in albany has a 100 series landcruiser i might be alvle to get him to message you and how how you like him to contact you if so
Bailey's 4x4 , the biggest consideration will be budget. I'm going to stick with 35' s just don't know which brand yet. They will be a more aggressive tyre than that of the s/t's.
Thank you for all the comments. The old girl is far from finished yet. Seriously considering a dual cab chop or extra cab, not sure yet. Of course that just opens up a whole lot more options and mods to choose from. 😁😁
Thanks Ronny for the opportunity to show off my rig. The episode turned out better than I could have hoped for.
Cheers
Juha
Hey Juha,
Great truck mate, real neat and Tidy. I was wondering if you could provide me the details of the guy you mentioned that made the rear canvas bag and tyre cover?
cheers,Jarrod.
Wanna do an engine swap? Kinda regret getting an FZJ105R now.
Great rig though mate.
Hey mate what are your thoughts on the powerful rear wheal carrier....im tossing up between the power and MCC
Hi how are you, and how is the rig two years on? Greetings from Scotland.
Nice surprise to find some Finnish guy from Ronny Dahls Modified episode!😍 Juha how long have you lived in Australia? Your accent does not reveal your roots to Finland. Best Regards Mika
That is an absolute ripper of a cruiser - Factory turbo 105 is the best combo.
105's never came with a factory turbo option.
I am fully aware of that - I am saying changing a 105 to factory turbo motor (as this rig has) is the ideal combination.
Harry Fisher Roger, thank you. Yes. Cheers.
so that'd be a 1HD-FT(E) in there? Same as the 80/100 series?
@@splashmaster2000 its a 1hdft, 24 mechanical injection out of a factory turbo 80 series. The 1hdfte is in the 100 series and hdj79
Wow, really impressed with Juha's 105, he has done a lot of thinking.
Great Ep of Modified, really enjoyed the question relating to Vehicle issues.
Great Stuff
awesome rig, gives me good ideas for my 105. Well done Juha and thank you Ronny.
I dig that "Nissan Recovery Vehicle "
I'd love to see Modified episodes that compare how different country's set up their rigs based on environments. Potentially doing a webcam Q&A and sent in video. It would add some variety and potential new knowledge for all of your viewers. Love the videos and always waiting for more!
Loved seeing the 105!

Wow and what a neat fridge drawer
Really nice 105! Outfitted pretty much like my Lexus 80, well without the diesel. Sucks here in the States when it comes to LC's! Awesome 105 and love your videos keep it up👍👍
Neat shower system, I've never seen that. Also a nice filter.
Hi everyone, if you have question suggestions for the Q&A in future videos please place them in comments below. Cheers
Do Roothys 40 before he finishes his new one, then you can do the new one later!
What's the pro's and con's of owning featured vehicle, such as

You might need to ask a couple more questions Ronny. I don't mind watching for an extra few minutes, your videos are very interesting, many thanks.
Ronny Dahl ronny you should do some 90s hilux the 2.8Ds with solid front axles theyre iconic rigs

Hey Ronny is it good to flex or not to flex or is it got to do with which vehicle you use and do you need a special setup for either one.

Awesome Video Ronny.! As usual. Wish you could come down to Kenya and do one on my 100 series...
Ronny Bro You are awesome!
great vid ronny! car looked great too!
Thanks for honest information...cool video....thank you...
the Roo Shoos do work, as they are like a dog whistle in essence and spook Roos.

skippy didnt make it but your car did thats the main thing the nullarbor is long and empty
LOL - Who told you that ticks make roos deaf ? That's funny.
And the Shoo Roo doesn't work. Proven not to work - and they don't work.

Nice rig
Have you ever come across an 87-95 Nissan Pathfinder in your travels? Would love to see a "modified" episode of that truck as I am building one currently. Great job and keep up the good work. Cheers from N.Y.
Where would I find one of those side instrument pods that replace the moulding on the A pillar? I am in South Africa.
I'd to see the full heated shower set up, pretty interesting.

Hey Ronny, what do you think of the new TRED Pro recovery boards?
havnt tried them
juhas . did you fit your engine yourself? or you let perth 4x4 do it? And how much you spent in the conversion? Coz im planning to follow your path. I do have a 2004 1hzj105 GXL, its all about the budget now. Cheers!
The last Land Cruiser before it turned into a glamorous Winnie Pooh!
Ronnie you need to do a Modified episode on a Delica lol.
I am actully looking for one, but very hard to find one with much on it.
How about a review on the 2007-2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee WH with the 3.0L Mercedes Diesel Engine
Hi Rony I want to buy my first 4Wd here in OZ and i'm between Prado 150 and Patrol, what do you reckon should I buy?? Thanks
Ronny, can you do a review on your new combo led/hid driving lights please??
Nice decked out 4wd.
Can the body 100, 105 convert to HZJ80 frame without bracket frame modification.?
Awesome modified vid as usual. really makes me miss my old hzj105.
Hey there Ronny, would be awesome if you could please do a modified episode on a 80 series landcruiser with the factory 1hdt motor. Got myself one of these over here in NZ and would love to see what kind of mods would be best to run. Cheers
He's doing mine soon mate - 1HDT 80 Sahara

Once I saw you mentioned that two in series makes a 24v but I didn't get the advantage.
because we run 12 volt fridges
Hey Ronny love the mod vids however I was wondering how many are legal/roadworthy. Spot190103 I think that would be difficult because the laws are probably different in every state/country
WA, QLD and NT as far as im concerned are the most relaxed out of all states with NSW and VIC being the classic nanny states and being overly anal for most modifications etc.
So wish I had bought an Auto Turbo Diesel 105 instead of the FZJ105R 5 speed manual Petrol. Maybe swap it over to Diesel when it dies.
Good video. I'd like to see a 76 series review.
there is one coming in the near future
Hi Ronny!
I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of anyone putting diff lockers on Subaru Outback? Also if you know where to get lift kits, the only I found here in Sweden is 250 mm lift.
Maybe you can find more Subarus to look at?

Ronnie I can barely hear. get some mics
Hey Ronny, love the videos. I am a subscriber and was wondering where are the 80 series land cruisers?
Would like to add the request to a 95 Prado, diesel one 3.0td. Looking to buy one them soon.
Hi Ronny, I am from wa Perth as well and hav just turned 17 and want to get a good 4x4 that is cheap, I want a ute because I also have a dirt bike, I have been looking at Nissan Navara D22 but am not sure can you help me with some good suggestions?

Is that a 1hd-t or a 1hd fte? Doesn't seem like a 1hd fte to me
Hey mate
Just saw the video, love your work. Keep it up
Quick Question: you didn't bring up the fuel tank capacity and fuel economy, any info on that?
I'm considering the same vehicle
Ronny, im just doing the same engine conversion on my olld 1hz 79 series, i would love to get iinn contact with this guy just to ask a few qs
Would love to see a prado 90
that seems to be the highest requested vehicle to date, will look into this more a bit more, they are not that easy to find but I'm sure there are a few around.

one of my teachers down here in albany has a 100 series landcruiser i might be alvle to get him to message you and how how you like him to contact you if so

Bailey's 4x4 , the biggest consideration will be budget. I'm going to stick with 35' s just don't know which brand yet. They will be a more aggressive tyre than that of the s/t's.
