Love a V8 conversion, looks & sounds great. Ronny, re the cup holder chargers: they're good, but divide the power going through them. I had 2 iPhones, a HX-1 & a lithium jump pack plugged in mine. After a 6 hour drive, only the phones were charged. Best used on things that aren't so power hungry.
Cool truck... I just got one to work on yesterday, I am excited.. is a 92 but needs transmission work. but will fix it and see how it works out.. I do have a 4 runner and i like it.. but I think i am going to like the landcruiser better
@@gasperajdnik5627 I am thinking on retiring in Slovenia. will need one of these there... but I think the fj80 are rare. wouldn't mind a landcruiser prado. don't know if I should ship from the US or buy somewhere in Europe.
Some times When im watching your videos im ashamed of my self Because i own A 1988 Mitsubishi 2wd pickup Dunno if i belong in 4x4 community don't get me wrong it's just me But i won't give up I'll try my best & save money for my first 4x4 vehicle already picked one Its just matter of time Sorry guys just wanted to share my feelings thx for reading my comment:) Anyway When the time is right I'll be back to update this comment stay safe guys
If you can find one start with a Suzuki. They're small capable little rigs, don't need much work or accessories and have cheap affordable mods on the market
Good motivation to work for it and remember when you get there you don't need all of the bells and whistle to have fun. We don't care what vehicles join our trips, as long as the people are lekker.
Awesome 80! I’m planning on a ls1 conversion to my 1990 fj80, but with GM auto. Got most of the parts, just need to find the time as mine is also a daily drive.
He mentions the mechanical clutch cooling fan rather than the thermo fan. That would pull a decent amount of air in as well as air getting driven in around the lightbars when moving. He may even have ducting and shrouding to assist air getting past the lightbars. Nice rig!
hi rony, quick question here, instead of an ls engine swap, can one do the conversion with the 79 series engine or 76 into the 80? that would be magnificent.
Ronny I am looking your video becose I am going to buy a new LC say I am 68 and like to travel a lot say Vietnam to south Africa question is I am hesitating between 78 and 80 both with 4.2 engine here in Laos anay idée or sugestion to help my decision? I will installé a allucab RTT thanks all Bob Laos
i have a triple locked 80 i love. i have a 6.6L Duramax motor that i would like to put in it just not sure i have all the expertise to accomplish it. would be cool tho.
1993 fzj80 4.5 gasoline engine. I'll settle for getting a lift kit right now a 3 inch emu suspension system. Save for a few years maybe a decade, then I can swap los one of these engines.
Nice 80! If the owner is reading this how do you find the dobbos kit on road?? I have been looking to upgrade my 80s suspension to the dobbos 3’ kit thanks! Another great video Ronnie.
Como puedo tener el celular o el email del sr para comprar esos guardachoques traseros y delanteros para ese modelo de land cruise...xfavor...enviemelo x este medio
Ronny asked about the “best part [of the vehicle]” (around minute 19) and you answered, “it is a Toyota.” I beg to differ!! You changed the engine to an LS1. It is no longer a Toyota 😋😬
Very nice 80 - they are the best landcruiser by far. Reading through the comments I'm not the only one thinking it either. I still miss my 80. www.offroad80s.com
This is my favourite Landcruiser out of the other series. love to see a really neat and clean example.

The best 4x4xFar! The most iconic ever made.
What a fantastic build! I love all the mods you have done. It's all well thought out and functional.
Perfect example of a tidy 80 series 👌 Surely there’s someone out here with a 60 series build 🤙
Best 4WD Ever Built!
Daily Drive - He Wins!
Mate is simply having a blast!! Letssss gooo!! 🤙🏼
Love that this truck is actually sitting level
This man's Rig is Inspiring.
Ronny, thanks for 80's review! I used to had one.
Sasha from Russia
This thing is an absolute BEAST!
Still waiting for the surf/4runner episode ronny!
Toyota LC80 Series.THEE BESTEST 4x4 ever built! The 1HD-FT diesel engine being the torque king...
Great you tube channel Ronny keep it up mate.

Seems a really well thought out range of modifications. Really impressive skills and thinking.
Only thing i would change would be the light bars, they're blocking the air from getting to the radiator. Get some spots on top, look better too :)
Greetings from Slovenia 🇸🇮
Greetings from Las Vegas... (I went to Slovenia two years ago) Very nice !!
Tanks mate
do you have one of these in Slo?
Yes My friend has it
@@gasperajdnik5627 I am thinking on retiring in Slovenia. will need one of these there... but I think the fj80 are rare. wouldn't mind a landcruiser prado. don't know if I should ship from the US or buy somewhere in Europe.
top vehicle, love the 80 had two myself a 1990 when they first were produced and a 1997 GXL
Nice video Ronny. Weapon of an 80.
Some times When im watching your videos im ashamed of my self Because i own

But i won't give up

Sorry guys just wanted to share my feelings thx for reading my comment:)
Anyway
When the time is right I'll be back to update this comment stay safe guys
Best entry 4wd in my opinion would be a 1kz surf
Get a Montero! Or pajero if youre not in the U.S.
If you can find one start with a Suzuki. They're small capable little rigs, don't need much work or accessories and have cheap affordable mods on the market
Don't be ashamed. All cars are great. Just have fun
Good motivation to work for it and remember when you get there you don't need all of the bells and whistle to have fun. We don't care what vehicles join our trips, as long as the people are lekker.
All those mods and it's a daily drive , what a go anywhere beast :-)
That is one epic looking rig
Awesome 80! I’m planning on a ls1 conversion to my 1990 fj80, but with GM auto. Got most of the parts, just need to find the time as mine is also a daily drive.
awesome video as always mate! still waiting on an FJ40!
Hell yeah.
What a rig and the Music is back.
Now i wish i wasen't chopping my 80.
kyron byrne mate I have a dual cab chopped 80 and love it you won’t regret it
chop it
I reckon ronny should do an episode on sam eyles GU patrol
Andrew Freeman they are Sam revealed on his Instagram a week or so ago
I think the dual led light bar would block a lot of air flow.
Still waiting for the 4runnner 3rd gen. Diesel version of course. Hoping to see it Ronny. Cheers
Favorite Modified of 2018!
Nice Landcruiser!
I love this car ! 😍 . 🙏
Question Ronny how does the radiator get air?
TabeiS2000
I'm wondering the same🤔
He mentions the mechanical clutch cooling fan rather than the thermo fan. That would pull a decent amount of air in as well as air getting driven in around the lightbars when moving. He may even have ducting and shrouding to assist air getting past the lightbars. Nice rig!
Matt Ridley
By thermo you mean electric?
yeah electric fans insted of thermo .. problem solved.. light bars dont block THAT much air
Awesome have a good day
Nice cruiser. Trying to get all the gremlins out of my v8 swap.
Nice wagon...
I love that car ! A bit thirsty though :)
Great looking vehicle
Awesome rig!
Awesome 80.
Here before getting the notification. 👍
hi rony, quick question here, instead of an ls engine swap, can one do the conversion with the 79 series engine or 76 into the 80? that would be magnificent.
So what’s the cost with engineering. So 12k for the motor install 6k for Mark’s kit….. that’s a beast thanks for sharing
Now this is awesome,
I do have way more made in aussie on my rig than this one.
Nice
Will you be doing a modified on Sam Eyles’ ‘Built Not Bought’ LS-swapped Patrol Ronny? That would be a great one to set up 👍
Jacob C This. Seeing those two on the same video would be awesome
Yea mate Sam said it on his Instagram
LS for the WIN!!
Stunning ,
👍👍👍, у меня токойже только белый👍
not sure if I missed it, but did they mention fuel economy?
Ronny time for a Toyota Surf/4Runner modified
Love the work mate
you living on the west coast it would be cool to try and get a patrol/cruiser thats had the works from brunswick diesel..just a suggestion
Ronny I am looking your video becose I am going to buy a new LC say I am 68 and like to travel a lot say Vietnam to south Africa question is I am hesitating between 78 and 80 both with 4.2 engine here in Laos anay idée or sugestion to help my decision? What’s that antenna? Where can I buy it?
Hey ronny, you should do a newer ford ranger PXII modified and also an isuzu dmax one
i have a triple locked 80 i love. i have a 6.6L Duramax motor that i would like to put in it just not sure i have all the expertise to accomplish it. would be cool tho.
Ls1 with ls2 heads, so roughly what power output would this produce?
roughly 300hp-350hp
Best part: It’s a Toyota :) No nonsense answer.
Johan Johansson
The heart is GM...
Is it really a Toyota still if it has an ls1?
Agent. K. His answer, not mine. Seems like a nice combination. I guess the ls1 option is good value for money if you want some more grunt.
Phil Preston Probably yes. Would you hit the outbacks in an all Chevy, not likely. But pieces of GM is excellent. Imho.
1993 fzj80 4.5 gasoline engine. I'll settle for getting a lift kit right now a 3 inch emu suspension system. Save for a few years maybe a decade, then I can swap los one of these engines.
what brand are the running boards?
I hope he meant, 12000 lb winch at the start not 1200 lb like he said 😂
please please do a prado 150 Ronny....
I want to run 35s on my 80 in the future how did you get it though the pits with 4inch and 35s
Great video! Question: Who is the intro song artist? Reminds me of One Day as a Lion.
That's why it sounded familiar! Shazam says it's Weightless by Peace Time from an album called Zoothing Zen Vol 2, but I can't find it anywhere.
Need a Suburu Brumby episode
How is the fuel consumption with the LS engine?
Henry Rodner yep.. plenty of consumption..
Any chance of any 60 series any time soon? Love to see one!
Just letting you know mate, the times to skip to in the description are welll out
Under the hood is at 9.35 not 16 or whatever :)
What if you do a episode about Merc 300 pro or 350 pro...? Sweet truck btw
wow ..nice car man
Nice
the videos goes to 22:43 not 34:40
Yah it das
Its a pity that most of our 80's in the UK are rusted.
Clean your lens with rubbing alcohol to get that haze looking picture off...
Beautiful car. Too heavy on petrol for a daily car.
LS motors bolt into pretty much anything
Jersey Vegas anything bolts into anything. Just requires work
hamish brown true, but when it comes to motors and vehicles, there are social sins that can be done but the LS motors are the exception
Really Nice Cruiser, i hope that my own will look as clean as this one one day 👍🏼
What are those showel mounts?
- Cheers from Denmark!
Is this Carlo Tassone?
So part time 4wdrive conversion also - or did I miss that?
what rim is that?
Wot..Hood?
Nice 80! If the owner is reading this how do you find the dobbos kit on road?? I have been looking to upgrade my 80s suspension to the dobbos 3’ kit thanks! Another great video Ronnie.
koffeeblack
You mean dobbinsons suspensions?
Agent. K. Yep sorry Dobinsons

Can you please do a np300 d23 navara
80$ are king.

Beast!
Gennemført go stil!
haha gining around 12:43
You should showcase a rc holden Colorado
I hope he won't use the bullbar for recovery lol
Ronny asked about the “best part [of the vehicle]” (around minute 19) and you answered, “it is a Toyota.” I beg to differ!! You changed the engine to an LS1. It is no longer a Toyota 😋😬
Give me a v8 td any day!
get Alex garner from intents off-road on the show.
Name one better (non hyper) car better than 80
Mate can you sell it please
Very nice 80 - they are the best landcruiser by far. Reading through the comments I'm not the only one thinking it either. I still miss my 80. www.offroad80s.com
