    I think the Beast is actually a Phoenix! It and the ZachLift are the rebirth of your business, literally out of the ashes. We will miss the other vehicles, but we know not to get attached to anything on your channel except your family. How cool are your grandparents still trucking after 65 years in as an owner operators!

    Thank-you Casey for your back story! Leave it to the purchase of the BEAST and your return trip to Northern California to help us YT channel followers to hear and see your roots. It was GREAT to meet your Grandfather and see where your love of trucks, travel and adventure comes from. Love your honesty, sincerity and positive outlook on life and raising your family in Oregon. You are rare YT gem and GREAT salesman for Western Star and Zacklift.

    Now, this is what I come here for, interesting stories, the "what will Casey do today?" stuff (IE, the shenanigans that sometimes look sketchy but not really) helping folks out, doing good deeds (they never go undone, not unappreciated, good on ya there), seeing the beautiful areas you drive in (as you call your "office") and the early sunrises, late sunsets, the occasional mishaps (like when the antique Dodge creates an inspection hole in Eastern Washington, heading to Canada for a good deed) and now, seeing the shorts where you crash your cab over truck, the story of the truck fire, and now the connecting of the dots and why things come and go, stuff like that in celebration to getting back to where you began.
    This is exactly as should be, you doing what you love, entertaining us all in the process. I DO love your work helping keep the Oregon forests clean and open for us all to share and enjoy.
    As the old song (and saying goes) KEEP ON TRUCKIN' MY FRIEND.

Greatest recovery. Nice to have that support from her.

    Thank you for explaining what you are going to do. It is one thing if you are "collecting" trucks and the other if you are "using" the trucks to make a living! From what you are saying; you had to start all over again by doing small towing and gradually working your way up again. Also; the white and green truck had a buyer at one time but the engine crapped out and the deal got cancelled!

    And that story is why all my trucks have had a 2kg CO2 extinguisher in the cab and a 9kg dry powder one on the back somewhere. Even my 4x4s have a 4.5kg DP on board. Oh, and CO2 ones act as an engine strangler if you get a runaway.
    And yes, Casey, before you say it I am fully aware that some fires just won't go out without a foam rig on a fire truck.

    • @CaseyLaDelle
      @CaseyLaDelle  11 хвилин тому +1

      I had a fire extinguisher and it didn’t even make a dent in the flames. After watching how fast and hot that truck burned, I don’t think I’d ever waste the time or danger to try to put out another vehicle fire. Simply make sure everyone is safe and walk away.

It's a good lesson to learn that out of failure comes success and you work hard for your success and passing the spot where the fire happened in your NEW heavy haul truck is coming full circle for sure. Love the channel and enjoy your recovery episodes for sure.

I am sure that 5 years seems like a long time to you, but I find it pretty amazing that you have been able to recover in such a short time. It goes to show that sometimes in life you have to do things that you are not crazy about to reach your long-term goals. There are a lot of people who could benefit by following your example. You should do a video specifically for going over the history of Cascade heavy rescue and the business side of the company.

    I have spent some time in Ukiah way back in the 80’s, I have a friend from my navy days that lives there and since I was stationed in Vallejo it wasn’t that far to go for a weekend away.
