In the movie the song was sung by Kasey Cisyk, whose voice doubled for lead-actress Didi Conn for the scene, in which Conn's character was supposed to sing the song. But the recording here is the one of the official soundtrack album, which was sung by Debby Boone, daughter of singer Richard Boone. The song was one of the biggest hits in the 70s and composer Brooks recieved an oscar, golden globe and grammy for it. It was ten weeks at the top of the US-charts in 1977.
