This is the first time that i saw any of your video. Saw it in bits and pcs. But watched the first and last last 10 min in full. Being a scorpio n owner my self (petrol auto z8) and upgrading from Corolla altis top trim auto (owned for 16 yrs), Scorpio n was the only car that impressed me that fell within my budget of 30 lacs. I test drove slavia+kushaq both 1.5, hyryder strong hybrid, hycross, Nexon ev, thar, XUV 700, hector. While all of these are wonderful cars but none felt different and special. Scorpio n being ladder on frame and rear wheel drive was different, but with smooth TQ+good engine refinement and linear power delivery was surprisingly smooth yet powerful. With controller body roll and good noise level controls, it clicked my mind instantly on my test drive, even though i drove petrol manual then. In terms of features, with absence of adas, front cam, ventilated seats, auto dimming irvm, below avg sound system (even Sony in top trim is also not be good), it's a plain vanilla product but with its pricing, it becomes a king of value buying. So much so that i was ready to expect few glitches and jiggle niggles in my puchase. I was like even if it keeps me 80% satisfied, i will be a winner. And honestly, driving this car is so easy that even in traffics and congestion, even my wife is pretty confident. Driving it certainly leaves me with a smiling heart. Even my 8 yr old loves this car even though he was 7 then and was my first purchase after his birth. Innova hycross non hybrid was my first choice as my altis gave me enough peace of mind to stay loyal with Toyota. But even the hybrid (which i test drove) did not feel special and solid. Hyryder with maruti 's bulit had only Toyota's hybrid power train. I liked it but wanted a 7 seater for my family so over looked it. So for me it was either Toyota or Tata Mahindra or European. Kushaq and slavia felt too compact after my altis. Didnt feel that i am upgrading after driving them. Thar would have been my choice if i would have been a bachelor. But not with super senior parents and 2 kids now. XUV 700 is again wonderful but didn't feel special. And tata not having safari in petrol left only Scorpio n as a perfect choice. Ev 's a great to drive but i guess i wanted a big car with 7 seats so over looked Nexon ev also then. Planning to add Windsor ev to my garage soon and i know that even though my brain will say yes to windsor for most of my driving, heart will always stay with Scorpio n.

Awesome knowledgeccino channel. Very well explained at every point. Keep the technical explanation on and that is what make this channel special ❤.. Respect from Kerala ❤
Awesome vlog as always. Appreciate your technical expertise n hunger to go down the depth n details. One point I felt missing and bad if I compare to its true 7 seater 4wd rival is it's ground clearance. I really feel the floor height behind the front tyres as it's weakest point when its in full load and going over Indian size speed breakers. We got only two 7 seater 4wd cars under 30 lac, and would appreciate if you can give comparison between those two too. Yes price difference too is huge between them.
@@navehal1019 hmm interesting. I don’t cover ground clearance because it has become a paper tiger bragging right number. ARAI definition is the ‘ height of lowest point in the middle 80 percent of car between tires’ So for some this would be rear axle diff , which will rise and fall with the tire. Others might be some other point. Direct comparison of numbers against practical considerations has not been done. True. I’ll remember that.
@tripaccino Thanks, why I was keen on was most of the family owners would always drive 7 seater with full load. And seeing XUV series bottom touching on big speed breakers in rear cases though, it's still something of a thought. But this was good Review, thanks for sharing. I am really question over how better ScirpioN is better than Gurkha in terms of all 6 pox on board with their load. Coming from rock solid FIAT stables where they have lasted more than Decade or two, being minimistic is not an issue, whereas boon. Electric power steering is strictly no, as not sure on which line of code than steering can go wrong!
I own a Scorpio N Z8L since the last 1 year and i think these following changes should be implemented by Mahindra in the next gen Scorpio N. 1) Panoromic Sunroof (makes the cabin feel more spacious) 2) Longer wheelbase (at least 90mm) for more spacious third row seat and better boot space 3) Third Row AC vent 4) 360° Camera 5) Ambient Lights 6) More Power and 7 speed gearbox 7) Steering Wheel Telescopic adjustment 8) Electric Tailgate 9) Gas struts assisted opening/closing Bonnet 10) Rear Sun Blinds 11) Drive Modes in 4x4 12) Better Approach, Departure and breakover Angle 13) 3rd row seats Folding Flat instead of tumbling 14) Higher positioning of DPF tank as its in a very vulnerable position when off-roading 15) Headliner colour matching seat upholstery (Totally a personal preference but i feel it makes the cabin more luxurious) 16) Air Purifier 17) Better Headlights 18) Bigger Fuel Tank (at least 70L) 19) Better water wading capacity at least 700mm 20) Puddle Lamps on Door 21) Electric Parking Brake with Auto hold 22) Better Tuned Suspension (Thar Roxx suspension is tuned better and has lesser body roll) 23) Blind Spot monitoring 24) Passenger door request sensor 25) Approach Unlock and Walk-away Lock Keyless 26) Smaller Key Fob Many of the above features have been implemented in other Mahindra cars and such features would truly make it a better product.
Excellent and crisp video with technical details explained in the most simplest manner. Can you similarly make a video explaining difference for various transmission type (awd/fwd/4wd)
The day I saw the launch of ScorpioN the one phrase I uttered was... It is Alturus with Mahindra Badge for Indian market. I loved it from that day and Got the car in the very first lot of 25,000 cars that were delivered. After 40,000 KMs and 2+ years in all kind of terrains, I was never wrong with my Car selection. After Landcruiser 5.6 V8 (Overseas), this is my favourite Indian car to drive. Now, I am eyeing the all new XEV 9E to get my hands on with an EV.
Your vidio us the sole reason for me to book the scorpio N. And boy am i so excited to make memories worth for life time in it 🤘 Thank you so much for your video ❤
The Drive Line shunt you mentioned is also experienced by me in my Top end, 4WD... The solution to it for me is to accelerate gradually after a quick brake and I am fine with it. While My son complains about it all the time coz of his driving style.
Never thought I would sit 1 hour straight in the night to watch youtube video. Great explantion and greater details. Wish to see you and your channel multifolding the success in future. Subbed already. Great Job Sir 🫡
I've got a 4xplor AT Diesel in my garage, and recently after flashing the ECU, I've been noticing some serious quirks with the gear ratios. The driving experience has become a bit of a headache, both in the city and on the highway. It feels like the transmission is all over the place, and I’m really missing that smooth, responsive shift action. Would love to get some expert insight on the gear ratios, particularly how they should behave in city vs highway driving. A breakdown of the city driving shift points and how the vehicle should be holding gears on the highway would be super helpful. Really appreciate any guidance you can provide! Thanks in advance!
See all three videos on the channel and decide which type of buyer you are. I have mentioned the target buyers who should buy in last 10mins of the last three videos in my channels
@vineethv7896 indeed a powerful car. But Sir, what bothers me is mahindra's occasionally suspected Steering failure which seems to be a cause for concern especially in a family Ride situation. Is it just myth or are there some actual risk?
Great video, I have never seen such in depth detailed analysis, must be really time and effort intensive, hats off for such effort man. This channel is extremely underrated
I just discovered your channel while I was looking for an extensive review on SN and I'm pleasantly surprised to find your review. You have convinced me to get a SN. Do you think I should wait for the rumored makeover which has ADAS and other features or pick this up now?
Amazing Video as always. Do you only review and analyze Body on Frame vehicles? I was very curious to know your views and an indepth analysis of the hybrid icons. May be a Comparative value based analysis between the super hyped Hycross and it's poorly perceived cousin the Invicto in their top model guises. Congratulations once again and eagerly awaiting your review on my aforementioned request. Happy Motoring....
Yea. I have a psssion for 4wd ladder frames. But I can consider the hycRoss as well. The thing is I want to see if the channel is getting traction to worth the efforts . Please share the channel with friends
@tripaccino I have already done Sir and will be sending it in future to like minded friends. However, looking at the traction that hybrids are getting and the way people are skeptical to diesels and EVs I know a lot of people who are looking at the Hycross. The long waiting periods of Hycross are making people look at the Invicto too but for the absence of Toyota name it is not getting the kind of attention that Hycross gets. If a credible voice like yours clears the air between them it'll make a world of difference. That's the rationale of my request..
@@abhijeetnil Sure, ill take this on. I need to spend time with both cars, pull somethings apart and then see what's the truth under the hood. that's why my timelines are looooong. But ill do this definitely.
Sir I am in love with this vehicle, as a student of engineering myself this vehicle is an excellent example of optimisation in every aspect(engine, frame, suspension). Only thing that bothers me is that the nut holding the steering knuckle to the upper control arm is not held by cotter pins, and all instances of front wheel dislodging are attributed to that. I would love to know what are your views on this topic. And if there is any remedy for that for and an extra/over-cautious buyer like me. EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY
@@MandeepSingh-nm2qj the company should have fixed it on newer models if it’s a design issue But if it’s bothering so much you can swap out the entire UCA assembly.
This is a great review. Excellent technicality. We miss review like this with in depth details and scientific aspects these days. Everyone put reviews on their pov and their abilities, not how the car will be, except a few. From my understanding for a person who like overlanding, daily drives, long trips with family, Gurkhs is the best choice under 25L. I have seen overland builds and this Gurkha can be customized in many ways, and with the low electricals and low maintenance. Correct me if I am wrong. One question pop to my mind is Force have came up with something to make the car more power without changing the engine. How did they do that? Can it be made more powerful and capable safely? I don't see any tuning reviews or videos of Gurkha, its super rare.
@@anandaraj-v swapped the turbo. Engine could alsways do this power.gearbox g28 couldn’t absorb the torque. Now they have put g32 from extreme Gurkha so it can absorb this power, it’s still underpowered for its weight compared to competition,
Sir, a big salute to your knowledge and your presentations skills with which you came up with such deep delving review. I have some short and quick questions, pls if you find time try to answer. 1. If we compare ride and handling of Roxx and N, which would you call better. 2. Mahindra has one more engine lying idle with them(unveiled in autoexpo 2020) 1.5 TDGi petrol with power figures of 163 Bhp and 280 Nm of torque. If that engine is used in Roxx and N, will it be able to pull the vehicle, if yes will it be able to come up with good fuel efficiency in comparison with 2.0 mStallion.
Thanks for all the effort into teaching us new automotive engineering lessons. I knew since the beginning of your Gurkha videos I was going to learn new things from your channel. Cheers.

Thanks for your time and excellent review as usual ,but the "4wd not engaging" spoiled everything 😂. Either I'll go with Toyota Fortuner or Simple and mechanical Force Gurkha !
yes, the more the electronics, the more glitches. Inclusion of features is easy to make the brochure long, but Its very expensive to get electronics reliable and right.
@tripaccino what about Safari .... it has better suspension and features ..... my concern with it is searing position and Engine, what's your views on it ?
@tripaccino yes but how is Fiat 2.0 compared to Mhwak 2.2 in XUV700 and scorpio N, does Safari feel under powered ? Specially in AT. Mahindra raised Torque to 430NM in AT version from 380 NM in manual. Also is seating position lower in Safari compared to XUV700??
@@KshitijSir Okay, the point of owning the engine means Maindra can tune the hawk whenever wherever however. And hence different tunes for different applications. Tata doesn't have its engine and relies on FIAT for safari harrier, so any retune they have to pay FIAT lots of money . But Maruti has also bought FIAT engines and tuned it great. Depends on the manufacturer and how he calibrates the FIAT . One on one, the FIAT in Tata Safari is no match for the mHawk. That's my personal opinion.
Truly amazing and informative content for all auto enthusiasts. I have one request that Please make video on toyota fortuner and it's reliability. TIA.

I generally take cars on lease or rentals for long term on own payment for reviews, unlike general trend of popular UA-camrs, who review after one test drive.
@ laden ground clearance gurkha wil be better because of ground clearance and stiffer suspension
I own a Scorpio N Z8L since the last 1 year and i think these following changes should be implemented by Mahindra in the next gen Scorpio N.
1) Panoromic Sunroof (makes the cabin feel more spacious)
2) Longer wheelbase (at least 90mm) for more spacious third row seat and better boot space
3) Third Row AC vent
4) 360° Camera
5) Ambient Lights
6) More Power and 7 speed gearbox
7) Steering Wheel Telescopic adjustment
8) Electric Tailgate
9) Gas struts assisted opening/closing Bonnet
10) Rear Sun Blinds
11) Drive Modes in 4x4
12) Better Approach, Departure and breakover Angle
13) 3rd row seats Folding Flat instead of tumbling
14) Higher positioning of DPF tank as its in a very vulnerable position when off-roading
15) Headliner colour matching seat upholstery (Totally a personal preference but i feel it makes the cabin more luxurious)
16) Air Purifier
17) Better Headlights
18) Bigger Fuel Tank (at least 70L)
19) Better water wading capacity at least 700mm
20) Puddle Lamps on Door
21) Electric Parking Brake with Auto hold
22) Better Tuned Suspension (Thar Roxx suspension is tuned better and has lesser body roll)
23) Blind Spot monitoring
24) Passenger door request sensor
25) Approach Unlock and Walk-away Lock Keyless
26) Smaller Key Fob
Many of the above features have been implemented in other Mahindra cars and such features would truly make it a better product.
Wow 🤩 nice exhaustive list

The day I saw the launch of ScorpioN the one phrase I uttered was... It is Alturus with Mahindra Badge for Indian market. I loved it from that day and Got the car in the very first lot of 25,000 cars that were delivered. After 40,000 KMs and 2+ years in all kind of terrains, I was never wrong with my Car selection. After Landcruiser 5.6 V8 (Overseas), this is my favourite Indian car to drive. Now, I am eyeing the all new XEV 9E to get my hands on with an EV.

@vineethv7896 indeed a powerful car. But Sir, what bothers me is mahindra's occasionally suspected Steering failure which seems to be a cause for concern especially in a family Ride situation. Is it just myth or are there some actual risk?

Good questions. Let's do a separate video on these. N is better ride full load. Roxx is better unladen

Excellent analysis. Plz tell Which one to buy from XUV700, Scorpio N and Safari AT ?
WhTs the use case ?
Highway max use - 7OO
Roughroad and touring - Scorpio B
@tripaccino what about Safari .... it has better suspension and features ..... my concern with it is searing position and Engine, what's your views on it ?
@ engine is Fiat 2l same used by every other 2.0l suv out there.
