Although I haven't driven the Chery, bought the XUV700 last year. The lane keep assist is pretty well calibrated and never turned it off. The Chery requires 95 RON or higher vs Mahindra's 91.
People commenting here should drive both and see themselves. Mahindra even though has less feature is way better to drive than cherry. Cherry has very bad body control on victorian urban highways. And that lane assist is really scary one.

Things like keeping air conditioning controls as buttons and dials in my opinion is not old and dated as some my see it , it is the safest place to have them, integrating them into a screen its like putting square wheels on a car it just doesn't work.
Definitely go for Mahindra. Performs well in virtually every department. Plus, it is from India which means that your data will be safe unlike with Chinese products !!!

Its the Mahindra for me before I press that Start button for reliability. Thrills and frills vs Solid proven bare bones engineering under the hood. But customer is king.

Have you driven both Mahindra and cherry ? I have driven both myself and what he says is completely true . Cherry has very good features but ride stability is very bad on Victoria urban highways. Mahindra is way more stable and comfortable to drive. Anyway I finally bought kodiaq but my second choice was Mahindra

I haven’t heard reviews these days ever talk about how thick is the metal of cars to me that’s as important as other things ( the thicker the less chance of bending or lates long for rust to turn up )

Specifically the NVH and noise suppression is rated as excellent even at highway speed (consistent with other views). Serious integrity issue flashing red 🚨 IMO. CarExpert Paul Maric reviewed the Mahindra last year and recorded a woeful 11 Litres per 100 km for fuel economy. This promo video says 8 Litres. 😂
As an Australian customer, I have driven both cherry and Mahindra. Cherry is very poor in ride and handling even though it has more features. Mahindra has less features but price + ride and handling is 10 times better than cherry

Mahindra is also biggest tractor company and they make trucks and cars as well and other farming equipment. It is well known and reputated company in india even in the world. Agress it is well eatablised in australian market yet.

Engines are in house developed and manufactured, Aisin auto transmission, they use Visteon for infotainment and instrument cluster and Koni fsd dampers. Sure some of them are manufactured in China but not all key components.
Just pay. Ask others to say whatever you want them to say. Do not trust these guys. Just go and take test drive and decide yourself which one is good for you. But i must include mahindra give preference to quality than quantity. Rest you decide. 😊😊
