man when walter payton died i was emotional that day i watch the whole game walter looked down on them bears and say this over my dead body we're not losing this game so he got inside of one of the players and blocked the field goal kick and won 14-13 thanks walter payton r.i.p.
Thanks for the upload. I vividly remember this game... The big guy floating 3 ft off the ground... Everyone giving maximum effort and the emotions that day. Not a Bears fan but 💛💯💛 #34, the undisputed greatest, sweetest & most lion-hearted to ever step on the gridiron, and one of the best men the league has ever had. RIP Mr. Payton 💛🐐💛 Win, loose or tie: Chiefs till I die
Well Brad, George may have cleaned house but he failed to take out the trash. Regardless of how they plan to restructure the organization, by having Ted Phillips present at that press conference tells me and most Bear fans that nothing is really going to change. I give up!
Sure love Virginia McCaskey. Wonderful person. Just sorry that her family doesn't understand what it takes to run an NFL Franchise, Their love for their family pet, Ted Phillips, has stood in the way of progress for years! Teddy should be the first casualty in the dismantling of this embarassing organization! They don't deserve the fans loyalry anymore...
Actually Ted is just the chief administrator. Michael McCaskey was never really "fired" by Virginia following the Dave McGinnis fiasco. Michael still called the shots as Chairman of the Board. Ted just became the "front" man, diverting the media's attention away from Michael. I was the first to reveal this information on a blog I wrote for Chicagonow.com (a Chicago Tribune Website) following my retirement in 2006. The Chicago media eventually picked up on it. I presume George, the former ticket manager, is calling the shots now.
Brad Palmer and the family titles him a CEO. That's all part of the dysfunction. Bottom line, Ted may be a great guy, but, he's no doubt still around with this bogus title because he's a family pet. Only this organization is capable of such ineptness.
***** Ted saved the bacon when he negotiated the deal for the renovation of Soldier Field. Mayor Daley refused to have anything to do with Michael McCaskey. Ted made it happen.
Honestly Brad, I don't understand how Phillips get's a free pass on things. So he made the stadium thing happen, great..... what's he done since? He's the CEO ! He shouldn't be immune to accountability. Any other CEO of an NFL team (a real one) would've been chopped.

Thank You! I can't recall Virginia McCaskey subjecting herself to any other interview, but she obviously got caught up in the moment.
Thanks for the great memory. Was watching it on tv, and couldnt believe they got the block for the W.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!!
The best thing ever Walter Payton will be remembered as sweetness

Brad Palmer I get that. He's not an NFL CEO ! He has that position because the McCaskey's love him. Thst's not good business sense.
