  • If you own a twin cam modified or not, you will understand when I say they are GREAT engines but are noisy. One can claim it's the rockers, some claim it's the pushrods, or the cam. I believe it's all of those things, but I also believe there is a oil out there that can not only quiet it down, but go the distance. Are you going to completely stop the sewing machine sound? Absolutely not but you can make it not so pronounced. Today's video I go through a oil NOT to use, and a couple that I recommend. We think oil is oil right? If you will go back several videos ago you will see I drained the oil in my street glide. The oil i took out had 3,500 miles on it, and was just as clean as the day i put it in. One could argue that it's not cleaning the way it should. I disagree, I believe it was doing its job. It hadn't broken down from heat cycles that harley is known for. The oil that I replaced it with, which you will see in this video, had 800 miles on it. It was black nasty and looks like 8000 miles. Difference? I believe the heat is the difference. Immediately when the oil broke down you could hear the ticking of the twin cam not only come back, but sound like 15,000 sewing machines. Came back with a vengeance! So today we drain that oil out, I show you the oils that I recommend, also change to a different oil and filter. If you wanna know more, watch the video. Enjoy fam! ✌

I've got an oil change kit from Klotz I'll be using next oil change. Used it back in the day. Great oil then and should be now

I have a 1340 single cam evo. I don't want to use synthetic. Do you have any suggestions for primary and gearbox? I already use Castrol for motor oil

My buddy, who owns his own garage, does custom builds, and works on Harley's said Shaeffer's. I haven't tried it yet, as I have only had my Harley for about a year. But I will be trying it. Schaeffer Extreme V-Twin Synthetic Plus 20W-50 Racing Oil. I think they also make oils for the other 2 holes as well

I have always had good luck with Mobil 1 Synthetic 15w-50... always. Ran it on my FLHR for 166K miles (then I crashed) and use it on my FXDF. My filter is Motorcraft 910S.

I strongly urge you to give bel-ray oils a try been using for quite awhile now with absolutely no complaints

  • @110americalovingpatriot2

I tried Amsoil in my 12 Street Glide and around 2500 miles it was a quart and a half low.

Valvoline VR1 is what Feuling recommends in the M8. I'll go with what they say.

    WIX oil filter??? 😂😂😂😂

  • @adambenton6309

I run wix filters on my Harley’s. I buy them from rock auto 10 at a time for less than $10 each. Great filters!!
