As always, Doc great info. Would love to talk to the engineer that made putting or checking air in the rear wheel a challenge.

Thanks, Dr. I think now i know why after a tire change, my wheel never is in the middle of the fairing since. I bet they did one side 😢 cheep and charged full price, but it won't aline. I've asked about bushings and was told they put it all back together like it come apart and nothing was left out!

Run a Straight edge off your front sprocket and check if your chain is tracking square. If not you might wanna re asses your spacer alignment

Thanks, you saved me some grief and money. I was going to do a wheel swap
On my 2013 road king and now I will do a lot more research.

My 2009 had ABS! And the Chrome Spoked Factory Wheels from 2009 ABS fit my 2021 Road Glide (With ABS). 🏍💨🏍💨

    Thanks for making this video!
Theres always tons of stock wheels for sale on line.
    This is really helpful.
In my opinion harley-davidson makes the absolute best shop manuals!
As a motorcycle nerd I'm impressed with the intricate detail of even the smallest components.
    Even specialty tool part #'s.

    Yes doc
Had the same deal with FXDX wheels for my DX . Asked all the questions got all the answers. But the nice bloke sent me 09 sportster wheels. Yeh. Wasn’t that a headache. Bearing hole not deep enough. So I had to make up all new spacers for the 3/4 axle… as the wheel was 25mm not 1” .. but there on.
Now I like some 05 softy wheels for my 08 street glide ….But I know the drill. It’ll all start again so the wheels have to be cheap to compensate all the machining

@ yeh but it was fun doing it BUT I would have liked to know it was a problem before I went to put the 3/4 bearings in that was 4mm wider lol.

Great info on ABS wheels. Here's a question. I put stock harley flat out bars (engine guard) on my 21 street glide. I really like the looks but I wish they were a bit wider from end to end. I think the stock ones are about 31 inches with the end caps on. I would like to add about another four inches on each side so my legs can spread out a bit. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks Doc.

Good information now I have a 2022 tri glide do they have ABS sensors on the rear or just on the front thank you

My 2013 Slim doesn’t have ABS. Apparently Harley Davidson used up old stuff first. It’s an easy thing to check, no sensors on the wheels.
