I’m 58 years old and have ridden all kinds of bikes, dirt and street. Settled on a 2016 Switchback and love it. I plan to keep it untill I can no longer ride. Handles very well being a Dyna and can be loaded up for a weekend in the mountains. Friends take it out for rides when we’re all together. Just a fun bike to ride!!
The switchback was one of the better bikes HD produced, I owned 1 for several years with no issues & rode many kilometres on it, this story is pure bullshit.
What facts are you referring to , dont say half of nothing , say the facts you are talking about , it will add weight to your opinion matey.@live2ride9696
I have ridden my switchback 216 thousand miles, never had any issues, smooth as silk, fast, light, comfortable, great looks. Only regular maintenance, oil , gas , tires , 2 batteries. Looking forward to to seeing the odometer hit 500 thousand miles ! See ya on the road.
This information is largely untrue. My 56 years of personal Harley experience contains over a million miles riding them, and they undeniably have been marvelously reliable. The few times that I experienced issues would be my own responsibilty due to lazy maintainance. They treat you well if you treat them well. Just like anything else, even Chinese bikes.
Sorry, you're wrong about the FLD. It's fast and powerful, rides two up all day, and agile at any speed. I still have mine, and it slips through tight spaces like a scooter and then tears up the highway with gear for two for days of travel. Not only do I hardly ever need two feet at a stop, much of the time I don't need any feet.
I’ve got a 2004 Sportster and have none of the issues you are talking about. I don’t think you know what you’re talking about. I’ve had three Sportsters and they are great bikes. Easy to work on and have a huge aftermarket support.
Some of the stuff he criticizes for one particular year obviously exist on all years of that model. Sportsters, for example, were the same basic bike for a long time. And people loved them.
Some of your choices I agree with and a few, you should have annotated how HD fixed the issues, or also how the bike was designed. The Rushmore HO103 Ultra-non twin cooling, Limited-radiator and twin cooling. Even with recalls, once fixed they were some of the best long haul bikes to have, and the clutch was retained into the M8s for 4 years. I put 30k miles on a 2014 Limited with zero issues, and another 40k on a 2016 Ultra. Street 500s are a cable clutch, and they were not designed for speed, but maneuvering, city travel or training courses. Both it does well, IF you dont have all the electrical gremlins.
Every bike has its problem, Harleys are just an easy target. Honda, BMW, Triumph to name a few has recalled bikes for all types of reasons. I have owned several different brands and only recently purchased a 2016 FLHXS. So far, it's been a great ride.
I had 06 sportster and a 2019 had no leaks or jumping out of gear, only problem was finding neutral take atleast 5 tries on both almost always. My 23 streetbob find neutral almost always first time
THIS IS WHY I KEEP MY 2005 ELECTRA GLIDE AND ROADKING , I KNOW THEY ALL HAVE ISSUES IN EVERY BRAND , BUT LESS TECHNOLOGY IS STILL BETTER, IN MY OPINION, AND I CAN STILL ,SERVICE WITH OUT A COMPUTOR , TOO EACH HIS OWN, TAKE CARE EVERYONE, I WISH YOU ALL WELL! BE SAFE, AND ENJOY YOUR RIDE, ON WHATEVER YOU HAVE, IT'S ABOUT THE RIDE!!!!
Boy, this video is a ride! On the topic of rides, cold emailing took a smooth turn for me with Filter Bounce! Used it alongside another tool, and maintaining under 1% bounce rate? That is gold. Plus, the real-time verification ensures nothing slips through the cracks, especially those tricky Outlook emails. It is a staple in my toolkit now. Give it a shot to see if it fits your needs!
The drama around this Harley makes me think about how we make choices. Speaking of which, Mystrika has been my best decision for cold emailing. I mean, who would have thought that a unified inbox would simplify my life so much? Plus, the provider matching feature ensures my emails hit the right inboxes. It is really changed the game for me, especially with its AI personalization. You should give it a whirl if you are looking to level up your emailing game.
Hi from Bundaberg Australia 😊👍 Im just glad You didnt mention the Low Rider ST or The 2024 Street Glide bikes as they are two of my favourites 🏍 😄 Cheers from down under in Aus matey 🇦🇺🍹🕺
i agree with all your issues. the Switchback was a POS from the start. People that like them have probably never ridden anything but Harleys. BTW, i was a test rider and mechanic for H-D at Arizona Proving Grounds when these bikes were being developed.
Thank goodness I did not buy that 2012 Switchback last month. It only happened that way for me because the seller was nasty. I guess I just need to look at some bags for mine.
Funny how from every major change the base models are all basically the same yet this mob pick just one year to have a shot at specially for ergonomics when most people swap out seats and bars.
I gotta say, this Harley thing is like watching a soap opera, right? Well, speaking of dramas, cold emailing used to be mine till I stumbled upon Mystrika. The detailed analytics it offers are bonkers. A/B testing with 26 variations? That is a godsend. My open rates are soaring higher than ever, thanks to those preheaders. And the fact that it is a pay-once-use-forever deal just sealed the deal for me. You might want to look into it if you are getting serious about cold email campaigns.
My. Switchback is like a half brok horse fun and corners is you make it work I have took some at 110 some tuck and dive but I love it has a problem with ⚰ out starters don't know why but when the vss sensor goes down the bike will dp130 hang on
harley bikes are know to run to hot and lean, instead of getting the obnoxiously loud exhaust people need to get a tune and an oil cooler before taking them on the road
This is why I write a BMW I don't have to work on it I just turn it on and it goes I have a 99 r1100rt with almost $100,000 mi on it running on the original engine build factory clutch also
When you pack all that trash onto a motorcycle, you gonna have a hassle-big time. If you must have it all-BUY a car. I'm over 70 & ride bare bones bikes. That's what motorcycling is. Not fairings, windshields and all that luggage crap. Love the Fat Bob. Not a fan of the exhaust though. That bike carves up the twisties nice and has power for the super slabs. I've rode the 2004 Sportster 1200R & love them-had no problems with them except almost running out of gas. I love the 48s too. Never ever had any oil leaks with any Harley I've had-even my shovelhead. Sorry to say that this guy's full of it & not in a good way.
My comment was in reference to an ad that preceeded this video. Guy lying on his back, Bozo"s Bigtop under the sheet with a stupid description by ai female. Garbage ads...
A lot of dealers closing here in the U.K. Yep Death weave is correct, friend had one and was ALWAYS complaining about the wobble, i had the glide that overheated (only issue thank god) shame about the slim, looks good, but i cant afford one now & wouldnt buy one due to the chinese element to HD now!
@ Here in the U.K. most of the official HD spares & upgrades were/are made in China, also paint was outsourced to China as well, when I went to collect one of my bikes (Road Glide) from a dealer & I was looking at some Screamin’ Eagle Electra glides which were on offer, 3 of them, when I asked why as they were brand new in & that years model the dealer pointed out the paint on the top boxes and panniers which had ‘orange peeled’ and looked quite bad once you noticed it, he told me that HD outsourced paint to China. Was the death knell for me and HD after that, wasn’t what I thought I’d spent all those thousands of hard earned pounds buying into after 4 previous Harley’s.

I bought a 2012 switch back, drove it for about 10 years and put 64,000 miles on it and never had any problems
Am thinking a lot of this is simply a bunch of bs.
Ignore this list. They can't even get their facts straight. 😂
Not a Switch Back in pictures
Agreed!

P.S. If Harleys are so bad, then why are the Japanese buying up every older Harley they can get?
The Chinese are not buying Harleys because the copies are more reliable.
How many 10 year old Chinese Harley clones are still running?
Meanwhile, I can show you 110 year old Harleys still working.
If California is so bad why do so many people live there🙏
Japanese are buying them because you can't pick the bones out of ice cream 🍦😊🕺
@@Truth...show me that bike matey.

2004 here as well, ive ran the hell out of it. zero problems.
EVO. Carb. For life. Last of the real ones.

They're all cruisers are not made for going around corners fast the footboards drag the ground when you try and corner
This has to be the dumbest video I have ever watched
I have to disagree with you on the switch back that's the only air-cooled Harley I would want to ride around on

Only reason i watched because I’m a fan of the switchback ………
Gotta Switchback.... awesome bike
So, they're all Harleys. Got it
Most of these videos are crap, but you can't prove amy of this by me.
My two Harleys are 25 and 50yrs old.
For a reason why the US sanction Chinese copies of Harley-Davidson, because they are better quality than the original.
Click bait video
You people are sick. I hate these porn ads...
