Have you ever experienced your own Scripture memory drought? Any tips you can share? Thanks to Dakota and Hannah - check our my latest interview on their podcast here: ua-cam.com/video/80FUPpMCne4/v-deo.html
I reckon the biggest tip would be to have that why. I started memorising scripture awhile ago but then stopped. Was reminded that the word is alive and active and that got me going again. The why.
My ‘Why’ keeps me motivated. I am going blind. I love God’s word so much that I am determined to memorize as much as I can before I lose the ability to read it.
Don't even if you are blind they have braille pad bibles and maybe think about how much bible you it will shock how much scripture you have in your mind.
Now you can talk with your phone AI and have it read to you. On Android, I say, "Hey Google, read John 3:16 to me in the LSB version." ChatGPT also has an app (though the free version limits to a few questions) that you can have memorize some details. For example, I told it to use a female voice when translating my wife's Chinese to English and a male voice when translating my English to Chinese. Now without saying anymore, my wife and I can go back and forth and it knows what to do.
❤ i am from Indonesia and i memorized many scriptures trough songs but i stopped maybe around 4 years now. Watching this video it’s like a reminder for me to do it again and motivated me. Thanks
I had a dry spout for a year and a half but when I went back to doing it surprisingly those verses only took a few minutes to get fresh and recite they were waiting for me patiently to come back and commune with them it happens dry spouts happen. Me actively I have been memorizing for 13 years or more.
This was very encouraging. This has been a difficult season for me. I call myself immersing myself in the word. But sometimes I just feel plain burnt out as a caregiver.
Just like when working out, it’s good to have a planned break or deload week. If you’ve planned when to take a break, next you plan how to get back in. I think planning your memory scripture rest times will help there not be so many unplanned times and help make the planned times more restful (since you’ve given yourself permission to do them). Great video!
Great stuff! Yeah. I think many of us find ourselves in a season, sooner or later, where we are "stale" and getting back into memorization after so long feels like overcoming an Everest of catch-up. These are helpful tips and I appreciate the insight!
Love this. Interestingly enough, my pastors' name is Jim Woychuck. If I'm remembering correctly it seems like Jim's Pop was involved in starting scripture memory organization. Praise God
Wow ya'll are hard core memorizing books. My goal was certain chaper of psalms that have maybe 12-14 verses. I did well in January but petered off but have been reading more as a whole.

Oh no! Keep going strong and know that even when you go blind, like my friend Jennifer Rothschild, it’s still possible to continue memorizing.

I'm so thankful that Bible apps can read, and now suno allows me to make verse songs. So encouraged.

You can use audio bibles to memorize too! It also is helpful when driving to put what you're memorize on repeated.

Yea, we all have our ups and downs :)
Is there an interview with Hannah talking about her memorization journey?
Not that I know of. Why do you ask?
@@BibleMemoryGoal you should make one.
Maybe because she didn't share as much as Josh and Dakota
