    Hey Glamfam! In this video I am discussing what is really happening to the hair when you are flat ironing your hair. This is important information to know because there can not only be issues of heat damage, but also of a loss of hydration. This , when done repeatedly can cause issues with dryness. The number one cause of breakage is dryness, so we want to ensure we are correctly identifying and solving the issue. As always, if you have any questions, let me know in the comments! Until next time y'all, take care, God bless, and stay glam!

      Sin shortens life, because of our sins we are separated from God. Everyone have an expiration date and this world have an expiration date.There is nothing in this world worth going to hellfire for, depart from worldliness everyone. It's NOT about religion/denomination, it's about a relationship with Jesus Christ by praying everyday, reading the Bible everyday, believe the gospel, While you are still alive repent of all of your sins and be born again. Rapture is imminent, do not be left behind. Jesus Christ is coming back everyone, get yourselves ready.

      They likely had their temperature setting too high. I see too many stylists that set the iron it the highest temp because it’s faster, rather than selecting the appropriate temp for the clients fabric of hair.

      This is why I've always done my own hair. My natural hair presses straight at 360-375 with one pass. Every two weeks I flat iron it and my coil pattern is still intact...unfortunately. I was actually hoping that after 2+ years of continuous flat ironing fine hair that the texture would be looser but nope.

Its perfect. I always makre your to have a leave in moisturizer as well as a geat protectant spray in my hair before blow drying and then i straighten. Hair is soft and sleek with just 2 passes and the chase method. I have tried straightening with no product and my hair wont go sleek or shiny, and it has loads of frizz like you said. My hair is waist length from following basic steps to prevent heat damage. Thank you for giving us the goodies. 😊

Like most people, I thought the smoke was because the iron was too hot, and not that it was steam as the moisture was coming out. I never thought of the steam that I saw when I flatironed my hair as moisture loss before. But it definitely makes sense. Do you teach your students how to do tape in hair extensions as well? I recently watched a number of videos of people who had them done. The interesting thing is that I haven't heard how they are removed. I've wondered if they put any strain on the person's on hair? Or if they caused any damage or thinning long term? They do look really natural though. And it was good to see that you uploaded a video. The slick back is still slicking.

      I think they are removed at the next wash. Most people who get silk pressed, usually have no water applied to the hair for any reason for 2-4 weeks.

    Lol thank you for your informative videos…I love the delivery! Can you please direct me to some of your videos for “wash & wear” regimes and styles. I have a ton of thick fine yet curly hair that i just can’t keep moisturized in these styles.

    Now I don’t want to apply heat ever! This explains why I need a deep condition after getting a silk out. It always seems to damage my fine 4c hair quickly. My poor strands can’t afford to lose any water. Maybe why I like gel? ( non alcohol, I do listen and sometimes take action🤣.) Thanks for sharing.

    What types of leave in would you recommend for after straightening?

  • @PrincessPink433
    @PrincessPink433 Рік тому +21

    The same can be said about perms, another chemical that straightens the hair AND can actually be deadly, yet no professional ever talks about that because they’re scared of telling the truth. Back to flat irons, I haven’t used one since high school and that was a decade ago. Growing up I had a fascination with long and straight hair for many years. I still like it, but I no longer have a desire to change my own hair texture because I love it, God blessed me with length and it makes me unique.

      @@GetGlamFam I don’t use heat anymore but I remember a time when I was using a curling iron on my hair and later on I got caught in the rain and my hair smelled awful. I don’t remember exactly what it smelled like, but I do know it was awful and it stemmed from using the curling iron. What’s your thoughts my super hero Linwood?
