      you know what I’ve binged watched him also I’m subscribed and I do love these videos but when you say unbiased I stopped and thought for a second if he’smaking a commission or sponsorship, any $, from talking about OlaPlaex or any of the ones that are on here, is it really unbiased because that’s what people do, they say one products better and one is bad because they’re making money off of it and they’re advertising it at the same time while giving you advice it might just be a real sly fucking way to do it you know I really hope that’s not the case but some people are just better at disguising what their motive is than others! 🤷🏻‍♀️🙏🏻🤗

      @@alexismichos2642 That did cross my mind for sure but I ended up ordering some of the products he recommended and I found that while the olaplex and morrocan oil do work for me, that blow dry cream is realllyyy not for me. Still don’t know how I feel about the heat protectant either.

    As an African American woman with curly long hair is that the blow drying part really hits. Especially with a round brush it makes your hair that much smoother when you straighten it and easier too compared to air drying. Don't forget heat protection!

    • @desiree7633
      @desiree7633 Рік тому +4

      Yes! For me a boar bristle round brush is best as it really grips my hair

    • @EritreanChic
      @EritreanChic 4 місяці тому

      Yes, blow drying with a round brush does most of the smoothing before the straightening tool (I use a Tymo ring or Instyler bcuz flat irons don’t work as well for my coarse hair).

    I just wanted to say a BIG thank you because a ‘hairdresser’ damaged my hair in 2020 and since then I have spent thousands and thousands of £s trying to fix it and no matter how much I cut off it was still breaking. I have used everything!!! Ever since I started watching your videos I now have a simple healthy hair routine and I’ve never been happier. Obviously I still have some damage but my hair is in much better condition and it can hold styling and can be brushed everyday which was the hardest thing to do. You have literally saved my hair. I am now working on getting my hair thick again which I’m sure without breakage it’ll get there soon. Massive thank you to you!!!

    OMG Chris. Thank you, Thank You, Thank you. I literally have purchased all of your recommendations for my hair and waiting on them to arrive, I had the olaplex oil. In the meantime, I experimented. LET ME TELL YOU HOW IMPRESSED I AM RIGHT NOW! I had long hair and cut it a little longer than chin length last year, lowlights, with short layers and bangs, I feel I'm on the medium hair spectrum bordering coarse, my hair all my life, (51yrs) has never held a curl. So I tried your smaller barrel technique (after always using big round brushes, GHD flat iron, foxy Bae 5 and 1 curling system the spiral, bubble and 2 largest attachments). I used Aveda thermal spray and the 3/4 barrel. WOW, WOW!!!!! I'm living through 90 degree, 100% humidity and its relentless in Michigan this summer. After curling it, i used a little of the oil, proceeded to walk outside, I read a few chapters in my book, worked a 12 hour shift last night, napped after getting home this morning before another 12 hours tonight and my curls are still going! 💯 you are the bomb after spending millions over the years, shopping at Cosmo prof (was a nail tech in my young years), salons etc....I finally can be happy with my Holy Grails thanks to your advice. I hope to retire to Ft. Meyers and I will be looking your salon up .

    Flat ironing is the only thing that smooths my hair. Blow outs don't cut it, my hair no matter what professional or how much tension, blowouts make my hair too poofy and apparently professionals all say woah your hair is really thick and there's a lot of it. So sure blowouts can be cute but I like sleek and only the iron works. I'm glad to hear blow drying as straight as I can and then iron because that's what I do! I've found only titanium plates work well on me. I just need help understanding if my styling products are right hence why I'm here!

    • @clisaa6974
      @clisaa6974 Рік тому +2

      ^Girl same ! I have thick hair, and when i do it myself i need to blow-dry then flat iron or as you said it's just too poofy if i just blow dry it. Done this for ages. But, then if i want to curl my hair its an extra step... which is more heat! but if i just blow dry and then use a curling iron the curls don't look as polished. But, you know if you find a good stylist they don't need to flat iron it IF they do a great blow out. I've gone to some stylists who suck, complain how much hair i have and blow-dry it no better than i could and with poof! But, thankfully lately i found great stylist who blow dry it so nice and smooth, and sleek .... when i need my hair for a event. I just wish i could blow dry as a professional and take out the flat iron step .

    Thank you for this great and important info on heat protectant sand flat ironing. I have that problem with my hair. My hair grows from the scalp it breaks at the ends. It’s very frustrating because I’m trying to growmy hair a little longer. I also recently bought a Babyliss flat iron, the narrow one but not clear what heat protectant is best. This video shells me with that. I also take heavy sit medications for rheumatoid arthritis. Do you have any suggestions that would help my hair? Would that affect my hair? Also, does I make any difference the size of th flat iron, narrow compare to wider? Also, do you recommend a hair product to use after flat ironing? I look forward o your reply. Thanks so much.

My main reason for the delay is I have naturally curly hair and don't want to damage my curls and make my hair dryer and more brittle. I would like to use a more "natural" heat protector if possible. This is probably a very ignorant question but do you first of all use a blow dry cream when you blow dry the hair straight and then use the stronger heat protector when you get onto doing the flat ironing or do you use the stronger heat protector when you start the whole thing off?? Also I have asked for help with short hairstyles but a big problem is I cannot use a brush with a flat iron because my hair is simply too short this means that I tend to pass more than once over a lot of my hair because I don’t get it right first time and I know I’m doing damage so can you give some tips for short hair flat ironing? Thanks again for a fantastic video! 😁🥰

    Hello, so I'm getting my hair permanently straightened with Japanese Hair Straightening service and I wanted to ask if you have any products you recommend I use after the 72 hours of process?

    ok, so the Pureology leave in conditioner is a game changer on day one!!! I have 64yo hair that has changed texture the last few years and my top layer frizz was GONE using the leave in. Question though...what is the difference between the Kenra Thermal Styling Spray, and the Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray, which I've used forever?

    Are any of these heat protectants good for curly hair? I ask because my curly hair will revert back with any “wet” spray. Or maybe my issue is putting too much product for it to soak too much?

    I loosely tie my hair back at night and I always have one side that needs to be retouched. I know that’s not good to retouch everyday. Any tips or tricks please

    The two products you mentioned have alcohol which is very drying to my high porosity hair. Is there any heat protection products without alcohol that you recommend? Possibly in a form of a serum?

    I have long straight hair but i prefer it being wavy and i would like more volume. Do you have a video on how to get/keep wavy hair?
    Also i was wondering how you use both the blow dry heatprotection spray and the blow out cream?
