Very good video, just notice that the internal orginal NVMe is quite a bad drive. The first few GB you copy the performances are good but then the drop of speed is embarrassing low (apparently once the cache is full) If you plan to use it to copy Video (or other kind of large) files on the road I really suggest that you change also the NVMe for a better model.

I watched another video describing how to install the Ram in the laptop and he did not go through as much detail he also did not explain the different types of Ram and the different quality of the Ram. Plus they didn't make any mention about upgrading the hard drive. Nor did they mention using the software to find out what kind of Ram and performance of the Ram in their videos.

Thanks for the great video! I have the same laptop and used the same RAM, however in the task manager mine only registers as 2400 MHz instead of 3200 MHz. BIOS shows 3200 MHz, but task manager is showing 2400 MHz. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
That's odd, usually I'd suggest turning on xmp from the bios, but this laptop doesn't have that option, the RAM is supposed to run at the xmp speed by default.
I tried to install 1 GB HDD at the place of that dummy hdd. It fitted on it very well but Unfortunately the hdd was thicker than the dummy hdd. And the screws weren't tightening. So i had to give up. Any advice??

Figured I’d provide an update for anyone interested. I bought an entire motherboard with the ryzen 7 and gtx1660ti using HP part numbers on their service guide. Ordered it from china for almost $1000 less than anything in the states and surprisingly it works great. Checked part numbers of the chips and everything checked out. Only other thing that was needed was a 200 watt power cable as that is the only different connector between the boards. I can provide part numbers for anyone interested. After many updates and driver installs it works perfectly and is significantly faster as I hoped

Thank you and there will not be any improvement to the performance if you keep the single rank stick, the dual rank RAM will operate as a SINGLE RANK RAM to match the existing lower spec memory. You will need both of them to be double rank to get the full benefit of a dual rank memory.

You can buy a single 16GB stick and put that in the slot that is working. There is no other way to fix a damaged RAM slot, but to replace the motherboard, you will need to contact HP support for that, but its better to just buy a single 16GB stick and use it as it is because mobo replacements are very expensive.

Ryzen 3550H is still a high performance and gaming-oriented CPU, it's got the H suffix, you will need to find a notebook that has a processor with the 'U' suffix those processors are oriented towards battery life and portability, generally, gaming laptops will always suffer from low battery backup, they usually last only about 3-4 hours on average, while 6-10 hours is the norm with non-gaming notebooks.

I have the same laptop hp pavilion gaming 15 with AMD R5 5600H CPU and RTX 3050 GPU. Recently I did buy and upgraded my laptop ram to 32gb ram but after installing new ram I noticed everything works fine as usual except games. For some reason games which are supposed to get more than 80-90fps from 8gb previous ram now I'm get 40fps with 32gb ram. It looks like a fps lock or something because it's not going more than 40FPS and not getting below 39fps. I tested it with 2 AAA titles which are GTA 5 and Ghost wire Tokyo. I did contact laptop service center they said try updating drivers and update but all of them are already updated. If you know why might causing this issue for me please help.
I guess the RAM is not running at the rated XMP speed, open task manager and see how many Mhz it is running at? Did you mix and match RAM sticks? if so that might be it.

Yeah, almost every laptop I've come across have replaceable wireless cards, it will most likely have an m.2 Wi-Fi adapter card in it, just like mine does, if you aren't sure on how to do it, the best way is to have HP replace the card for you, they will swap it out for the exact model the laptop came with.

Hi, I have installed 2x 16gb rams just like you showed. I booted the computer and it showed on memory i had 32gb of memory. Then I partitioned the SSD and started using the laptop for a few hours. I checked the memory again and surprisingly it only showed 16gb and on CPU-Z it doesn't show Dual channel only single. I have taken the sticks out and swapped them but still same issue. Any idea why ?

You make it seem really easy however when I tried to unscrew the hard drive, it was really difficult, almost impossible, I spent over 2 hours trying to unscrew this hard drive, and I am planning on keep trying. It's been over a day, this made me so frustrated that I just wanted to destroy the whole laptop.
@@myg_ho3127 I ended up removing the screws on the sides of the SSD bracket with the screwdriver by pulling them out by force instead of unscrewing them, the SSD bracket inside the laptop bent a little. In the end, I was able to install the new SSD there.

Well I went for the Crucial 8 GB model 3200mhz, and then now the ddr4 ram prices are super low and I bought 8Gb stick for 2450rs and now it selling for 1500rs . SAD BUT I can upgrade to 32 GiB now and sell the old rams.

You cant upgrade the motherboard or the CPU/GPU in these, the only option is to buy a new laptop.

Mainly performance, blue series ssds from are faster, but from my experience wd green ssd is fast enough for storing and running games.

You will use both to run games, RAM is short term storage and SSD is long term. 16 GB is fine for gaming, even 8 GB is good enough

Doesn't removing the hdd will also remove windows os?
Not unless you clone the old drive to new one, I have a tutorial on the channel on how to do it.

Bro I wanted to upgrade the wifi card for my hp pavillion gaming laptop, ryzen 7 5800h and rtx 3050, do you have any suggestions for the wifi card ?
You make it seem really easy however when I tried to unscrew the hard drive, it was really difficult, almost impossible, I spent over 2 hours trying to unscrew this hard drive, and I am planning on keep trying. It's been over a day, this made me so frustrated that I just wanted to destroy the whole laptop.

@@myg_ho3127 I ended up removing the screws on the sides of the SSD bracket with the screwdriver by pulling them out by force instead of unscrewing them, the SSD bracket inside the laptop bent a little. In the end, I was able to install the new SSD there.
@@renatabalina2720 what did you use to pull them out? because i've really tried and they are well and truly in there 😭😭 and im so scared of damaging other internal component

can I use 2TB SATA SSD instead of 1 TB? will it be compatible?( i have the same exact laptop)
Yes, a 2TB SSD will work fine! The original plan was to get a 2TB SSD, but it was out of my budget.

which ram should i use? i want to upgrade my same hp model i.e 75ax urs is 76ax, I have 8 g.b of ram but I easily touch 93% , suggest me a good one which should be capatible and be utilized fully. Thanx
Well I went for the Crucial 8 GB model 3200mhz, and then now the ddr4 ram prices are super low and I bought 8Gb stick for 2450rs and now it selling for 1500rs . SAD BUT I can upgrade to 32 GiB now and sell the old rams.
