@@keatonrowe2546 If you an old credit card or an old plastic card like a driver's license you can use that to stick it between the laptop chassis and cover, it won't damage the notebook but it took a little while to figure that out.
Im using 24gb of ram in mine, and running at full speed. If people wanna eventually upgrade to 32gb but only have the money for a single 16gb kit, go for it. Leave the 8gb stick in it, and just make sure its 5600mhz cl46. Watching this video because I wanna upgrade the storage now, the 512gb ssd this thing comes with is tiny to todays standards. I do recommend for anyone that wants to keep their stuff to get a m.2 enclosure, you can use software to transfer your entire c drive to your new drive. You can then use your old drive as a fast usb drive, just use the software or windows to format the old drive once you've made sure your new one boots.

@@babaswrld8239 I would recommend a 2tb crucial p3 gen 4 drive, its gonna have the best price to perfomance. On a side note - Damn I wish I was american when it's time to buy new computer gaming parts/laptops. Getting the Victus 15 with a 4050 for only 600 USD from walmart is insane value. I thought I had a good deal ( And I do, considering local market and most stuff on amazon, newegg - I checked) nabbing the 2050 version, 16 ram, and AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS for 600$ while I was in Thailand, but that's a whole tier better for pretty much the same price.
I just completed my RAM upgrade a few minutes ago. Here are my thoughts: 1) There's no way I could've unhinged the plastic prongs without my new prying tool. I also had used the mini screwdriver to hold each corner up to be sure they wouldn't click back into place, but I was just nervous. I suggest getting the prying tool rather than the mini guitar pick ones because the leverage is so much better and it's around the same price as the 10 packs of picks. 2) When inputting the RAM sticks, insert at a diagonal and gently push down until it clicks into place. I got two 16 GB sticks to be sure 100% they are compatible (anyone want my extra stick from the build lol). I didn't insert the second one at a diagonal before pushing down, so it didn't click into place. Removing and reinserting was a hassle. 3) Unless you are also replacing the SSD, there's no setup once you turn it on. I'm pretty happy with my purchase, I'll be using this for college so I'm glad everything worked out. I choose 32 GB of RAM to be 100% sure there's no issues in the future, but I don't see the need to increase HD space with cloud storage. I'll probably only play a few games at a time on here anyway, so I don't mind reinstalling games.
