After you found the wire issue, you should have unplugged the unit. You did allow the clamps to touch and spark. You could also have left the unit unplugged from the beginning and traced the bad connection with the ohmmeter. Much safer. I fear you will learn the hard way... Good luck.

Good video. My charger is acting really weird. My needle keeps moving up and then back down again with the "full battery" light coming on and off... the power coming out of the charger ramps up and down with it too. Really strange. Transformer is working, the switch is open like it should be. I am thinking it must be the circuit board but I don't see anything burned.

@@Duby4life Cool, thanks!!! I am honored. For further information, I used it on my car battery which I thought was dead but took it to Batteries + and they said it was good. I also used it on my lawnmower battery. Both were doing that weird bouncing thing.
