Fixing a broken battery charger!

I got this battery charger cheap but. it does not work! I did some simple diagnostics. I Fixed it for 5 dollars and about 5 minutes of my time!

Good job. It's amazing what people throw away. I've got the 200 amp starter version. It had two bad press fit rectifying diodes that were broken in half. Amazon had 2 for 26.00 and it's working again. I upgraded the heat sink plate with a CPU heat-sink that I cut in half and drilled/tapped it to attach to the plate and used thermal paste between the diode and heat-sink. I also installed a 110v cooling fan scrounged from a microwave oven to blow across the fins. Now when it's charging it doesn't even feel warm.
