I am a HUGE BBVD fan. I go see them live every time they come to Georgia. This time it was about a 285 mile trip (one way). It was absolutely worth it!! These guys sound even better live than they do on their discs. How often does that happen? I stayed after and they graciously signed all of my CDs and program. They could have been complete jerks because I brought so many things, but they were all super-nice and friendly. I even got my picture with Scotty. Great music and great guys.

These folks, in addition to the Brian Setzer Orchestra, are why swing music is the best music of the modern world. Shame the revival didn't last longer than it did. I'd rather listen to this on mainstream radio than what they are playing (in terms of today's music).
Years ago in highchool i remember only a few kids liking Brian Setzer and Big Bad Voodoo as much as i did. Thankfully the rest of my generation held interest.
I've been following these guys for nearly 20 years and they just keeping getting better. Once you hear them you'll love them if you like this kind of music.
Wow! What a tight jazz ensemble. Awesome in every way. I’ll be having this song in my head for days. Trumpet player has monster chops! All of you guys are masters of your craft, and it shows that you’ve invested years “in the wood shed”. Love the vocals too. Showmanship of the string bass, cool... could have sworn that I heard a fuller instrument section and some tuba playing too. Hmmmm, lots of music happening in this arrangement. Can’t complement y’all enough!!
Visually this takes me back to the days of Abbott & Costello, The 3 Stooges, Laurel & Hardy Also makes me think of Bonnie & Clyde, Al Capone, those old time cars
I saw them live last month and they were FANTASTIC! I recommend checking their tour dates and see them if you can. They are celebrating 25 years together - with all original members! What other group can say that? ;-)
They are fantastic LIVE! Such energy and they are really nice too! ^^ Scotty let me hug him! You just can't sit still with this song!! Tappin' in my Pj's! haha

Beautiful music! Thanks guys. My warmest greetings to all true music lovers from Belgrade at the crossing of worlds and two large rivers. Makes me happy to be alive and kicking in these crazy times and less than wonderful world we all live in.
Saw the show in Montclair last night at the Wellmont Theater!!! Damn!!! You guys killed it. Amazing. Thank you- you just can't beat that big band sound. It ROCKED. I was smiling and bouncing all night! Lara Hope and the Arktones were also FABULOUS!
No joking. I have a male 35 year old Sulpur Crested Cockatoo named Ikarus. I call him Icky but I when I yell for him from another room or when coming home from work, I yell out for my "IGGA DIGGA DO " . If wasn't for my dad who was there for the original...and had all those 78s, I wouldn't have gotten into swing way back...now we have BBVD & other bands updating it about & bringing back. I'm 65, grew up on rock but swing like this gets me
Diga Diga Doo. What an awesome music video. This is one of my favorite exotica music tracks by Martin Denny. But it didn’t start that way. The original was written and performed for the Broadway musical “Blackbirds of 1929” by Jimmy McHugh (music) and Dorothy Fields (words). • It hit number 17 in the charts in 1928 when it was recorded by the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Diga Diga Doo went on to be recored many times by many artists: • The Mills Brothers (19342), • Benny Goodman (1935), • Cootie Williams (1937), and many others, etc… • It even was done in the film “Stormy Weather” by the great Lena Horne (1943.) • In the 50’s it was recorded as a EXOTICA music track by the king of Exotica Martin Denny. Who recorded it in the gymnasium of the King Kamehameha High School because of the neat acoustics. Quickly afterward it was recorded and released by the other exotica bands of the Hawaiian-craze of the day: • Les Baxter • Arthur Lyman It made it’s way through all the TIKI lounges in Waikiki and then the mainland where it hit such famous places as “Don the Beach Comber’s Tiki Lounge” and “Trader Vics”. It can even be heard today as it is still recorded by Neo-exotica bands and new acts capturing that Vintage hipster craze like “Big Bad Voo Doo Daddy”.
Very interesting. I'll have to do some research on that. I LOVE history. the Vikings in particular, but i am an enthusiast when it comes to any thing between the tesla era of electricity and the nintie's. thank you.
When they start touring again they are a must see. You owe it to yourself to have an enjoyable night out. We saw them at Wind Creek, PA; many of the audience dress age appropriate; dance in the aisles!
I love the 1920s and 1930s feel

Still a banger 2024 anyone?😊🥰👍💯💕💞💖
