well I guess I commented in the wrong place , sort of since, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. and Scotty Morris are awesome, but this is Peter, Paul and Mary. Well, I can definitely comment here on Peter Paul and Mary, since I grew up with them and have always loved them. (born 58). Lord I love how they dispel the stupid rumors that this song is about smoking pot. who is that dumb azz? Peter, Paul and Mary had the most beautiful and meaningful music ever. Been listening to Early Morning Rain, for instance and truly see how great these folk were. 500 Miles, If i had a Hammer, etc
So just by luck and circumstance, I ended up on jury duty in Ventura and ended up on a jury. By great luck and coincidence, I was juror #11 and Scotty Morris was juror # 12 serving his civic duty. At first at jury selection he just said he was a musician who wrote songs and played in a band as an occupation. Later after prodding from various sources we learned he was the cofounder, lead vocal and guitar and songwriter and composer for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Wow. I confessed I had one of the bands CD's. Before this we talked about hiking, parks, and fishing and he was just one of us and seemed a really nice person. Well, I am here to say he is both a really nice person and an exceptional guy both in unreal musical talent and being the nicest guy ever. Like your instant best friend. So, we talked and were just like good friends, not just me, but everyone on our jury, all 13 of us. So i checked out a few of the bands new songs, and they were awesome. 2.5 songs to be exact before we completed jury duty. I stopped then to prevent myself from bias on the jury due to "hero worship" since I needed to remain unbiased and not be the guy that "well if that is how Scotty is going he must be right. After we gave our verdict, my obligation was over. I asked Scotty to write a quick message and autograph 2 CD's I had bought, and just like I thought, he was kind enough to autograph them for me and my buddy. So, i am back to swing music and really enjoying Big Bad Voodoo Daddy .So if you ever want to know, I met and hanged out with Scotty Morris and he is the nicest, kindest, down to earth, coolest and most humble, crazy extreme talented person I have ever met. Bottom line, Scotty is the best in every way that matters. Hey, Scotty really glad to meet you, you brightened my life, provided some excitement and I wish you well in every way in the future. Try some streamers for big trout. By the way my friend Mike is super pumped about the kind message you gave him, guess what, he was out swing dancing with his new girlfriend when I sent him the text and photo of your kind and cool autographed CD. So, a footnote to your extensive listening of music from many artists. Santana, Soul Sacrifice live at Woodstock. Drummer and lead guitar (Carlos Santana) in perfect synchronization. The best drum solo switch to lead guitar I have ever seen for sure. Also the Beatles rooftop concert. About a million others. Take care Scotty, you are a truly great guy, wishing you and your partner and family well. Hope the socks fit.

I see a lot of people in the comment section going on about how overlooked BBVD is/was. These guys were freaking HUGE popular for a good minute or 15 and have been a steady part of the music biz ever since. Back in the 90's I'd seen them share the stage with some of the biggest bands in rock and punk and they had a video or 2 in heavy rotation on MTV. I'm happy to see bands from that era of swing like BBVD still out there kicking ass.. not to mention getting semi regular bookings on Letterman and such.
Have loved this group since first seeing them in Santa Barbara early in their amazing and successful career. Talented, toe-tapping fun. Classy. Repeat seeing them and it never feels repetitious...just makes me wanna see 'em again.

I saw BBVD when they played in the infield of Churchill Downs the Thursday before the Kentucky Derby, previous to 2000. I forget what year it was. But I vividly remember the experience. They were beyond wonderful.
Aaaaah! Totally crushing on these dudes! All of them. Hahaha. That sense of style is dreamy! This band got me into listening to swing music and post modern jukebox.
I met them and they are the coolest people you will ever meet they are so nice I went to see them about a couple years later and they actually remembered me for some weird reason 😅❤
I'm Canadian and components of this group would frequent the Bartholomews Pub in Victoria BC Canada along with Alison Kraus and hundreds if not thousands of fresh open shell oysters from Fanny Bay, BC. I spent many enjoyable hours in this Pub during my business travels and still have this album from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Great times!

Aaaaah! Totally crushing on these dudes! All of them. Hahaha. That sense of style is dreamy! This band got me into listening to swing music and post modern jukebox.
I met them and they are the coolest people you will ever meet they are so nice I went to see them about a couple years later and they actually remembered me for some weird reason 😅❤

I'm Canadian and components of this group would frequent the Bartholomews Pub in Victoria BC Canada along with Alison Kraus and hundreds if not thousands of fresh open shell oysters from Fanny Bay, BC. I spent many enjoyable hours in this Pub during my business travels and still have this album from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Great times!
