I first started wrapping my car in January of this year. I don't have a garage so I wrap outside. Out of everyone on youtube, your videos have been the most helpful. I am now on my 3rd car and finally got the momentum when it comes to wrapping I am now working on perfecting it. Thanks man!

@@GlobalDesignHD if I were you I would start in the summer/spring time wrap tears extremely easy in the cold and doesn’t stretch good unless warm Id wait till a sunny day and at least 60°+ (15° C+) if you wrapping outside. Also doesn’t stick as good in the cold.

@@GlobalDesignHD i have never used 3M tbh, I’ve used vvivid for all the cars Ive done and its held up extremely well I live in Okinawa japan constant sun ☀️. And it hasn’t faded and its been on for months now. VVIVID is about 300-400 for a 50ft roll when I was buying. I even wrapped my computer once I got comfortable with how the stuff works ordered some cheap Chinese no brand wrap and it worked the same just didn’t have the stretch like the vvivid. Because it gives me a realistic view of what to expect for my first DIY car wrap, and not just some edited highlight reel that shows it finished perfectly the first time around with no corrections and with time lapsed film so it seems like it was done that fast and easily. (I am sure its Mostly because, they want to show off how good and quick they are able to do wrapping . when in reality every mistake was just edited out. So bravo and thank you for your transparency

Matt, you definitely are on the right track, couple things to remember, the nozzle of that heat gun is scorching hot, don't throw the heat gun on the seat after you've used it, you can easily damage the fabric, also, professionals have a lot of respect for the tools they use, do not throw your heat gun on the floor. There's another heads up about heat guns and rags , I almost burned my garage down once, when I put the heat gun close to a rag that had some thinner on it.

I will buy mid-grade viynl and attempt to do my whole car without anyone around to help. I'll bet with your tips and my similar experience by next year I'll be anodizing my 06 avalon. I will be practicing with big scraps in hard spots like my front bumper .I'll just pull and trash the viynl regardless of how good it looks. It was just to perfect my angels before I ruin my good viynl. You said in the beginning this isn't watch n learn and I agree 💯 percent 👍.
