I have used this "looking for hearts" method for YEARS and it works. I use a black circle, i.e. a hair tie. It is incredible how when I am in doubt all of a sudden there is a black hair tie, everywhere in public, and in my home...even when I was bald for year with cancer, somehow, hair ties everywhere, a communication network between my mind and the outer world, confirmation of "girl, life is working in your favor, KEEP GOING!" 3 years cancer free now!!

Last night was the first time I listened/ watched a Mel Robbins podcast here on UA-cam. I really thought so much about how I would really try to see hearts. Today I went for my Echocardiogram not even connecting that I had this medical appt the day after watching this episode. Well, I spent the 40 min. watching my actual heart on the screen during the echo. I looked and thought and felt how very lucky I am to be alive, be here, be healthy. I was in the moment and had much gratitude. Thank you for helping me start this journey of self awareness, self love, and gratitude for life.

When you talked about the importance of mindset even when the outer reality wont change(like for those living in Iran/Ukraine), i started crying because it was exactly what i needed to hear.
I fortunately don't live in a country dealing with war/strife, but i have been dealing with health issues that seem out of my control and i struggle with my mindset because positive or negative i still have these health issues. But now i understand, a positive mindset won't change it, but it will change my resiliency. 💝 thank you, Mel

Hand to hand combat with your mind...that's exactly right. It gets very difficult to keep going when you have a barrage of crap handed to you within a span of 2 years. I could list it all, but I wouldn't be unique in this situation. Life just kicked my *ss, and it's so difficult to see the hearts. The hardest thing is when your main touchstone (in this case, my sister) succumbs to cancer. She was always the one to see the hearts in everything.

    Dear Mel,
I listen and love You from Poland. Today I got my morning jogging with your podcast about mindset.
I really want to share with You my favorite visualization about it.
Here it is (please excuse my English) :
Imagine a man in bus, he's going back home from work. He's standing and thinking:
    - I hate my job, it socks
    - my boss is a monster
    - I don't get along with my wife, she's bitch, always argue with me for no reson
    - and my health get worse
And there's an angel standing next to this man with a notebook, writing... And the angel says:
    - hmmm, strange wishes...

Incredible. I just woke up and opened my laptop 58:45. Omg, I have that happen with hearts and certain birds and other symbols, over and over speaking to me. Finding your podcast on auto play telling me what I need to hear, to me is mind blowing. I notice that when I would journal all my experiences of the symbols or meaningful coincidences, the more I keep seeing. Thank you so much, I look forward to getting your book and will be watching more of your podcast. Thank you so much!!! Wayne Dyer used to say Change the way you look at thing and the way you look at things change, I feel in many ways your were relaying that message. Beautiful!

Loved the message! I went through something similar to this 2 years ago. I had hit rock bottom, and could not see a way out. I decided to educate myself on self awareness, self image, self care, etc.. This became my new reality with a clear sense of direction with motivation being my drive. I'd like to think I am great at motivating others. Unfortunately, after 2 years of getting to know myself on a higher understanding I could not motivate myself. I was bombarded, and started to sway into my negative thought patterns. But! If fate intervened, and I had my epiphany as you might describe it. What drives my motivation now is a simple quote I tell myself when someone challenges me. "No one is going to steal my joy." When I watched your podcast I couldn't believe it. Basically, you're teaching the same message that took me 2 years to realize. Phenomenal! I thoughtfully enjoyed your perspective. 🤗

I want to thank you. I am so glad I found this podcast. What an inspiration. I watched this last night and watched another today. Funny story though, on the way to dropping off my son at school I said to him that I wanted to find me a love heart. (Now he is 14 and Autistic. He is in a special class at school has a support teacher with him all the time). I said it has to be in the wild. Maybe a cloud or rock or a leaf. He said ok mum. I went to go and pick him up from school. Asked him how his day was and if he found a love heart. He then said that he told his support teacher what I said and his teacher said hold on I’ll be right back, the teacher went upstairs and grabbed a piece of paper and went back to Josh my son. And he folded it up and made a love heart. Josh then opened up his lunch box and pulled out this love heart. I laughed so hard. I had to share this with you. 😂

I watched this video and thought to myself, yenno this may become coincidental or it won’t be as impacting as she’s describing when I see it.
I later forget about the hearts and I’m sitting with my partner, cuddling, and they look to me and take their index finger and drew a heart on a scar I have between my eyebrows and further said, “here’s a heart for you.” I was SHOCKED. I doubted how impacting it would be and there it is, presented to me through a dear loved one. So special. Thank you for this. ❤

I live a life with a huge filter on whom i let it. I use to live a rose colored glasses mentality and it all came tumbling down. Then i went through a period of clear vision. It has been one of the most difficult times in my life. As i have radical acceptance and eorking through things it is helping to be able to have a rise colored glasses mentality between the crappy moments. Not staying in some poly anna or harsh reality. It is wonderful to enjoy moments. Despite the multiple truth that also their sre crappy aspects of your life.

Mehl. Thank you for sharing this with us. I've been going to a marriage counselor with my spouse without success (though she tries very hard) because I could not understand why he upsets me soo much. Now I know ow that we both have different lenses. I tend to be all like "YOLO" and he tends to be pessimistic about everything I do or achieve as well as the kids. Instead of avoiding him, I will try compassion and understanding because he had a terrible childhood that is now mentally caught up with him. Peace to you all. ❤

To where it makes everything make sense to where it got me replaying this session over n over again. This episode is great.
Question: How to apply this when in a relationship that you love and is good in so many ways, but there is still a little uncertainty?
    The dilemma...
    Staying -
Fear - what if one grows and the other stays stagnant, and time keeps being wasted.
Positive - What if it works out and we grow stronger together?
    Leaving-
Fear - what if I'm giving up on something great.
Positive - what if I miss out on a new opportunity to reconnect with me.

I have run this through my mind so many times and ultimately… you just have to trust you’ll be okay no matter what the other person does, while also actively upholding your boundaries. Even if you find the love of your life and it works well, they might suddenly leave or die. And you have to have faith that you will know how to support yourself emotionally with or without the other person.
