One of the best follows from Potato Jet. Thanks!
Really good walkthrough on setting compressor!!!
Excellent demo of the inexpensive Melda Production package, which I downloaded, tried, then licensed. No VST3 plug ins seem to work with Cyberlink Audio Director, so I also downloaded Reaper, which found the Melda plug ins during installation. Reaper plus Melda work together perfectly. I have learned a lot about my own voice and about equalization by simply spending some time in Reaper using the plugins. I went ahead and purchased both, but I recommend anyone wanting to learn for themselves how effective an equalizer can be to try a free DAW and the Melda package and spend a few hours (I need days!) with it.
Thanks for this comparison. I've got the Shure for my Podbike and this is exactly the plan I have.
Great video! Awesome tips! :)
The Gerald Undone of audio. Following.
In case you needed the deesser, there's a free one that you recommend? Thanks in advance. Excellent videos btw.
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing. One question. What would this look like if you had two people in the same room? I run a two person podcast. We have an issue with microphone bleed.
Hey Alex. Loving the channel! I'm curious what you think about Deity mics, versus the other high-end names or even the RODE lineup?
I'm also wondering if you could do a lineup comparison video (or series) between the major brands?
Thanks :)
Keep the good work! greetings from Perú
Can you make a video on how to avoid picking up keyboard and mouse noises for pc gamers? Whether it be a certain type of mic, positioning, software manipulation, etc.
how do i recognize bad sounding frequencies?
Really helpful information! Thanks!
I'd recommend the Behringer XM8500 microphone for a beginner podcaster. Sounds great, is cheap and more than enough for a great sounding podcast.
Would you consider going over budget USB interfaces (like focusrite scarletts) and possibly live-streaming audio tips? And this was another great video, thank you! 👌
Thanks for the video. Always lovely to watch your videos. The FabFilter Pro Q 3 EQ you talk about, it is a plugin, right? Do you know about any standalone EQs for Mac? I am using Loopback at the moment to EQ any sound/audio input and then create a virtual sound card out of this. But excited to learn about other options.
Alex is there any way to connect Camtasia Recorder (Live Screen with Use Mic recording - ) which accept EQed Audio from Fabfilter EQ or something else directly to Camtasia recorder so that I do not have to edit audio latter.
Awesome video. This one helped me a lot. I started producing a podcast with 3 people on it, and the biggest issue I'm having is controlling/mixing the voice levels. All 3 people have different voices, one has a deep and loud voice. When he laughs, it clips badly. The other two are girls, and one of them has a softer voice. I have to constantly keep raising her fader. But the dynamics of their voices are so varied, that it's extremely challenging to even them out and maintain consistency while recording. Any tips?
I have iZotope's Necter 3/RX8, and they allow you to switch between peak and RMS on the compressor. Any thoughts on why you'd use one over the other?
Great
Great Video !
Make a video about the complete process of audio in a movie, and how we can work in budget movies, could be 2 videos
Great video as always, learned so much from all ur video ever since u made ur debute with potatoe jet. Quick question, is there any good free equalizer i can use for PC or Ipad? I cant find any free though... The most i could use is from a feature in Davinci resolve but it doesnt sound very good...
great stuff
Do you have any suggestions for preamps with equalizers built in for vocals? I've been thinking of the PreSonus Studio Channel on BNH, but I'm looking for other options.
How do you record the video and screen at the same time? Recording video straight into the computer and recording the screen at the same time??
You could do it this way, if the camera is connected to your pc, but he probably just recorded on his camera and put it together in post.
Edit: He didn‘t record the screen at the same time because he was clearly talking to the camera while making adjustments on the screen...
comment for the algorithms.
Anyone else think the 58 sounded better when he A/B’d it at the very end? 😬
thought I have the only cheap ears. Don't like the sound of the Neumann.
Not sure I liked the end result, but, hey what do I know, I came to learn not criticise.
