Thanks for making this video. Unfortunately for any high pressure compressor, it’s just a matter of time before you, or the manufacturer, or someone, will have to rebuild them. Just the nature of the beast.
What is that white thing top of the motor? I got one similar one, but it don't have that white thing.. also it has one "black Box" where all wires go and inside is circuitboard with relays and now that has burn and can't find a replacement part for it.
Not bashing, appreciate you sharing. But one question... Why are you taking the compressor head apart to replace the electric motor? This unit has an exposed crank, just loosen the main-bearing and take the motor off.
Rick Halverson Hi Rick, I took the head apart to show anyone that might be interested that it’s nothing to worry about and is actually quite a simple task, if I had of thought more about it I would have taken the top of the head off as well, there’s a small reed valve in there which is the non return valve for the high pressure end, and that would also have released the water jacket, but it was just a spur of the moment decision to record it as I couldn’t find anything on UA-cam. Thanks
Hello friend, I'm from Brazil can you help me? My Young Heng compressor turns off by itself, takes about 10 seconds and turns off can you help me? thanks
Good job sir. As I was taking my compressor a parts a pice fall down and didn't know where it came from ,so there for when I put it back together it don't build any pressure. The little part look like a little piston copper made with a spring and a small oring. Do you have an email so I can send to you a picture of it?
Hello, am I supposed to put some kind of o ring, rubber washer or little metal type washer behind the bleed off valve? I put one of the green washer/o rings in there and I heard a small pop and lost all compression. That little green ring pretty much disintegrated. What am I doing wrong?
Sembo, when i turn my pump on it sounds like it is trying to start pumping but kicks the 20amp circuit breaker. Its a 110amp, all valves open at start, no extension cord to outlet. Any ideas what the problem could be? cheers...
Try a 30 amp circuit breaker. I had to plug mine into where my washer is, only 30amp fuse in panel. I believe the sticker on the top says it's 110/30amp.
SAMBO where do you go for replacement parts ? I've got a Vevor compressor from EBay need emergency high pressure release valve ( screw). Looks just like a Youngheng.
My compressor over heated because I didn’t see that the water was being circulated then it started smoking, now it won’t compress any air, I replaced the 2 gaskets and made sure there wasn’t a leak in those 2 spots but it still doesn’t compress the air any ideas on what else could be leaking?
Hey everyone. I Have had mine for a year now and only problem was the switch. Had to order a new one for about 6 dollars . been working ever since. I fill a 90 ci bottle and 2 scot 30min bottles about every week. Oh i paid 193.00 for it on ebay.. Havent found another for that price since. Was surprised that I got it.
Hello good day, I have a question, I had to replace the block that the pressure gauge sits on and that the high pressure hose attaches to for filling but after the replacement I keep getting a leak where the metal high pressure line, that comes from the head, attaches to the block. What did you use to seal this? I hope what I said made sense, at 4:34 in the video you're taking it off the block.
Jason Etter Hello Jason, there should be a washer with rubber inside it if I remember right, you should have a spare one that comes with your compressor. Failing that put some PTFE tape (plumbers tape) round the threads, that should sort it out! Hope you get it sorted!
Jason Etter it could be leaking from the burst disc and blowing onto the other fitting, I had the same but in reverse! Only way to know for sure is put some soapy water round each fitting. All the best
@@sambocotton5868 I didn't think Of that, thanks man. I just filled two hatsan Galatian cylinders and it filled but a bit slower. I'll try the soapy water 👍🏾
My Yong Heng compressor failed after just 3 top offs from 2000psi to 3000psi. Now it leaks air terribly somewhere, and I took the lines lose and a spring loaded check valve or some type of valve flew out, and I can't figure out which way and where it goes. I think the blow out disc may have ruptured, but any help getting this thing put back together would be greatly appreciated.
there olny three ways it could burn up a motor that fast over heating wich cause motor bind and wearing out of parts. No or bad oil. The third is out of the factory motor bad. I do no that a lot of people do forget this is water cooled if the pump stoped it wasn't cooling it down. The number one thing that this need pumping cold water and fresh oil. Hope this helps. I work with compressor share a shop. Tip for when its running again
Buy a compressor of these at 220volts, use it once and now part with difficulty and it works for a minute and stops as if it lacked strength not that it could be....
delboy Good luck mate, I would have thought it would have hydro locked it and failed spectacularly but hopefully it will be ok as that didn’t happen👍 let me know how you get on!
@@sambocotton5868 hi mate drained off the excess last night and only about 50ml over fill, the rattling noise was from the fan at the back which has came loose and lost a propeller, guard in place so I'm assuming its just a poor quality part that failed?? should be in warranty and an easy fit.hopefully all will be ok.
I’m having a problem with mines building pressure. The first time it happened it wouldn’t fill my rifle up after I had used it earlier that day. I tried for 5-10 minutes and then I gave it a break. I tried it again 2-3 hours later and it worked fine, now it’s not working it appears that the hose gets stiff from the pressure and then you see the hose relax as if the air is escaping. Do you have any idea what that could be? Please help Thanks
M.O.E Hello, it’s unusual to have an intermittent fault like what you describe when it comes to building pressure, usually it either does or doesn’t build pressure, or it gets to a certain pressure and won’t go past that point! The only thing I can think to try’n trace the fault is mix up some soapy water and apply it to all the fittings with a small paint brush whilst it’s running, that’ll show you if there’s a leak externally! If not then take off the ally second stage block and have a look at the high pressure piston/rings, sometimes this piston will be hitting the head slightly which can cause the first stage piston to cave in, I machined 12 thou off the bottom of my brass second stage piston where it fits to the first stage cause I noticed it was hitting it slightly! Hope you get it sorted, let me know how you get on! All the best
sambo cotton Thanks for the reply. I sprayed it today with soap and water mixed and I also took the top off. It didn’t seem to be hitting. I’ll try the paint brush maybe that will work a little better than spraying it. When I turn it off I hear a long hissing sound that sounds like it’s internal.
sambo cotton my compressor looks slightly different than yours I don’t have those hard lines and I only see one check valve on one side and the filter on the other side. Is it suppose to be something in the hole before the filter screws in?
M.O.E Ah I see, so the escaping pressure that’s sounds like it’s coming from inside is probably a bad seal as I believe all the pipes are internal on the type you have!
Christopher Villiers Yeah, that’s quite worrying aye! This one has got it luckily but safety doesn’t seem to be much of a priority by the look of it I’m afraid 😳
Erik Viktor Hello Erik, I have read somewhere that to change the second stage piston rings you have to heat the piston in hot water so it softens the rings and expands them, then the same to put them on, heat with water and expand them with long nosed pliers and then chill the piston to contract the metal, once on Mould the rings with your fingers and carefully feed them into the bore! This is just what I have read somewhere, I’ll try’n find the article when I get back later! All the best

Probably only a goosed capacitor as that will prevent the motor starting and cause overheating.
