@@sambocotton5868 Yes I think you nailed it on the head. I now think that my tiny reed valve was installed a bit sideways in China. It does not even have a guide notch on it! Who would do that? Thermodyne Systems Haha yes your right there, idiots....thank god you’ve got Trump to sort em out we need him over here!!!!! In the mini head there’s another reed valve also that you get to by carefully pushing out the plug (from where the final high pressure air comes out the top if that makes sense?) basically the other side of the reed valve inside of the mini head! I didn’t even think about that when I did the video and I haven’t even used it much since either as I found an old 60’s Siebe Gorman divers compressor that used to have a 4 stroke Clinton engine fitted but I put a single phase electric motor on it and cleaned out all the check valves and made up a stainless manifold for the output and it works great, not as fast pumping but it’s made properly and I don’t have a constant adrenaline rush when using it like I do with the Yong heng dangerous PITA cheaply made widow maker 😳 .......😆😆😆 All the best!
I know this has been two years ago but I just found your channel and watched this vid great vid sir . I’ve got one I’ve had two years and it’s a great little pump but you have to take care of it keep it cool is the main thing don’t Run it over 30 minutes. And I take mine apart every 3or four hours and clean it up like your doing know . Believe it or not they are making them a little better now than then . Great video sir thank you I thought I was the only one that does this . Most people just bitch about it and throw it in the trash when it don’t work
I had the same o ring fail on my check valve. Your video and the extra parts that came with the unit should save the day. I found out we should be using a Diester oil for these compressors.
I was scrolling through your videos to see where you might have done a tutorial on the installation of the hour gauge on the yong heng compressor but did not see it. Can you advise me of which video and part and location acquired the hr meter. Thank you for this video I just so happen to see it pop up and immediately checked it out.
ABSOLUTELY GREAT VIDEO "MATE" ! Thanks for the detailed description of every move you make (sounds like a song doesn't it?). It has been very helpful in repairing , maintaining my HY compressor. I would like to add that I have had mine running for over 3 years now without any problems on the same oil in tropical conditions. I have added extra air cooling of the air pipes cooling, always use cool water, have added a little bit of oil to the water to keep the alu parts from corroding. I had a major incident which could have been catastrophic when I accidentally forgot about the compressor running and when I remembered it was the pressure was at around 12.000Psi !! Compressor was still running, no damage at all but I had to change the regulator as the pin tended to get stuck as it must have been stressed by the over-pressure. It was the only time I left the compressor alone and I learned the hard way. On the other side of this experience it was amazing that nothing bad happened and that the compressor held out. Only now, months later an air leak appeared at the cylinder but it was still pumping the tank up to 4000Psi ! I decided to give it major maintenance and that's when I discovered a 2d leak the longer output air pipe. This may have happened when I took it apart as it may have become brittle over time although I was very careful not to stress it. I have ordered a set of replacement pipes. I might also add a little oil cooler with a 12 v pump as I noticed the oil tends to get quite warm. I normally compensate for this by putting a cold wet cloth over the casing and changing it whenever it gets hot or dry. Your video gives me the little detailed maintenance tips I need to do the job right. many thanks and keep up the great work.
@@schlomoshekelstein908 NO idea but it did so and held out !! But that's when the main problems started. When I did a refill months later I found the new regulator stuck. Then about everything that could possible fail started to fail on the air gun and hardware. So, I did pay a high price for the overpressure after all.
Mine was burned out straight out of the box. Mine's not yong heng, its morphon. But it's the same compressor. They drained the oil before sending it to me but not well. The residual oil that was left was black and smelled like it was scorched. I filled it with fresh oil, hooked it up to a bucket of water and fired it up. It heated up and the temp steadily rose up to the upper limits so I shut it off and just that little bit of running turned the fresh oil tar black. I replaced the oil with fresh oil, filled the bucket with ice water and replaced the water pump with a more powerful one and tried again. The same thing happened. They gave me my money back and wanted me to pay to ship them the compressor. I refused and wrote a bad review on amizon. They contacted me and said I could keep it if I remove my bad review. I removed it thinking I would rebuild the compressor. I just went back to the scuba shop instead. All 7 of my scuba tanks and my 2 scba tanks are empty now and covid has shut down the scuba shop, so it's looking like I'll be rebuilding that pos compressor now.. thanks for posting your videos this the most info I have been able to find on them. Were you able to get it back running? Did you hone the cylinder and replace the piston rings after separating them? Does it matter?
Quick question, I filled my tank to 4500psi and I mistakenly closed the valve on the tank before turning off the compressor or releasing the air from the drain screws and now my Yong Heng compressor blows air out of the black oil fill cap instead of the fill hose, do you have any idea of what the issue could be I would really appreciate it ,TIA
Hi Sambo, excellent strip down guides. I have a Yong Heng copy that’s worked perfectly for along time, but has now started to leak out of the oil breather (the black filter that sits on the oil sump) the pressure starts to drop on the compressor once it’s stopped and then starts to blast air out of the oil breather. do you have any ideas? Take care. Andy
Better than the non existent manual. Mine is pumping hot air out the intake filter and wont build pressure. I replaced the blown out gasket, but that didn't solve the issue. The big reed had no obvious issues. Mine has. About 3hrs on it. Odd part is everything worked fine the last time i used it. Dumped the pressure off the two dump valves before turning it off.....
Hey sambo!! Hope all is well. It seems I can’t find much help troubleshooting my Yong heng. It had served me well for 2 years , but unfortunately it had failed me today. I have no idea where to start or what to replace. Both air chambers are holding pressure, but it just won’t go past 1500psi ( I usually fill my 100cu 4500 guppy tank , all the way to 4500. Never had a problem until today ) I do notice of a crank close the release valve (with a bit of force from a wrench) on the second chamber it will climb to 2000psi but if I hang tighten it will fall back to 1500psi and just float there running. I don’t know what to do. I can’t fill my tank anymore. Any help would be appreciated. I’m prepared to take apart, but I have no idea what to replace or look for , like I said.
I haven’t been able to personally open one. But if you do. Keep the removed parts organized or he’ll record the process keep the video to go back to. An go in it looking for any leaks bad orings ect. Been if it’s not known you may cross something that just don’t seem as it should be
Sir your videos are the best Ive seen on this compressor may I ask you a question if I purchased the kit to install auto shutoff into my compressor how difficult would it be ?
After I removed the screws I could not seperate the high pressure top from the cylinder head . I wanted to check the bottom of the high pressure top and pump rod attached to the piston. It sure was stuck and would not budge. Any suggestions.
AirGunner SC Try giving it a gentle tap with a wooden or rubber mallet it’s probably just the gasket between the barrel and cylinder head that’s stuck!
Hello. I love your videos about the Young heng compressor. I did a maintenance session on mine which happens to be identical but since I did the maintenance by the book I get no compression or high pressure air ouput. I dismanteled it 3 times and redid the maintenance checking during every phase doing so. but stil no high pressure air output. I noticed no damage, did the reassembly following your video but to no avail, Any ideas what could be wrong? I have a hint that it might be one of the check valves that is not stopping the air from returing into the cylinder. Any other ideas? Could you maybe produce a video about what to look out for to avoid this kind of problem? Keep up the great work!
Sambo, use distilled water instead of tap water for cooling your compressor. pour 2 gallons into your bucket. To cool the water, freeze some water bottles filled with whatever water you like. But since the frozen water is contained inside the water bottle, it can't contaminate the distilled water. Just toss the frozen water bottles into the bucket with your distilled water. When finished, you can reuse the distilled water. Since the process for distilling involves turning the water into vapor, then re-condensing it back into a liquid form, it's free of minerals. You will have zero corrosion or mineralization inside of the water chamber. Just a suggestion, but a cheap and easy fix.
Trinity Maker That’s a great idea, thank you! when I finally move to a new house with more workshop space so I can leave it set up, that’s what I will do ;0) All the best
The video is great! Thanks. I just received my YH today. It runs, but builds 0 pressure. I get a good hiss out of the hose untill I connect it to my tank. I’ve checked all fittings for leaks and the bleeder valve is closed. Any suggestions?
David Jones Hi David, have you tried putting soapy water around the fittings with a small paint brush whilst it’s running? This will show up any leak that’s impossible to find when it’s going!
Try keeping your tank valve closed until the compressor reaches the same pressure as what's left in the tank. Then open the tank valve and continue running the compressor.

Wow, thanks for this video. I searched for help with my yh compressor. Got 2 scba 45's, and today the pressure didn't seem to build beyond 3k. I have the molecular cive, as you do, but opted to remove it for the small filter straight line try. No luck! I noticed some oil seeping down from the black fin at high pressure section of the yh unit. Do you think my issue is the rings???
bomberxt That’s a good idea! Do you chill it with ice or is the tank big enough keep it running cool for the amount of time you’re running? I tried using a Tig welder torch watercooler with antifreeze in it but it was hot I’m my workshop and the cooler was already 30 degrees Celsius, so when switched it on the temp of the compressor actually went up before I even fired it up. I stopped it when it got over 50 as the temp was rising fast but maybe I should have given it a little longer as it might have stabilised. I video’d it so might just put it up! Thanks for your comment
Well it was just a suggestion to try and stop the corrosion in the water jacket you are having, I don’t use a bucket/tank myself I use a sealed (well semi) radiator with fan system I built, similar to a car cooling system only in miniature. It’s fitted directly to the compressor so it’s all one unit. It is not as efficient as the bucket of water system but a lot more convenient and only used for top up, for filling of say a 3ltr air tank from empty I need to let it cool down from time to time.
@@sambocotton5868 I use Royal Purple ROY01600 PURPLE ICE SUPER COOLANT in the water and a little antifreeze. Also try to lower the PH of the water if it's alkaline.
I also use the Royal purple coolant and I swap those little cooler ice blocks from my freezer. I've only got 30 minutes on mine. Thanks for a peak into my near future!
Thinking about buying one of these. Has anyone used some antifreeze to help control the corrosion on the aluminum ports. It would not take much to prevent that corrosion.
Good on ya' Mate...can you provide a link to where you got the dual cylinder filters over by the fireplace? It seems quite important to add them in line before the air gets to your tank!!!

Is your pump a 220v model or the 110v ? I see you have three rings on second stage piston and my 110v only has two rings and a empty groove on the bottom. Customer service told me that they didn’t put three rings on the 110v and only on the 220v and I was wondering if that was true. Thanks
Kenneth Chappell Hello Kenneth, sounds like BS to me.... if there’s three grooves there should be three rings (my opinion of course) but I’m no expert!!! Mine by the way is 240 volt, but the 110 volt should be just as powerful. All the best
Thanks I appreciate it. I thought the same thing about the rings and I have been thinking about getting a new piston with three rings since it is so easy to replace them. Also going to be putting magnet in the case cover behind the rubber “gasket” for the metallic material that slowly destroys the HP seals and rings. Many thanks for your time and keep up the great work
I have. The seller asked me to send a video of it running while I soap fittings. I have done that. No Leaking. I feel air in the front, I assume it’s the cooling fan. Hoping for an easy fix.
Hey do you know where I can order parts for my compressor I strip out the nut the holds the air tube to the block. I had a small leak and was changing the o ring
Lennard Kong Hi Lennard, yes it works very well, but since I fitted the small filter in between it I haven’t seen any moisture in it at all, but that’s just with a ten minute run, I’m sure with a longer run that would change!
weweko kowe Hi Weweko, heat is a byproduct of air being compressed, and all Compressors will get hot! But if there’s any low flash point petroleum based lubricant present it can and will ignite causing dieseling which is exactly how a Diesel engine works, the high compression of air is the ignition source and also the source of oxygen needed to support the combustion! Thanks for your comment
@@jackagain8346 how well does it work for you? I also us a zinc additive in my oil as no synthetic or regular oil as i understand has zinc in it anymore.

Jeronemo Cherikowa Hi Jeronemo, thanks for the comment! the only trouble with stainless steel is it’s a poor conductor of heat! So wouldn’t be able to get the heat away from the high pressure piston to the cooling water quick enough ( in my opinion), which could make it burn up! for other parts though it would be great! There’s NO WAY you ever want to risk your life breathing in the rubbish toxic air from this cheap Chinese junk!!!!! Yes it’s ok for your air rifle if your extremely careful with it, but never ever breath air from it.....😳😬😵🥶😱 All the best
Anyone know of a good food grade synthetic oil to run for the best possible output of breathing air? Picked everything needed up and two of the big tri filters to run in series to clean any moisture/oil or smell the best possible. But theirs got to be a good quality oil more geared to breathing air compressors some of you use huh?
Cure for all the regular messing about is to buy the regular hand pump set it up on a cam like a steam engine cylinder and run it at a slow speed. reliability one hundred percent. life span for ever. servicing a few drops of oil on moving parts every few months.
Hi.. I have a generic one .. but mine does not build pressure.. well barely.. I tightened all the hex nuts.. burst disc is still good.. but just can't get the burst sound when I about to turn off the compressor.. there's air coming out..though... I always here it all the time but not anymore.. any idea?
Anthor Castillo Hi Anthor, I’m sorry I don’t really understand what your trying to get at? Can you be a bit more specific. I get it’s not building pressure properly and you’ve tightened all the nuts and the burst disc is good, but you’ve lost me with the rest I’m afraid.

I disassembled all the tubings and retightened all the hex nuts.. but still no luck.. ...(.about bleed valve )on left side it has that loud burst sound when I loosen the screw.. the right one doesn't.. but there's an air coming out..
Anthor Castillo Hi Anthor, sounds like the green seal on your last check valve has broken up and blocked the air passage on the bleed valve, the exact same thing happened to me! it may also have blocked up your pressure gauge. Can you make a video of it running and point out the problems?
Mine is doing the same thing. pull the head and check the piston mine the second stage came apart and broke the top of piston for 1st stage. pcp mart has pistons

AirGunner SC Has the little shutter that can be used to regulate the pump flow (on the pump) closed up ? or maybe the pipe is kinked/pinched somewhere ?
@@sambocotton5868 Thank you for the reply. That's not the problem . There is a full stream coming from tle pump and through the hoses. I am using your video to do a top end build and will look for the problem as I do the work. Am I wrong thinking the water has a unobstructed path through the compressor? I'm thinking there may be debris blocking the water passage.
I bought that compressor (at 220volts) and use it only once 35 minutes approx. After I turn it on and it loses strength does not last even 2 minutes and stops alone... I could be hoping you'll help me 🤷♂️🤷♂️
It surprised me that I am able to hear a hissing sound at the hose end after reading how loud they are. It is a small amount of air that can almost be stopped with a finger. The YH is no louder than my small 120 psi compressor.
Lance Weyrich Hello Lance, yes I’ve had a couple go as well, you should have 4/5 spare burst discs that came with your compressor. You’ve got to be very careful putting the new one back in because my one was loose and kept falling out, in the end I tipped the whole compressor up 90 degrees (vertical) to make sure the olive piece that holds the disc went in properly cause I buggered one up screwing it in without realising it and the disc had fallen out!!!!! All the best
Hello sir. very nice video. My English is not very good. the safety valve with a red cap and a ring? left side. Could you explain to me how to use it? Thank you and good day. Django from Belgium.
TheDjango1 Hello Django, the safety valve is there to stop the first stage from over pressuring you don’t have to do anything to it, it’s just a simple valve held shut by spring pressure and if the pressure goes past the preset it will lift off its seat to vent it! All the best 🙂
Your not alone with problems with yong heng, mine is basically brand new have filled 2 90ci bottles to 4000psi that’s is high as it would go, filled them 3 times so that’s 6 bottles And it shit out on me last night. Can only get 2000psi now if I’m lucky. I thought I was being smart and saving money I should have gone with the likes of the one Crosman released or even the air Venturi
Vinny C Hi Vinney, sounds like you’ve developed a leak somewhere, maybe switch it off when it gets to the point it won’t charge anymore and look closely at at the pipe fittings and burst disc nut, might need nipping up a bit! Hope you get it sorted, let me know how you get on
sambo cotton well no leaks anywhere to be found, even sprayed a bit of soapy water around and nothing back to square one!!! Maybe a different compressor this time.
Vinny C Take the head and barrel off and have a look at the piston rings. Some people have had the low pressure piston bashed in where the high pressure piston is hitting the top of the head,(Will Roman done some videos on UA-cam) ua-cam.com/video/0KvAZBrPmu8/v-deo.html Mine was slightly tapping the head so I removed the brass second stage piston and machined 12 thou off the bottom of it ( the face that makes contact with the first stage ally piston when their screwed together ), if that makes sense! Or try taking off the two high pressure stainless pipes and switch it on, you should have some serious draught coming outta the top of the cyclone separator, if so put the next pipe on and trace where the problem lies. Let me know how you get on, good luck!!!!!
Hello, ive bought one of these and after just 10 charges of my fx impact mk3 the pump won't compress at all.. typical ch**ese crap, but air is escaping from the first stage safety valve.. that red capped valve on the left ..i ordered a spare from the internet but as there is no information on the rating (pressure) of the yong heng one I have no idea if the one I ordered is the correct pressure, and it blows off even more !!! i think it was rated at 175 psi ..so the question is why does the safety valve blow, Im pi**ed off that after just 50 minutes of run time over 10 days its allready junk..and planning to get a ful refund..the importer doesnt have any spares !!! nice so they are just as bad...however looking at the videos I have seen it looks like the only solution to filling your own gun directly is to buy a chinese one and nurse it continously repairing it every 50 minutes !! Has anyone had this 1st stage failure ? and what was the cause ? as no one else makes a decent afordable compressor under 2500 euros (yes im in france) li looks like ill be taking it apart constantly to repair it .. colin
looking at the aluminium corrosion maybe we should be using good quality antifreeze or coolant inhibitor . I have always drained my cooling pump after use .. maybe it would be better to use an inhibitor , My 20 year old VW Caravelle water pump and cast iron cylinder were spotless after over 200,000 miles I use the best quality antifreeze .and there is no sign of any corrosion or rust .
Sambo, I have a question that's got me bewildered regarding these Yong Heng compressors. I was following along with your video and when you split the head and removed the upper part of it ( around the 11:40 mark) I noticed that the reed valve is totally different than the one I saw in another UA-cam video that I watched. In that one he also has a Yong Heng and tears it down. I was under the belief that they were all the same design other than voltage, safety shut off options, etc., but now I see there are other differences as well i.e. the reed valve. If you wouldn't mind and get the time could you possibly watch this video ( ua-cam.com/video/OUYiseEmENA/v-deo.html). It starts at about the 4:00 minute mark with the head removal. I'm curious to see what you think about the differences. Both of your videos are from around the same date so I'm thinking they are both about the same age. Thanks a bunch my friend!
Thomas S Hi Thomas, I’ve watched the video you sent the link to, and it’s exactly the same principle but the reed valve is just a disc with a small hole in it instead of a specially shaped one! ( which will probably last longer) When the piston descends the pressure from the first stage already waiting in the pipe opens this disc filling the second stage cylinder, and when the piston comes up on the compression stroke it it forces it shut and opens the other reed valve in the top of the head forcing that one open and allowing the high pressure through, and again when the pressure is past that disc it forces it shut! (hope that makes sense)I should have taken the whole thing apart, you can push the whole valve assembly out, its just sitting in the head sealed with a couple of O rings. All the best
dude i spent an hour and a half trying to remove that piece of shit little plastic seal, the hose crushed it completely flat and i couldnt get any air out of the pump, it'd go straight to 4k psi and shut off. I didn't even put a new one back, not even sure why it's there to be honest, the dowty seal should seal everything just fine.
sorry but pcp air guns are just a big brother to the muli pump air guns...just look at the aspen pcp air gun...you can pump it up...pcp air guns oh here is a 400 dollar gun but you will need a 1000 dollar air compressor and a 500 dollar air tank...what a joke

Great job on showing how to break this down..thank you for making this..may i suggest using synthetic grease on the seals/o-rings next time..
Your welcome Erik, I’m glad it helped you! All the best, Mel
3 years is what you meant? has to be...how did it get to 12k psi without blowing a burst disc?
Do you have a pressure gauge able to read up to 12,000 psi?
@@schlomoshekelstein908 Yes and i have a picture showing the prussure on the gauge but how do I show it here???
@@schlomoshekelstein908 NO idea but it did so and held out !! But that's when the main problems started. When I did a refill months later I found the new regulator stuck. Then about everything that could possible fail started to fail on the air gun and hardware. So, I did pay a high price for the overpressure after all.
Very good break down of the unit and all of the internals. Now I'm not so afraid to work on mine if it ever needs it.
Glad you liked it. All the best!
Take care. Andy
Great video. Mine still works great but this will prompt me to tear it down and do a cleaning/check. Thanks
Been if it’s not known you may cross something that just don’t seem as it should be
Outstanding video mate.
Thank you,
Patrick B from socal.
Sir your videos are the best Ive seen on this compressor may I ask you a question if I purchased the kit to install auto shutoff into my compressor how difficult would it be ?
Thanks for the video, great stuff, being able to see the inside workings...
Steven Kjeldgaard Your welcome Steve, glad you found it useful
I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that you and EVERY YONG HENG owner buy 2 or 3 of these "O-RING" rebuild kits on ebay or amazon before you need one again and YOU WILL. MY error was my cooling water was scolding hot since it was 114 F. out today. While I was knee deep in dead varmints and the hunting was GOOD. Here's the funny part. After rebuilding my compressor it now works 35% faster and is way more powerful!!! Gets to 4000 PSI twice as fast. Makes me think I inadvertently fixed a factory defect of some kind. IT REALLY KICKS ASS NOW!!! This goes down in my memoirs as the first ever case of "IF IT WORKS GREAT, FIX IT AGAIN JUST FOR THE HECK OF IT". Note: I am glad I was using an expensive high quality crank case lub like my Mobil 827 Rarus synthetic lubricant. The 827 rarus saved the whole compressor from guaranteed Armageddon. The main reason I say this is I have at least 100 hours on this compressor and the top of the tiny piston looked very clean. My older Yong Heng which was beyond repair used number 46 hydraulic fluid and it's great if you want to start a carbon manufacturing plant! Please please please, if you can read this post use only Mobile 827 Rarus crank case fluid!!!! Keep the fill level about 1 or 2 mm over the red dot since during use it goes below the red dot. THE RARUS 827 LUB REALLY ROCKS!!! I always thought a lub was a lub if you changed it often enough. I learned the hard way, not a cheap way to learn!
@@WINDGENEERING Thanks!. Great info. How frequently do you change the Rarus oil?
Hi David Jones,
I have the same problem with mine. No pressure build? Have you fix yours?
Any suggestions?
Thanks in Advance.
Hi, I use car coolant/antifreeze in the cooling system rather than just plain water and it seems to works well.Great informative video by the way !
stops the corrosion!
bomberxt That’s a good idea!
Well it was just a suggestion to try and stop the corrosion
in the water jacket you are having, I don’t use a bucket/tank myself I use a sealed (well semi) radiator with fan system I built, similar to a car cooling system only in miniature. It’s fitted directly to the compressor so it’s all one unit. It is not as efficient as the bucket of
water system but a lot more convenient and only used for top up, for filling of say a 3ltr air tank from empty I need to let it cool down from time to time.
Hi, great video, where would I get a replacement check valve ( start of video) if needed, have checked aliexpress without any luck, thanks.
what if the compressor cannot build up pressure
It appears these units require distilled water for the coolant.
Have problem whit mine, gon bad fast, dont build pressure over 200bar now. Any idé?
Good on ya' Mate...can you provide a link to where you got the dual cylinder filters over by the fireplace? It seems quite important to add them in line before the air gets to your tank!!!
hepotter43 Thanks Mate, I Hope this link works, I did talk about these filter towers on one of my other videos, part 7 I think check it out ;0) All the best!rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263396886637
It’s not the same firm I got my filter towers from, I don’t think they exist anymore!
No paper gasket under the lower reed???
Many thanks for your time and keep up the great work
Got a leak on the fill hose then the bottom of the cyl no pressure. Used 2 days
Jon Adams Haha yes, they certainly do keep you busy with spanner work!
I have. The seller asked me to send a video of it running while I soap fittings. I have done that. No
Leaking. I feel air in the front, I assume it’s the cooling fan. Hoping for an easy fix.
Hey do you know where I can order parts for my compressor I strip out the nut the holds the air tube to the block. I had a small leak and was changing the o ring
Aliexperss.com you can get all the parts from there!
Ok
I see you use the coalescing type water separator, do you find it effective ?
Lennard Kong Hi Lennard, yes it works very well, but since I fitted the small filter in between it I haven’t seen any moisture in it at all, but that’s just with a ten minute run, I’m sure with a longer run that would change!
i need help got eater in my rifle give me a clue where to look for faults
I saw a guy who would place a block of ice in his coolant water
Is there any oil or lubricant which would not diesel at all
weweko kowe Would be good aye! if there is, I don’t know about it
weweko kowe Hi Weweko, heat is a byproduct of air being compressed, and all Compressors will get hot! But if there’s any low flash point petroleum based lubricant present it can and will ignite causing dieseling which is exactly how a Diesel engine works, the high compression of air is the ignition source and also the source of oxygen needed to support the combustion! Thanks for your comment
It's more expensive, but if you buy diving compressor oil, that has a much higher flashpoint!
Royal purple makes a coolant additive that very well in a auto radiator. Im going to try it. If it works good i will let it be known :)
dusty boyer Cheers dusty, that will be interesting!
It's called ROY01600 PURPLE ICE SUPER COOLANT. I use it along with Prestone Dex-Cool antifreeze.
@@jackagain8346 how well does it work for you?
I also us a zinc additive in my oil as no synthetic or regular oil as i understand has zinc in it anymore.
hi, i just got one of them, and m making the water of that chaimber a high stainless steel block, to stop building corrosion, and any part it does in future, i'll do the same, and it will ever lasting, cheers brother i seen your vedio thanks for that u just make me thinking about these cheers lad
Thanks, All the best
@@sambocotton5868/ oh thanks for that, so i have to leave it as is somehow, thanks mate,i'm a former retirey carpenter, not so much about metal, m just doing some hobby acually, thanks again for that cheers
I recently bought this compressor for diving but it has oil tastes and its imposible to breathe
Any solution?
There’s NO WAY you ever want to risk your life breathing in the rubbish toxic air from this cheap Chinese junk!!!!! Yes it’s ok for your air rifle if your extremely careful with it, but never ever breath air from it.....😳😬😵🥶😱 All the best
@@sambocotton5868 and with a carbon filter which separates carbon and water from air?
@@jackstone_667 yes the filter is good, but I still wouldn’t risk my life on it to be honest!
About the fins not blowing any air directly at the motor, just bend the fins to do so.
Cure for all the regular messing about is to buy the regular hand pump set it up on a cam like a steam engine cylinder and run it at a slow speed. reliability one hundred percent. life span for ever. servicing a few drops of oil on moving parts every few months.
Sidney Easton You’re not wrong there Sid, damn sight quieter too 😉
I get it’s not building pressure properly and you’ve tightened all the nuts and the burst disc is good, but you’ve lost me with the rest I’m afraid.
cotton sorry I'm a little confusing there... well my compressor pressure gauge is not moving at all..
@@aaronwhite7491 I kinda got tired messin with it .. and got another compressor instead... maybe when in have time later ...I tried the o ring seal.. but no luck .. maybe later on I'll give it a tru checking the piston.. thanks
My water ouyput has slowed to a trickle. The pump is still strong. Any suggestions?
AirGunner SC Has the little shutter that can be used to regulate the pump flow (on the pump) closed up ? or maybe the pipe is kinked/pinched somewhere ?
@@sambocotton5868 Thank you for the reply. That's not the problem . There is a full stream coming from tle pump and through the hoses. I am using your video to do a top end build and will look for the problem as I do the work. Am I wrong thinking the water has a unobstructed path through the compressor? I'm thinking there may be debris blocking the water passage.
Problem fixed. The water channel was blocked at the top of the pressure chamber. Thanks for your great videos.
I bought that compressor (at 220volts) and use it only once 35 minutes approx. After I turn it on and it loses strength does not last even 2 minutes and stops alone... I could be hoping you'll help me 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Does it have an auto-shutoff? If so maybe it's set too low.
@@jackagain8346 not have auto-shuttoff..
22:11 No that just have a very small hole to dampen any fast moving air into it, it should be screwed in tight.
Thank you very much for the information.
It surprised me that I am able to hear a hissing sound at the hose end after reading how loud they are. It is a small amount of air that can almost be stopped with a finger. The YH is no louder than my small 120 psi compressor.
Hello, how do you get the contact info from the manufacture to by parts, and who makes the copy of the Yong Heng PCP
Thanks, I needed that . Appreciate it.
Any news on the replacement fan?
TurbotoTaLL Haha yeah, I tried the new fan and unbelievably it was worse than the original one with strait fins! Oh well back to the drawing board 😉
My disk blew on the top nut now I get no pressure at of it
Lance Weyrich Hello Lance, yes I’ve had a couple go as well, you should have 4/5 spare burst discs that came with your compressor.
Aluminum safe coolant would be your best bet. Hard Water is gonna continue to corrode that aluminium
betchalife Hello betchlife, ill have to look into that, thank you 🙂
Your not alone with problems with yong heng, mine is basically brand new have filled 2 90ci bottles to 4000psi that’s is high as it would go, filled them 3 times so that’s 6 bottles And it shit out on me last night.
Let me know how you get on, good luck!!!!!
sambo cotton I will take a look at that thanks very much for the info will let you know what I find. Thanks
Vinny C Your welcome, look forward to your findings ;0)
Has anyone had this 1st stage failure ? and what was the cause ? as no one else makes a decent afordable compressor under 2500 euros (yes im in france) li looks like ill be taking it apart constantly to repair it .. colin
Where do you get the parts?
Felix Rodriguez Hi Felix, Aliexpress.com sell the parts, luckily I haven’t needed to buy any replacement parts yet!
All the best
Replace those cheap orings with some quality Viton orings, you will be a happy camper. 😁
It's simply a mod fridge compressor technology
looking at the aluminium corrosion maybe we should be using good quality antifreeze or coolant inhibitor . I have always drained my cooling pump after use .. maybe it would be better to use an inhibitor , My 20 year old VW Caravelle water pump and cast iron cylinder were spotless after over 200,000 miles I use the best quality antifreeze .and there is no sign of any corrosion or rust .
gracias 👍
good job thanks dear 💐
9.32. well then. then it must have done 2 houres because i thought i saw the counter on 1 when you installed it :)
👍
Any email where I can contact you?
dude i spent an hour and a half trying to remove that piece of shit little plastic seal, the hose crushed it completely flat and i couldnt get any air out of the pump, it'd go straight to 4k psi and shut off.
