George Michael wrote that sax solo and the music. He said it was his best creation of his career (at least at one point he did). I had the cassette single of this and i wore it out on my little dual cassette boom box (JVC with xtra bass) when i was in college. I just loved the music and his voice and the song was bittersweet. Wow, I just found that same cassette single in a box in my closet. Forgot it was Wham. Had Careless Whisper on one side and Careless Whisper (instrumental) on the other. Not sure I even have a working cassette player now. I am sure it still plays, but all those run throughs probably wore off some of the material from the tape.

George Michael wrote that sax solo and the music. He said it was his best creation of his career (at least at one point he did).
I had the cassette single of this and i wore it out on my little dual cassette boom box (JVC with xtra bass) when i was in college. I just loved the music and his voice and the song was bittersweet.
Wow, I just found that same cassette single in a box in my closet. Forgot it was Wham. Had Careless Whisper on one side and Careless Whisper (instrumental) on the other. Not sure I even have a working cassette player now. I am sure it still plays, but all those run throughs probably wore off some of the material from the tape.

Is it me, or is the younger millennial generation so jaded and full of apathy that so many of them are unable to feel, much less appreciate, the emotion of a song's lyrical content.

So happy for at least finding the amazing George Michael and Andrew that made our youth better......one of the best ballands of all time and it's the ORIGINAL.....an entire generation listen to this wham(as the band called ) masterpiece crying for months over it....

I'm a kid of the 80ies, born in 1970. Sometimes I feel all the good music has already been written. George Michael, and Wham!, are two of my life soundtrack. I terribly miss those years.
No doubt a lot of good music was written back in the 70s and 80s, but good music is still being written nowadays if you know where to look. Sincerely sir, from a 2000s kid🙏
