Hey guys hope y’all enjoyed! This video was put together by my awesome editor while I was away for the convention! Couple things to note is that the quality of the video and all the sudden cuts and stuff is because of how hard it is to record gameplay from multiple people when doing these tournaments since bungie still hasn’t made a spectator option. So it’s not going to be perfect 😢 I had a lot of fun playing this but of course this was all for fun in the end! P.S. if you’re wondering why everyone looked like a noob in the tournament it’s because the setups there were pretty bad with like 5ms delay on everyone’s monitor 😅 so nobody could play how they wanted to
for what it's worth even with the delays and everything the skill ceiling here was so high that 95% of the playerbase would still never be able to reach it lmao
god I wish this game had a cinema mode for matches because it's so fucking chaotic trying to keep track of everything that's happening, especially when there's sudden cuts between players on opposite teams
I wish Bungie would see how excited people are about this and realize that holding actual D2 tourneys would keep hype rolling even when PvP's content is dry. This is stellar to watch.
@justgiyu and pvp doesn't make them any money, that's the biggest issue. They can't/won't dedicate a team to making maps because it "takes away from story content and exotic quests", all things that are paid. What they're missing is pvp is the foundation that keeps paying players playing throughout content droughts and if they let it die the dedicated players who spend money will go as well.
@@zackphypvp could make them money they just don’t put time into it literally got look at d1 and d2 there were actual teams but bungie had 1 tournament and realized they actually gotta fix pvp to have a good future in it and gave up
@@theplanetsaturnlol Bungie doesn't care about the dedicated Destiny players OR the casuals anymore. They're just banking on Marathon taking off. Will be funny af it falls flat when it launches.

For a game with like a none existent esports scene this broadcast was pretty good. I think all it really needed for it to be a goated first round was like an overlay with the overall score and maybe who’s who as I got confused at times near the start.
Tbf the only reason destiny 2 doesn't have esports is because of the consistency of gear. With even small changes in gear changing how a match is won it's kinda difficult to make events like those possible.
@@theremnants6807 yeah I remember in D1 the community were constantly coming up with rules banning certain weapon types because of balancing and it just made the comp scene way to convoluted. It’s a shame cause as shown here this game has amazing gun play and movement but it is what it is I guess

I love this, good players abusing the sandbox up to eleven it’s really interesting to see how some players counter or answer the sandbox with their own style
i feel like the one way they can make a genuine competitive mode or league for the game is if teams share their load outs weeks in advance so that they can prepare for each other and make it illegal to make more than 1 or 2 changes to the original loadout. then reveal the changes as they’re made. that might work well for a league but it definitely would not work for an in game thing
