- The CompTIA A+ certification can be a hard test. This is how to pass. I used this method for both the 1001 and 1002. I passed on the first try and you can too! If you are wondering how to study for the CompTIA A+ you are in the right place. Below I have linked the different courses and materials that I mentioned above:

Nice summary. I find these summaries are a new helpful. Thanks
I passed A+ two weeks ago on first try with 750 on the core 1 and 737 on core 2. Honestly the test was alot harder than I tought it would be becuase of the tricky way they format questions. I also had about 4 pbq's on the core 1 which I did not expect or know about. I felt like I focused my studies too much on very technical specifics like the bus rate of dd4. The test was a little more broader than that and really focused on wireless technology and virtual technology. I would definitely get versed in andriod/ios mobile technology and virtual\cloud. core 2 was also really heavy on virtual tech and windows os. You'll need to really memorize how to navigate windows, get versed in diskpart, msconfig.
Thank you for this
Congrats bro I failed both two weeks ago got 605 on core 1 and 579 on core 2. Been digging in and studying to retake both very soon hopefully this week
@@kissmickd Stick to it! Keep on studying using multiple sources like Dom mentioned in the video is a very good tip. Jason Dion's practice questions are amazing as well.
@@kissmickd study hard and try to take as many different free online exams as you possibly can. Everytime you come across any term you are unfamiliar with jot it down and study it. Keep taking tests until you can achieve a 80% or better. That’s when you’ll be ready.
@@PautKalun Thank you I really appreciate the advice and support
Thank you so much for the advice. I failed the exam a couple years ago and gave up on myself but I'm now fighting to persevere. I hope your methods will help me pass this time!
Did you pass ?
Thanks Dom! I am on the right track according to your video. Keep posting it is helpful
I never heard of the Mike Myers videos. Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much.. I was actually following your directions. I'm on my way to getting my A+

Thank you.
I used the exact same method to great results. Anki is an incredibly powerful tool!
Thank you super helpful!
Great video 💜💜💜
Thank you for a realistic and well planned out method. There are so many variable resources and methods and I get lost in trying to configure a good way to do all of this! I am coming with minimal tech experience and my goal is to get into Cyber Security at some level and work my way up to a remote position. I am beginning my studies and truly needed a tested and methodical way to study, and understand how to approach this material.
Thank you beautiful lady! This was very helpful!
thanks for sharing this
Great info. I start my class in January 😃
I hope it goes well!
Mike Myers is very entertaining, I like his energy .lol
Great info
Thank you 💖💖💖
You’re welcome!
I appreciate the suggestions to incorporate Anki and recommending Professor Messer, thank you
Thank you
Dom , thank you !!! I really appreciate this knowledge and encouragement you give. I just started my studying journey using the Comptia A+ all in one mike myers , now my question is did you use this book or just the exam cram ?
I know her! Hey Dom! Your awesome! great video! Woo Hoo! Lol
Informative
Explanations could get a bit winded, this has reassured me of my taking of the exam with so much material i was worried about cramming for all of it. The resources you have suggested will be of great help and have shed some light on what i may expect.
Saw the last video and immediately jumped into this. I know that the tests change every 3 years. Any insight if they changed it yet this year? Thank you for the free game!! Keep it going gurl!!!! 💪
The new tests just launched last month but the 1001 and 1002 aren’t being retired until October
@@DomsTechChat soo does that mean we have to wait for a new version to come out to test ???
Loved the video! Don't forget to update the name of this video
ugh, thank you ! i wash really about to make a bunch flash cards... idk why i didn't think of a software
Thank you for this technique it seems workable. How long did it take you to study for the A plus using the technique you describe?
Good tips! Thank you
Would you mind giving specific areas that we should concentrate, maybe? I have to start working on getting software down, today :-)
Thanks Dom! How long should I expect to complete my studies and take the exam? Couple of weeks or months?
Always thinking of the Halloween movies when i hear Mike Myers 😅
I’ve recently started back to college and decided to go into CIS. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2013. Some of my classes carry over into the CIS degree field. With that being said, I’ve never been more confused as I am now. Im taking an intro class and we’re going through the CompTIA material. The book has me so confused. It’s like the terms are being defined by undefined terms. I feel like there needed to be a class before this class. I don’t ever remember being this confused and overwhelmed with my previous college experience. Is it normal to be this confused at first?
Do I have to purchase all the courses + Book you mentioned in the description?
Hello Dom. What exam cram book did you use? Is it from David Prowse? Thanks
What do you think about CBT nuggets
Thanks for the suggestion🙏🏾 quick question was studying for my network + at the start of the year because i have been in a help desk roles for two years was doing good until I migrated to the states I had to stop my studies to get settled & adjust now am back on the certification path and I think am just gonna do the A + first before the network what do you think?
Honestly if you’re already in a help desk role I would suggest skipping the A+. Your two years of experience has more of an impact
Where can I take the course to actually get my certification?
Thank you for the video ❤️When do you think the test will expire. I’m starting in January and want to test before June
I want to know as well
Same here I wanna know
Industry experts think it will expire this summer 2022
I've read that since CompTIA A+ 1001 & 1002 study guide series expired in Jan 15, 2022, but there's a 6 month grace period for testing. So Mid July would be the approximate time when the exam tests for the 1001/1002 closes permanently. I'm planning to take it in May/June.
Did your monitor survive the candle?
😂😂😂 yes it did! Trust me I was worried about the same thing
Anyone who has the exam cram book who can share it?
look at this goddess
I Will a hive my tech goals everyone hold me accountable roast me I use it
I had to do Testout PC Pro for a class in college, I passed that course with a 93 overall, but I keep failing the A+ practice tests with scores in the 60% range. It's networking, operating systems and cloud that keep knee capping me. Same thing with Security Pro, passed it with a 96 overall and keep failing the Security+ practice tests in the 55-65% range.
Hi, I just took a class in my school for cyber security that went over security+. The info that they taught us was really general and I had to go a lot deeper to actually get good scores on the practice tests. Before I took my exam, I on average was getting a 90% on practice tests and got a 769 on the real exam. I suggest taking practice exams and using certmaster practice from comptia
you are too gorgeous and I'm about to start A+ because of you!!!
Can I just study them separate ? 1001 then take the exam then study 1002 then exam
Absolutely! That’s what I would recommend actually. Doing both at once is a little overwhelming
I'm seeing a lot of black ppl in tech
