Can’t wait to get mine, but it’s nice to watch and learn as you’re becoming familiar with yours. I’m looking forward to seeing your first flights and your camera set up.
I'm guessing that maybe less than 1% of your viewers own an Inspire 2, while the majority either fly Phantom, Mavic, or Spark...don't stray away from your viewers Billy, always enjoy your tips, videos, and insights
Billy great review of compass and IMU calibration. Looks very similar to other DJI drones but on a much larger scale. You sure do need to hold on to it with both hands. Thank you for the information !😎
Very detailed explanation of the proper method of calibrating the sensors. Well done as always. Have you got used to handling the size of such a large drone?
OK, so I'm guessing you will not be doing the ubiquitous hobby flying drone review range test where you send the Inspire out over a lake and peg the stick forward until you get a low-battery warning then hit the return-to-home and see if it lands in the same spot you took off from, amirite?
The visual positioning system is also pretty important.. A lot of mavic pro users have reported some weird Behavior. Drifting back and forth and up and down.. After the visual positioning system calibration problem fixed.. I noticed if I'm not mistaken in your unboxing they actually give you a portable Vision positioning system calibration tool like they show you on the computer screen on the mavic pro...
Daytona 6263 You're probably right.. But I can tell you I've seen at least 6 videos with the mavic pro when they had a problem with it sitting straight and drifting after doing the IMU, and the compass calibration and it didn't fix the problem... They did the calibration board but they do it through DJI assistant 2 on the computer screen. PROBLEM FIXED EVERY TIME.. There was no warning.. it did not say to do the vision positioning system.. But that's exactly what was wrong and it was fixed.. Remember there was no warning or any information in the app telling Billy to do the compass calibration, or the IMU calibration but he was still having problems.. so by your theory he should have just done nothing.. then when you calibrate the IMU and compass it fixed everything.. There's nothing wrong with doing all three of them, and there's no harm done.. I've done it many times just for practice.. You will usually get those IMU, and compass calibration warnings if something is REALLY WRONG... For instance I turned on my mavic Pro on school a bus just to check my camera settings without flying it obviously COMPASS CALIBRATION WARNING. Telling me to calibrate.. when I moved away from the bus problem gone... Me personally I've done all three of the many times just for the hell of it, maybe I was driving 20 miles, a bumpy ride in the car No crashes, no problems ever.. I probably done about 60 flights now with my MAVIC PRO...
Daytona 6263 It's easy all I can do is just cover your ass.. let's say you go on a 20-mile trip.. or you had a bumpy car or truck.. what's the harm in doing a compass calibration before you fly only takes about 30 seconds.. We're talking about $1, 000 drones here in up.. a small price to pay to be sure then to take a chance crashing your drone I'll overdue a little bit 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.. ;)
Daytona 6263 Also it's also good to practice all three if you know it by heart then you can do it so quickly.. Even DJI said you're better safe than sorry.. and it doesn't hurt when I talk to support..
Daytona 6263 Also I'm a very high techie guy.. I build and fix guitars (guitar luthier), amplifiers, I have my own Studio ( audio engineer, producer, and a musician that plays all the instruments and sings), I'm a certified computer network engineer, I have my own karaoke and DJ business.. I have 30 years of electronic experience.. Etc..... In other words I love doing all the calibrations including the Gimbal, and controller.. IT'S JUST FUN LOL.. I have almost takin the plunge taking apart the MAVIC PRO just for fun for a learning experience... I've been ripping things apart since I was 6 years old lol.. I drove my mother and father crazy... ;)
Hey Billy .. I like your stuff, however, re calibrating the compass the manual for the Inspire 2 and the On Screen instructions are very clear .. after the first “horizontal rotation” for the 2nd phase .. as you rotate you need to point the nose of the copter at the ground and then rotate in that position your 360 degrees .. seems a good idea to think about changing your video .. otherwise, good job !
Hey I need help I gotta problem I got refresh and I just got another platinum but the remote to drone single kinda lags what's wrong with it? Image takes like 2 seconds to respond

My goal is to cover each drone extensively! I will never stray away from the more popular consumer drones!
Thanks I just got my Inspire 2 yesterday and feel it may need it from shipping. Thanks!
Nice. Knew it wouldn’t take you long to master it. You are the man.

It’s awesome!

I would.... rather not
You're a good sport, Billy. Enjoy your work
Great job Billy, thanks for the tutorial, I’m sure it’ll help a lot of Inspire owners!

Isn't the compass supposed to be rotated around a 360 degree axis?
Billy a awesome suggestion for one of your vids is if you do a 15 min movie with the inspire in the beach or in the Caribbean.👍🏻
Very well explained as always. Very professional Billy.
Hello billy Kyle thank you Pro went I se your video. I remember to calibrate IMU my new inspire 2 x5s You are awesome.
Remember Billy Kyle you need to calibrate senser, gimbal in dji assistant and use the calibrate board included in the box.
Great Job , I’ll be using this video when I can finally afford this damn thing lol !!!! Can’t wait to see your videos with this !!!
So looking forward to more Inspire Vlogs just an awsome drone
Hey my friend, I was just wondering if you took the part 107 exam. I was looking to take it myself but wanted to hear some opinions first.
Would you have to calibrate the IMU after a firmware update too?
No need to. Only after a crash or right out of the box basically. Also if you notice the drone isn’t flying properly.
Hello. After updating the firmware, the horizon is a little 🤏 obstructed (tilted). Tell me, is this acceptable?
Your MIC sounds GREAT on your broadcasts …. Thanks for the info but an inspire2 is not in my future unless business picks up.
Thanks again for the tutorials
Nice video billy!
will this help if my camera shows the horizon not being horizontal?
“First we need to take the inspire 2 out of the travel mode” oh ok you finally learned how to do it!!!!!
Any links to buy a used Inspire1 or 2?
great job my friend....may God bless :)

Awesome,thanks for this video
Billy this is soooooo coooool
Cool info 👍
very nice info but I will never be able to get one like that
Save 100 euro per month for a couple of years and you are good to go.
Please do a flight vid
Pro Tip: IMU Calibration before Compass Calibration
What’s the logic behind this?
Thanks for this information. Terrible audio on your voice, then screaming hot music at the end.
Bro ya think you could take it easy on the coffee before doin these videos wtf
Nice Toilet Echo....:\
