Leaning back doesn’t break the feet. Leaning back and pushing downwards while trying to mount the camera is the issue. It’s perfectly fine to tilt it back.
Billy, great video. You can hot swap without that tool. Push the battery release button, take out one battery and swap it with a charged one. Wait 5 sec and then remove the 2nd spent battery and put in the 2nd charged battery. Hot swap complete
Omg im an inspire pilot too but i mean im blown away by the shots!! Its not about camera quality! Its something about how you fly its amazing!! Orbits around the lighthouse whilst climbing in alitiude is amazing!!!!
The flying/filming was impressive, but I think I'm more impressed by the driving skills of that pickup truck driver backing up that trailer at 65mph in the last shot 🤣
Hello Friend. How do you manage to keep the subject in the middle of the frame at high speed? Did you shoot the video alone or was the second operator helping you?
Did you have a second controller working with the filming of these? I can't wait till the day I can fly over moving vehicles. Really I can't wait to get a better drone period.
Useful info about the legs , never saw anything like that in all the Inspire videos I have seen so very helpful. The footage sir was truly amazing, you have a very keen eye. Thanks for sharing. And yes at the 5:40 mark I think I would have fainted :)
Awesome shots, but don't you think it's worth it to upgrade to the x5s or x7? The difference in quality between the x4s and Mavic 2 doesn't seem hugely noticeable especially considering how much more of a pain in the ass carrying around the inspire is. I'm sure someone without a trained eye wouldn't be able to tell even more so. Really awesome edit though!
thanks for the tip and great flying BK! Did you know those people on the speed boat? I'm always afraid to get down that low in people's face. Do you ever hand off the camera duties to anyone?
Dope content!!! I recognized the first few shots because I live about 10 minutes from that bridge! LOL! For all the boat chasing shots, did you have a second person on the sticks to control the camera? Also where were you flying from meaning were you back on land or flying from another boat? It seemed like the drone was way out there. I didn't realize how fast the Inspire 2 can fly! That thing was keeping up with that speed boat! Pretty impressive flying and shooting.
Awesome footage! I especially liked the speed boat chase & the bridge . The smoke stack capture was amazing. Your steady flight around the Stack made it appear that the Stack was actually turning. Great stuff
Love the tip about the legs - I just ordered the Inspire 2 - I will have it in about 2 to 3 weeks - I have the Mavic Pro 2 ( Its a great drone as well ~)
How did you fix it? I have had all the legs break during different landings, in Perth WA I was able to buy the replacement parts and easily attach new legs.
Awesome video, I didn’t see the link for the battery swap out tool, I have a buddy who has a 3-D printer and I could really use that for my inspire 2! How did you come up with the idea for the tool? It looks awesome!
@@billykyle thank you for responding, I was referring to your Inspire 2, but I see you have a X4S on there. Man you're pics and videos are awesome. I have the Inspire 2 with the X5S camera on mines.
My very thought. A good hobby store has all kinds of glue for repair. My fixed wing friends are always repairing their aircraft. It seems to work for them? It sure doesn't look like a major undertaking? Consider the expense of downtime and dollars for transport. Billy, you can do it!
@@kredenzp.5468 They are really tightening up on people breaking RPA laws here in OZ lately, with more inspectors being hired and more infringements being handed out, now Police can issue them too, not just CASA (our version of the FAA) Personally I would not break these rules and lose my licence and Certification.
Wow Billy, your videography skills are top notch! There's almost too much to comment on here. The Sea Doo chase was a highlight, but everything was amazing right down to the slow fade to black at the end.
You always find very interesting places to fly at. Awesome video and great piloting skills on display. I look forward to more of your drone adventures this summer.
The camera quality on my inspire 2 is very poor? Is it because I use my phone( iPhone 12) and not an ipad or something or do I need to get an upgraded camera
Thanks Billy, I was doing the same thing. Do you use free mode when filming or do you use follow? I’m still getting used to he Inspire 2 so I find myself getting lazy and using follow mode.
the solution to not breaking the legs is to store the drone in a flycase where the gimbal can remain mounted, even better to mount folding carbon propellers, so it is always ready to fly
The footage is looking near perfect. Amazing control you can only get with tons of practice! If you decide to get the x5s make sure you pick up a 45mm the footage will go to another level. That watch tower motion was insane by the way.
Always appreciate a fellow idiot who isn’t afraid to admit the stupid things we do without even paying attention. I own a large drone filming company and do all the aerial work for NATGEO and Discovery channels survival shows. We actually issued a safety bulletin to our crews regarding this same issue with the legs when mounting the cameras. We do a lot of lens changes with the x7s system for different shots and one pilot in particular told me the legs on his I2 broke and he had no clue as to how this happened. Well being the guy responsible for paying the bills I of course though he was just landing too hard. I had to eat crow and apologize but in the end it saved me a lot of future expense because we own 120 inspire 2’s
Awesome work there billy have been following you for sum time now and believe this is one of your best so far . You have a great future mate keep up the hard work its awsum. 👍
Awesome video Billy. I am still flying the mavic-pro, haven't had the money to upgrade yet, but like you said, I love the drone and the spark. I don't know where your at, kinda looked like my home in North Carolina. Thanks for takeing the time and effort to make your videos, they are very helpful and informative. Mike in N.C.
Hey Billy, Total Bummer, great tips of what not to do! That’s some outstanding aerial footage, very nice editing and soundtrack. Thanks for sharing, take care!
Great video Billy! Would love to see one that on how to use nd filters along with colour grading explained thoroughly. My two hangs ups with trying to create great drone videos like this one! I currently have the Mavic 2 Zoom as the best in my fleet of drones.
Great little battery switching tool there, i wouldnt mind having one of those at hand. Someone should sell them! If i may, in a lot of I2 videos i see people sort of beating up on their drones pretty good in the way they handle them. And yes it is a solid thing, no doubt, but i always try to land soft and smooth and not just bang it down on the ground. I always hold the drone with my other hand when i switch batteries and stuff, i never push down on it when its stationed on the ground. I never go from landing mode to travel mode when the drone is fully loaded on the ground, i do that by holding it up in the air so not to put unnecessary strain on the whole rig. I know that things can be a bit stressed in a working environment or on set but i do these things anyway, a few sexonds here and there is usually not a problem. Just a few tips and tricks that i have learned from using my I2. Awesome clips in the end, i especially liked that abandonded railway, or road, beautiful sceneries. 🙏🏻👍🏻
Definitely an oversight that someone wouldn’t even think of until it happened to them. Thanks for sharing Billy! Amazing footage! Love the speed of the Inspire..just makes it that much more intense 👍🏼👍🏼

Great tip, I have done the same with my I2 numerous times. No more after seeing this. thanks!
I'm in awe of your flying skills. You're an inspiration to this novice.
Thank you Bob! We all have room to grow.

Billy where is the LED LIGHT settings in the DJI inspire 2 ?? DJI GO 4
Billy, a remarkable work of cinematography with equal editing The music was also spot on. Congrats!
A beautiful bird and beautiful views. What cameras did you use?

Billy. Great photography! When you were filming of the speedboat, what was your top horizontal speed?
About 45-50 mph. Could go a lot faster if I needed to with the Inspire, though.
Doesn't it say in the manual - never hot swap the batteries? I know it does because I read it, but what are your thoughts on this?
