My mom used to take me for tea in a local fancy department store here in USA when I was a young girl. Mom and the store are now long gone but the memories of that special time will be with me forever.💖

Happy Birthday to Nat and hello to lovely Holly ! It doesn't seem right eating scones AFTER the cakes but having them served warm is always a bonus ! I always do cream before jam. The tea room in Harrods looked lovely, much more comfortable than Fortnums. The little bear with the children's meal was so sweet 🧸

Apparently the jam is applied before cream on the scones at the Queens garden parties !🍸🍥🌟
Of course the Queens garden parties put jam then cream ,that’s because it’s the right way,and the Queen should know bless her.🤗☺️

Mooch is the same meaning here in Australia. We do a lot of that after work and on weekends.

Thank you, Hannah! Tea at Harrods looked amazing! My daughter’s birthday is December 13, so I’ve always been determined to keep Christmas and her birthday separate. We didn’t even put up our Christmas decorations until the day after! It’s important to celebrate those you love. And as far as videos from home, for one you deserve some privacy, and for two after last year of course it’s all about being out and part of London at Christmas! You just keep doing you, you’re amazing as you are!

I enjoyed afternoon tea in Harrods ahead of Covid and it was a truly memorable experience. So many people out celebrating and the atmosphere wonderful with a pianist accompanying our copious cups of tea

My Auntie and I went on a 22 day cruise to Hawaii, on a Holland America cruise ship; every day at 3 pm they served high tea. My Auntie and I NEVER missed it.

Glad to see Harrods has improved their afternoon tea. When I was last in the UK I did a Harrods bus tour that included afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was a huge disappointment. I have done arvo tea in many countries. The Langham in Melbourne have a fabulous selection of different themed teas. Best afternoon tea was in South Africa at the massive hotel and casino in the desert a few hours from Johannesburg. Heck forgot the name 🙃...oh Sun City.

Valerie - you're completely wrong! To 'mooch' in the UK means to wander about aimlessly. In America a 'moocher' such as Minnie is a scrounger who's looking to get something for nothing. And the word was around long before the song. Sorry! 🙂

When I attended the University in London during the late 1970’s my friends and I would love to go to Harrods for tea. It was 12 lbs and it was a massive buffet! You could eat all you wanted. I weighed 93 lbs at the time and ate many delicious desserts. A woman commented about how I could eat all those sweets and stay small. It was my age and we walked everywhere! Funny. We really loved it!

One of the (many) things I love about your vlogs is that you go into shops and show us the stuff that is on the shelves, so it feels like we are browsing too. Also, you choose such lovely places to visit, and you never forget to find decent places for refreshments - eating out is a major part of the experience for me. That space used to be the Georgian restaurant. All my childhood my family used to go there for the carvery lunch every Christmas. I think they started that tradition before I was born. Even as a young adult my mum and I still went every year. After she died I couldn't afford it for years. When I finally tried to resurrect it with my friend I discovered it wasn't there anymore, that they'd turned it into a tea room (that was more expensive than the carvery used to be). Not sure why they changed it but it's a shame when something that was there for so many years disappears. Still makes me a little sad seeing the space. Also wasn't keen on the new layout of the toy section and the lack of a decent book section.

Another thing to put on my list for when we can travel overseas again (from Australia). It looks like such a fun thing to do. As for the Scones it is always Jam first then a dollop of cream. My nanna from Yorkshire who made the most delicious Scones would never allow any other way of eating them.

I love all your Christmas Vlogs. It is so nice to relive with you the places that I have often visited in London. Harrods was one of my favorite places. At Harrods in the Food Hall I also bought 2 "Harrods Knightsbridge Food Halls Green ceramic Kilner Style Storage Jar's for Tea". Do you know these jars?

While it is a bit pricey for a special occasion it would be more than worth it. Even though I am a larger man I would want to share with my friend and we each have half and keep back one whole serving of each item to go with us, along with a bag of tea to make to go along with the delicacies. Only thing I would insist on is we had a glass of champagne each to enjoy at the end.
I think you do a great job with vlogging, Hannah. I love seeing the different places around London, that's why I started watching your channel. I'm glad there's vloggers like you willing to share the sights 🙂
