I think that’s something I miss about Harrod’s, F&M, and others. The effort put into shop displays. The prices can make your eyes water but the visuals are absolutely stunning. As you noted, you can always look for free. Thank you for starting the countdown with such lovely things! Very excited to see what’s to come. We’ll decorate here sometime after Thanksgiving (usually that weekend). Hope you have a fantastic weekend, Hannah!
@@HannahRickettsas expensive as they might be, they are definitely not tacky, in fact they are very classy - some Christmas decorations that we see in the supermarkets for example are just over the top tacky
Those were hilariously and absurdly expensive decorations, such fun to see what the other half is up to. Don't get me wrong - they were lovely and festive - but it would cost me a second mortgage to decorate my tree this year. Great start to the seasonal vlogmas :)
As always it was a joy to walkabout Harrod's with you---Christmas never looked better! In answer to your question--Christmas decos go up on Black Friday weekend & go down day after New Year's. The outfits you modeled were wonderful! Can't wait to see your next Countdown to Christmas vlog!❤🎅
Here in the Netherlands we do it after 'Sinterklaas' (5 December) but that tradition slowly disappearing and they start earlier. I am still on the 'after Sinterklaas' team. I love those small traditions also from other countries.
Family tradition for me Christmas decorating starts Thanksgiving evening while you have all the men in the family in one place you can get all of your boxed from the attic and start putting up lights on the outside on Black Friday while all the ladies are out shopping. Then little by little everything is put out by Dec 10.
The decorations were stunning, not those large animals priced over a thousand pounds wouldn’t look at them twice. The little hedgehogs and I love the stars and baubles. Thank you Hannah it helps to get me in the mood.
I am traditional in my Christmas decorations. My favourite ornaments are glass, every year I purchase a couple more for my Daughter and daughter-in-law. Love this video Hannah, excited for more!🇨🇦❤️❤️
I put my Christmas decorations up around the same time as you, about a month before Christmas, sometimes 5 weeks, but never before Remembrance Day. Thanks for taking us along!
I usually wait until a week before Christmas if at all. But in America it tends to be on Black Friday that have seen my neighbors in nice weather putting up outdoor lights.
Just put up my Christmas tree and decorations, I usually wait till after Thanksgiving ,but was just in the Christmas spirit early this year!! Thanks for the festive video, your video's are always great!! Love from America.
I would be overwhelmed by choice if had the budget to shop for Christmas decorations at Harrod’s. In my fantasies I’d live in a large house with multiple trees. A food themed tree in the kitchen, a London themed tree in the hall, a felted animal tree in the library, a glitzy gold tree in the living room…..Ah, I can dream.
Another amazing video...this is now the signal for Xmas over the coke advert. Also can we just say how incredible hanna looked in that final look of the sponsor segment. Bring on the build up to Christmas
We put our decorations up at the beginning of December. We have 3 trees this year - a traditional one, one that is sea creature themed(we live in Queensland Aus 😁) and this year I bought a small tree to do a Harry Potter themed one(nerd alert 🤣). Shame about the roast and it did look good! Love all your videos.
Holy COW!! The rabbit on a swing price….I feel like even if it’s handmade and doused in angel tears, there can’t be a reason for the price other than brand and location. So sad I didn’t make it to Harrods when I was in London two weeks ago. Thank you for another great video that makes me feel like I did go! ❤
Greetings from California. Thanks for filming sharing excellent shopping in London & tour of London videos, Miss Ricketts . Happy holidays from our channel.
Hannah, you beautiful girl. Since I discovered your channel I have loved all your vlogs, but the Christmas ones are the ones I love most. Christmas in London to me were always magical. The beautiful lights, the big store windows that were truly fantastical, the smell of roasting chestnuts, the store Christmas grottos guaranteed to transport any child to the North Pole and Father Christmas. We never decorated until December and I still do that. Loved all your outfits, they really show how much you have lost weight. You are so elegant I can tell you work in fashion. Thank you so much for giving up your free time, to showcase my home town.❤❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹🌹 Thank all those who have served and given so much 11/11.
Yes , so much in agreement with everything you've written. Hannah looks so chic, what an ambassador for London tourism. We are lucky that she decided to do these blogs, especially all of us who live abroad and miss how amazing London can be.
I love your Christmas vlogs, especially when you go to Harrods. You've got me excited for Christmas! I'm going to London next week and can't wait to visit Harrods. I'm American, so I celebrate Thanksgiving and then put up my Christmas decorations.Thank you for all your wonderful and entertaining videos! 🎄🎉
Yay! It’s that time and no one does it like Hannah. Excited. Friday nite, some wine and Christmas in London. I decorate after November 11, Remembrance Day in Canada.
There is something special about Harrods Christmas decorations that is alwatys a nice lead into the season. I must trty and get down from Manchester to see it in person. By the way I thought you looked stunning in the skirt and top outfit. Steve
I enjoyed my adventure with you, I live approx. 60 miles from Las Vegas, so they do a lot of high-end Christmas in the stores on the Strip, I have 2 themes going on for my Christmas trees, one is all Gingerbread, as my hot chocolate/coffee station, and the other is all woodland rustic, a lot of stand-up plush Moose, Squirrels, Bears etc., thank you so much for sharing a beautiful video🥰
Your first Christmas video of 2023 is a 'bougie bauble' of delight! London is getting its festive hat on and your video makes it super jolly! (I get the decorations out on Thanksgiving weekend.) Am noticing more London restaurants and hotels are embracing Thanks-G with trad lunches -- adding to the celebratory vibe. Very cool. Another lovely jaunt, Hannah, thank you!🌟✨👏👏👏
You asked about Thanksgiving. Here in Canada we had ours last month a month and a half before the United States. I have my Christmas tree up and decorated already. The pilgrims landed here in Canada first. The ornaments are beautiful.
I really enjoyed the tour of Harrod's this is the first time I've seen inside I think is a really nice store and I really liked it Thank You Hannah.🇬🇧💖💖🇬🇧
YAY! Hannah has started her Christmas blogs... I can start decorating now. It takes me a month to put everything up (a room at a time) and I enjoy them for a month before taking everything down over a long weekend in Jan. Im also going to hunt out some fancy stores in Melbourne to try and get the London vibe , miss the "Old Country" so much this time of year. The cold weather and darkness for Christmas light magic, F & M., Liberty and Harrods. So thankyou Hannah for all the effort you put into your videos and the time spent out of your day for editing all for our pleasure. By the way, love the ear rings.
My tree is up 😅🎄I thought I may aswel bring it in earlier this year because I wanted to feel the cheer sooner 😊Thanks for sharing I love this store too.
Oh yes, Hannah, you're right, it's a bit strange to see the Christmas decorations in the department store in November, but here in Germany we already have Christmas sweets in the store from September! It's just like that, you have to accept it. and the decoration looks really, really nice but is also really, really expensive. As you say, it is actually best suited as a gift 😉
We call them baubles here in Australia too, Hannah. You are so lucky to live near all those gorgeous stores. I would love to spend a Christmas in London (I was born there so I have a connection!).
The problem with Harrods is that it’s become obscenely expensive, definitely the place where you launder your I’ll gotten gains. I can remember when it was nowhere near as ridiculously overpriced our family would shop there at Christmas without having to take out a bank loan 😂
Great to see you vlogging about Christmas again Hannah! Harrods is always such a wonderful place to start! Thx for getting us in the holiday spirit with this tour of the Christmas Store at Harrods! It always amazes me to see not only the incredible variety of items to see, but such an incredible presentation of literally everything in the store! Thx Hannah for giving us this glimpse of what is yet to come, in your fantastic series of London Christmas vlogs! Have a great week, & I look forward to your next episode!!!
Boujie for days...lol it’s Harrod’s in Knightsbridge ! I wouldn’t expect anything else. Bravo to the decorating artists at Harrods for a remarkable display for Christmas 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎅🏻🎄🌟❄️⛄️
I love your Christmas store videos soooo much ❤ Those displays are AMAZING. The stylists must have a blast putting them together! I put one of my trees up yesterday - it’s Scandi forest-themed 🍄 I would have TOTALLY bought one of those crowns. That way, when people asked, “What did you bring home from London?,” I could tell them, “A crown. From Harrods.” 👑
Good morning from Australia, my Xmas tree and decorations are up really early this year. But iam looking forward to Xmas this year. I love watching your videos and Thank-you for always showing the food and the Xmas ones. 😊👏🎅🎄
Hellolove..i'm not a chricmas woman yet love to watch the coulorfull happy mode around..brings joy n full of heart for the new coming celebration n love listening to your fresh mind..big luck to you..thanks for sharing❤❤
I quite enjoy how excited you get when you are out and about. I hate shopping and have no taste for fashion but I quite enjoy you getting all excited about it all. It is really great to see when you really like something and are happy. You are my Friday night guilty pleasure Hannah keep up the great work! 😁
Love Harrods. I worked in the Christmas card department in the 70s, and then on the customer furniture delivery queries department after that. I loved my time working there, and still have things that I bought when I worked there. It was amazing to witness working on the tills during the January sales too! I have not been back there since then, so thank you for taking us inside. xxx
Baubles, baubles and more baubles. Over the top glorious Harrods, I think I could probably just about afford a tea towel haha. You looked very elegant in the outfits Hannah x
Hannahristic thanks for putting some Christmas spirit in the universe. So fun to see those baubles, but still scratching my head over the posh squirrels. Frankly, they looked pained.
I love the beautiful and entertaining walk through the Christmas decorations at Harrod's, absolutely incredible. I love traditional trinkets but everything is beautiful. excellent video
Love visiting London's high end stores at Christmas. I love Liberty and F&M. This is when I miss home the most. In my home the decorations go up on the 1st of December and come down on the 1st of January. I do put a few trees up and a few are themed. I am loving the outdoor theme and being a chef any food items on another tree in the kitchen. Thanks Hannah, love your easy honest observations.
In Canada our Thanksgiving is second Sunday/Monday in October, so far too early to buy Christmas decorations or display in my home. I decorate first week of December. But stores put up decorations day after Halloween November 1st here. Some shops still have not decorated or started. Cologne and Cotton always has some nice decorations as well as Conran shop. The food you bought looks delicious.
Hannah, nicely done as always. It's nice to have you usher in the holiday season. Btw, I'm not a big fashionista. Afterall I'm a guy :), but I do like the way that cardigan sweater looked on you. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to more holiday blogs. Mike.
Thanks! Hannah @ her FAMOUS LAMP are BEAUTIFUL..Big Ben @ Hannah Ricketts have the prettiest faces in ALL OF 🇬🇧 !! 🎄🧑🎄.... We're looking forward to seeing your EASTER VLOG 🤳 🎥 🐇🐥🐣 🧺..NEXT WEEK 😅
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I'm starting to feel Christmassy - I always do in November. I personally don't put Christmas decorations up until the middle of December. BUT saying that I've been buying Christmas presents for a few weeks. I like to plan ahead and make sure that I'm not buying my family Christmas gifts on credit.
Thanks for sharing Hannah. I will be putting up my Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving. And in London in December to see all that lovely Christmas decor in the stores and on the streets. And yes, I booked my hotel in South Kensington per your recommendation.

Hannah, waiting for your vlog before allowing myself to plan Xmas. Enjoy your day out. cgzone8
🎊🎉 It's not Christmas until Hannah does Harrods 🤩🎄🎁
I thought the rule was "It's not Christmas until Slade's 'Merry Christmas Everybody' plays on the radio."
The advantage of you showing us part of Harrod's Christmas now is no huge crowds. Loved your styling segment!! Beautiful you in beautiful outfits❣️
There's no queues or crowds coz the merchandise is extremely expensive
Those were hilariously and absurdly expensive decorations, such fun to see what the other half is up to. Don't get me wrong - they were lovely and festive - but it would cost me a second mortgage to decorate my tree this year. Great start to the seasonal vlogmas :)

You've got us in the Christmas 🎄 spirit. What amazing choices at Harrods 🤗.
You've put me right in the Christmassy decorative mood 🎄🎁

When we were still living in the UK, I quite often bought a Christmas pudding from Harrods . They are lovely.
Hello. Here in Belgium, it depends. We use to set the decorations after the Sint Niklaas, that's to say after the 6th of December.
I was in Harrods many years ago, but have to say I was somewhat overwhelmed, so much stuff!
I am putting up my tree today!, and watching you!.. Donna, USA Michigan
