- The countdown to Christmas starts TODAY! Come with me on my annual visit to the world famous Harrod's Christmas store. The store has a specific Christmas store that opens from August, selling the finest decorations in the world. This is where the rich and famous shop for all of their festive goodies. Would you pay £2,000 for a Christmas squirrel..?

I think that’s something I miss about Harrod’s, F&M, and others. The effort put into shop displays. The prices can make your eyes water but the visuals are absolutely stunning. As you noted, you can always look for free. Thank you for starting the countdown with such lovely things! Very excited to see what’s to come. We’ll decorate here sometime after Thanksgiving (usually that weekend). Hope you have a fantastic weekend, Hannah!

Family tradition for me Christmas decorating starts Thanksgiving evening while you have all the men in the family in one place you can get all of your boxed from the attic and start putting up lights on the outside on Black Friday while all the ladies are out shopping. Then little by little everything is put out by Dec 10.

Those were hilariously and absurdly expensive decorations, such fun to see what the other half is up to. Don't get me wrong - they were lovely and festive - but it would cost me a second mortgage to decorate my tree this year. Great start to the seasonal vlogmas :)

The decorations were stunning, not those large animals priced over a thousand pounds wouldn’t look at them twice. The little hedgehogs and I love the stars and baubles. Thank you Hannah it helps to get me in the mood.

I am glad I have collected holiday ornaments for decades, couldn't afford these at Harrods now! Possibly one or two that I couldn't live without ?

Our tree and other decorations go up the Friday after Thanksgiving. We leave everything up until January 7 following Epiphany.

Decorations started going up last week. Time change had me thinking I'd like some sparkles around me at night which now starts at 5pm. Loved seeing all the baubles at Harrods.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! I'm starting to feel Christmassy - I always do in November. I personally don't put Christmas decorations up until the middle of December. BUT saying that I've been buying Christmas presents for a few weeks. I like to plan ahead and make sure that I'm not buying my family Christmas gifts on credit.

I would be overwhelmed by choice if had the budget to shop for Christmas decorations at Harrod’s. In my fantasies I’d live in a large house with multiple trees. A food themed tree in the kitchen, a London themed tree in the hall, a felted animal tree in the library, a glitzy gold tree in the living room…..Ah, I can dream.

Holy COW!! The rabbit on a swing price….I feel like even if it’s handmade and doused in angel tears, there can’t be a reason for the price other than brand and location. You asked about Thanksgiving. Here in Canada we had ours last month a month and a half before the United States. I have my Christmas tree up and decorated already. The pilgrims landed here in Canada first. The ornaments are beautiful.

Hannah, you beautiful girl. Since I discovered your channel I have loved all your vlogs, but the Christmas ones are the ones I love most. Christmas in London to me were always magical. The beautiful lights, the big store windows that were truly fantastical, the smell of roasting chestnuts, the store Christmas grottos guaranteed to transport any child to the North Pole and Father Christmas. We never decorated until December and I still do that. Loved all your outfits, they really show how much you have lost weight. You are so elegant I can tell you work in fashion. Oh yes, Hannah, you're right, it's a bit strange to see the Christmas decorations in the department store in November, but here in Germany we already have Christmas sweets in the store from September! It's just like that, you have to accept it. and the decoration looks really, really nice but is also really, really expensive. As you say, it is actually best suited as a gift 😉
YAY! Hannah has started her Christmas blogs... I can start decorating now. It takes me a month to put everything up (a room at a time) and I enjoy them for a month before taking everything down over a long weekend in Jan. Im also going to hunt out some fancy stores in Melbourne to try and get the London vibe , miss the "Old Country" so much this time of year. The cold weather and darkness for Christmas light magic, F & M., Liberty and Harrods. So thankyou Hannah for all the effort you put into your videos and the time spent out of your day for editing all for our pleasure. By the way, love the ear rings.

In Canada our Thanksgiving is second Sunday/Monday in October, so far too early to buy Christmas decorations or display in my home. I decorate first week of December. But stores put up decorations day after Halloween November 1st here. Some shops still have not decorated or started. Cologne and Cotton always has some nice decorations as well as Conran shop. The food you bought looks delicious.

When we were still living in the UK, I quite often bought a Christmas pudding from Harrods . They are lovely.

In the US, many of us start decorating before Thanksgiving ... around mid-November. And Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving, at least it is here.
We have a shop here in Texas, Baubles and Beads resale for women! I bought a vintage Channel jacket, black and white, love it!
I collect the pop up cards and use them as seasonal decor - they're adorable!
I absolutely love to celebrate life in general, so I love any reason to celebrate MORE! And the Christmas season is filled with joyous celebrating so I love to go all in! This year, I’m not able to celebrate in the ways I usually do, so thank you for bringing Christmas to me. May you have a blessed holiday and a happy new year!

We call them baubles here in Australia too, Hannah. You are so lucky to live near all those gorgeous stores. I would love to spend a Christmas in London (I was born there so I have a connection!).
The problem with Harrods is that it’s become obscenely expensive, definitely the place where you launder your I’ll gotten gains. I can remember when it was nowhere near as ridiculously overpriced our family would shop there at Christmas without having to take out a bank loan 😂

I enjoyed my adventure with you, I live approx. 60 miles from Las Vegas, so they do a lot of high-end Christmas in the stores on the Strip, I have 2 themes going on for my Christmas trees, one is all Gingerbread, as my hot chocolate/coffee station, and the other is all woodland rustic, a lot of stand-up plush Moose, Squirrels, Bears etc., thank you so much for sharing a beautiful video🥰

Love visiting London's high end stores at Christmas. I love Liberty and F&M. This is when I miss home the most. In my home the decorations go up on the 1st of December and come down on the 1st of January. I do put a few trees up and a few are themed. I am loving the outdoor theme and being a chef any food items on another tree in the kitchen. Thanks Hannah, love your easy honest observations.

We put our decorations up at the beginning of December. We have 3 trees this year - a traditional one, one that is sea creature themed(we live in Queensland Aus 😁) and this year I bought a small tree to do a Harry Potter themed one(nerd alert 🤣). Shame about the roast and it did look good! Love all your videos.
