    Great project and cause. I just found your channel today by accident and now I'm your newest subscriber. I've never worked with metal before. Have been a little intimidated by it. Thinking about taking a metal class at my local makerspace. Wasn't sure I'd have any desire to work with metal but you've inspired me.

    An easier way to bend the flat bar, you could hold two small round bars in a vice. Would leave no marks on the piece either.

    Really like how you combine the metal and wood in your work. I've never done any metal work. Would like to try that sometime. Nice Job John.

    Carefull welding zinc coated steel, that stuff is toxic when it burns. You can strip the zinc with muriatic acid. Good job btw !

    What did you use to paint the metal and wood ? didn´t catch the name, does it avoid rust ?

    • @John_Malecki

      Metal is a rattle can of metal paint and primer i believe

    nice project, can you tell what's the name of the tool to make the holes "square".

    • @John_Malecki
      @John_Malecki  7 років тому

      i dont think there is any square holes in this project. But you may be referring to the counter sink for the metal holes. they are round, and lets the screw head sit flush

    • @navi16
      @navi16 7 років тому

      Hey, thanks for the response. I made a mistake trying to explain myself. I meant the bit you use in 6:05, to make the holes for the screws, i guess that is to make the hole in the wood to match the center with the metal holes.
