First Radiohead song I've ever heard after I discovering that the band who wrote "Creep" was still around and releasing music. I was blown away and never looked back.
For real, creep has been in my list for years but I never looked it up, and then one day I did, and now I never listen to creep anymore lmao.

Weird Fishes and Body Snatchers are absolutely must see from the Basement set. Now that you're familiar with the songs and they won't be first listens, you'll be amazed at how they put it all together.
Ok computer, In rainbows, Kid A and The Bends are all some of the greatest albums of all time. I could listen to OK computer uninterrupted aswell as In rainbows and The bends basically every single song on those are all time greats
One of their greatest performance is "The Daily Mail"

This was my favorite song from the album the first, like, 100 times I listened to it. Now I'm not so sure, but it's still freaking good.
My favourite is Nude, but Jigsaw is just as perfect how it starts with everything tight and in the pocket, and just keeps getting better, with 'the beat goes round and round' and 'wish away the nightmare' I love this one so much, I use it as my ring tone, and very often prefer to listen to this than whoever is calling me...

This music was the one which got me interested to hear Radiohead in the first place, and still is in my top 3 favorite Radiohead songs after listening to all the albums.
Stoked that you said you'd visit some of their live stuff. If you want to see the band jam together, anything 'from the basement ' is a must. Great series and looking forwards to the next lot 👍
They've done two Basement sessions right? Would be cool to see him do both in full.
@@linusfotograf yeah, in rainbows and King of limbs. Both are excellent but I prefer the in rainbows session. That version of 'where I end and you begin' is insane 😂

@@jameshannagan7830 they're both amazing but I think I just prefer in rainbows as an album, although I must say the version of 'bloom' is absolutely insane. Really made me appreciate the album more seeing them translate the songs to a live environment
King of Limbs, in Rainbows, Down is the new Up, Videotape and Last Flowers live from the basement are brilliant

Took me a while to dive into Radiohead because I always felt they put too much into production. After seeing some live performances I fully appreciate the musicianship and pure talent this band has!

they gave this album up for free download. I really don't think anyone's coming after you for copyright on this album. but who knows?
If you enjoy "weirder" stuff, maybe try Kid A and Amnesiac. Their earlier work is more on the rockier side, but these 2 albums explore other genres.
So you like it and it's really good and these guys are talented.

The more you listen the more you’ll love. Definitely listen to them “In The Basement” and OK Computer the whole way through!
I been listening to Radiohead In Rainbows and A Perfect Circle Mer De Noms a lot recently.
Channel has great potential man. You've got a great sense of video lighting, not sure if you studied film or something but it's noticeable :)

What are your main genres? I remember when I got into Radiohead I was massive HipHop head. My favorites Kanye/Lupe/Run the jewels/Kendrick
And then I listened to Radiohead and the strokes and my entire music taste completely flipped into indie and art rock

Also, in rainbows has a disk 2! It’s probably my favorite B side of any band ever, and many people consider it on the same tier as their main albums (skip the MK songs they’re not full tracks). For a band as acclaimed as Radiohead it’s worth checking out, especially if you’ve liked this album so far

Definitely do ok computer, and kid a. But id like to reccomend an artist i recently found. Lunatic soul i think is right up your ally. good kinda middle ground between tool and radiohead. You can pick anyone of his albums other than impressions and through the shaded woods and i think youll really like it.

Just my opinion: the best song on the album, followed by the worst closer in Radiohead's discography.
Definitely disagree with that one! Lol Jigsaw is probably my favorite from this album (I’ve always found it odd that its so overlooked) but i equally love Videotape. I cant really think of a closer thats better, besides Wolf.
Videotape isnt about the songwriting, as much as its about the mood and the production.
@@TheAlibabatreeTo me, Videotape just feels like the beginning of an idea of a song that never went anywhere. I pretend it doesn't exist and close the album with Jigsaw.

@@ZosoLU To each his own I suppose. If you havent already, I recommend checking out Vinyl Junkies channel. He basically cried after listening to Videotape for the first time. Not saying that means anything objective, but there’s obviously something there.
