These subs came back as a return and i think i heard someone in the office say they didn't fit the customers box. These 8's are beefy! They were packed loosely and had foam all over them. One was upside down in it's box. So i took them out for testing. Seems like they are still working well! All i need to do now is figure out a good way to give them away. My 7yr old son loves watching your videos and asked me to comment to give him a chance at getting him a new sub from his (our) favorite audio guy, he has an 8" base line skar that he absolutely loves, and I built him a box for. To have a sub signed by you would make him smile from ear to ear for a long time, and personally, I wouldn't even care if it was one of those or a weaker/ cheaper subwoofer, I just know he would love to have one sent to him by you that you signed. I could post a paragraph or better just telling you what all he has learned about subwoofers from you, but the short version is, he asks me every time I see him if you have a new video out yet. So keep on going man, you have fans of all ages keeping up with your videos 😊

Fair way would be allowing myself to build a box and install them in my truck because I’m totally curious about 8” subwoofers and I live 10 minutes from your shop and I’d be so appreciative in which shipping would cost nothing! I love how you're always so honest, need more people like you In the world, that's why all of my fuses and blocks, ground distribution blocks, and speaker terminals are SMD, i've never had an issue with them, after seeing them subs move would be nice to pick up some for under my F150s rear seats.

What's crazy I don't know how many times I've seen people win stuff like this then instantly see it posted for sale or put them up on a shelf in a garage and leave them for dead when there's actually some of us that would admire and enjoy these monsters I'm sure Steve feels the same way. I ran the X8 V3's for a few years in a Chevy Spark. 2 of them, small car, Box tuned for around 32hz, inverted. Those things performed beyond well! Easily hit loud below hearing range and just feel your body vibrating. In such a small vehicle, I wasn't even running them maxed out, maybe 1400W on the pair at most, and they were able to make glasses vibrate off your face. Was super impressed 2 8" subs could sound like you're running insanity back there. Anyone I showed the system two ( who wasnt a basshead ) swore I must be running dual 16's or something and was super pissed when they saw 8" subs out performing their gigs xD

Crazy almost 15 years ago one of your videos inspired me to save up my money and go out and buy subs and and a amp to annoy my parents. (2 kicker l5 15s and Rf t500-1bd) Here i am almost 30 and still bumpin! But Im down to 2 sundown 8s now.😂 Glad to see the progress on the channel keep it up my man🤟

my brother David has suggested i get a pair of 8's for years but i always revert back to 12s and 15s. I recently purchased the kicker 12s pair of comp r's for my lil camry daily driver and it slams decent.. I thought it would be kool if I won them i would give him the sub for his dream car cadillac he recently acquired... He recently just put vogue tires on the stock wheels and this sexy looking sub would really compliment his trunk area ( next to the golf clubs of course) .. I know it would make him happy to have this sub inverted on display... cheayh, oh and thanks for all the years of entertainment Steve!

I just fixed my brand new volt meter I got from you ,had to solder the wires back on can send a pic if needed I got it done and I love the triple gauge cluster I have an output meter on each side and the voltmeter in the center.

Would be fair to send it up here to Portland Oregon and I can put it in my other halfs new car. We had a nice 3 hour drive trying to keep the volume just below the distortion level as the door speakers were trying to play bass.

I was looking at getting some sundowns for my truck since the factory sub was removed when I got the truck. I would drive out so you could get the content of installing in my ram 2500. So, sounds like a win win to me. I get subs you get more content for videos.
I’m actually looking at these to put in my Harley Davison for audio competitions, thinking of running 2 in each bag for a total of 4 on a 8k 2ohm amp. So I would need 4-4ohm to wire them down to 2-ohm

my vote is for you to pick whoever you feel deserves them and we can all congratulate the winner. You could do customers that have your products already also. I currently have the dd1, cc1 and a couple of fuse blocks Ive used to tune my current system which is still a work in progress. 2021 F350 dually with a nav-tv A2B interface, sundown 12" zv6 D1 that I'm trying to figure out a better box for without taking out all the rear seats, jp33 for sub power and an audiocontrol d6.1200 with infinity kappa perfect mids and highs im gonna build a pillars for. Wouldn't mind trying the D4's out and compare them to the zv6 for output. Cool for you to give them away to someone who would enjoy them.
Do a raffle. I'm assuming you are shipping them as a pair....do 1.00 an entry. First 800-900 people (USA residents only), get a chance to win it. Or charge .50 and open it up to 2000 people. This way it covers the cost of the subwoofer and shipping. One entry per person only.
I have exactly the same amp for my lows and Audio Control D6.1200 for my mids and highs. Awesome amps.

Looks like a decent driver. Only thing that worries me is the tension on the leads during full stroke. Can see them bending right at the bolt joint

I would say the person post their use for it, what their install plan is. Specifically box design and all, so you know they actually have a use for them and they don't end up on a shelf somewhere. Plus it might give you and opportunity to build the box for them ( gets you another video) or at the least, check the dimensions and if it's going to fit/ sound right.

I'm still experimenting. In my opinion 12s are the best of both punch and sub but 8s may do just the trick in bringing more punch to my 18s dominant system

A fair way would be make them pay shipping. Unfortunately also keep the give-away inside the USA to keep from shipping through customs and all that headache. Hope my idea gets me the win. Edit: I see others has this idea already. So another idea to make it fair, is you could do channel history trivia. Ask questions about events from older videos. That way your older videos will get more views as people look back through videos for informations to win. And loyal loyal followers may remember and know the answer. The most loyal can win and you grow from the extra views.
Would love to see someone do a build in a Tacoma with these, given the cab space for let’s say a ‘21-23 TRD Pro and see what they can do to no only make these fit, but the difference in the reference JBL system and just how ridiculous these would be in that setup…

I say a randomized drawing with the winner paying shipping. I mean they are pretty much brand new. You put them through the paces in the dyno bench, and verified that they are good to go. its basically buy on sub get one free the you have them pay for shipping. i would do that easily..
