if you can't tell i was more than impressed by this amp test. The first thing i told Bobby was "you are selling yourself short, this is easy a 7kw amp". So if you buy this thing thinking you are gonna get 5700 watts, you are in for a treat! I will test the other 2 soon and see if they overperform as well. In my opinion, Steve Meades editing, eye for super catchy thumbnail pics, and the steak knife (og viewers will know) were basically what made him popular. Then when he did Chickens Caddy Escalade build thread with the 2 D'amore 25000 watt, (was it a fosgate built amp designed by D'amore) Or did they cost 25000 to buy? Maybe Steve can straighten that info out. Anyway no one at the time had anything remotely like that, let alone 2 of them in a vehicle. And a Mac mini with a touch screen in the dash? This is when touch screens just cane out and tablets weren't even out yet. It was so amazing seeing the progress of the Caddy and his Tahoe. He showed everybody that it was possible to build your own shit and do it right. Tons of build tips and tricks of the trade and that's what kept me coming back for more. It was tons of content and always edited perfectly and camera work was always on point. I can only imagine how many hours he's spent editing these videos. But I sure do appreciate it.
Not to mention he is gifted with tons of common sense and mechanically inclined enough to be an engineer. With a cool laid back attitude and a take no shit look, he seems like an awesome dude..never met the guy, just the kind of person I take him to be. He appears to be a genuine dude. 😎

4:33 1st thing to do like on most remotes is to dampen the digits. No one needs a high-beam under the dashboard.
lets see your system with the "dampened" digits. Something tells me you don't even have a system and never have so when you say "the first thing i like to do" it is pretty funny :D

FINALLY! An amp that says what it'll do. Nothing more irritating you buy an amp rated X watts and they only time it'll even come close to that is the initial spark charging the caps. I buy an amp for X watts, I want it to be able to run at X watts until I get tired of listening to it. Thanks!
None of the reputable companies are selling amps that don't do rated. As long as you avoid flea market bullshit, you'll be fine. Even budget Amazon companies like SKAR Audio and CT Sounds will do rated.

If I were to have the money I would have Meade do my installs ,fabrication, opinions, and would have big d wiz do the testing, and have hifi Vega be in charge of sales,but have Meade mentor young people to the craft

Mr.Meade, thanks for sharing this amp! The other channel i look to for amp dynos and reviews has jumped on the payroll of one specific company and that has tainted the reviews of other amplifiers. I guess the dollars are more important than integrity to some. Anyway, appreciate you showing and goin' over the Gately Audio amp
Just because Big D "jumped on the D4S payroll" or not doesn't change the AD-1 results, there is no cheating the Amp Dyno results.

I've always seen testing in the 15s on the ruthless 8500s as well as real world numbers. Doing better then the crossfire 8ks which impressed me.
That's a 7 - 8k amp listed as a 5k. Sick!

I definitely qualify as a budget banger running skar and sundown in my vehicles, I don't cheap out on the electrical though but if I could afford it I would most definitely run gately , jp or incriminator amps they look like they are badass. Thanks for sharing @mead916 keep up the great work brotha

Steve Meade……man that lazer etching on the bottom is BAD AS FUCK! My first reaction to the amp is I REALLY LIKE the heatsink. Reminds my of the 1990s Precision Power Art series amp without a doubt. I also like the color. There is also PLENTY of heatsink there to keep the amplifier cool. The performance on the amp dyno speaks for itself! One thing I would like to see on all amps is the amplifier go into protect mode while playing due to short circuit on the outputs or too low of an impedance, and then come back alive. Those tests are of course risky to say the least. But it is also a great selling point. If I see an amp protect and then keep playing, that opens my eyes for a potential purchase as a consumer. Just my two cents. Great video Steve! Can’t wait to see the 4 channel amp. Hope it matches this 5700D in appearance!

There's nothing similar between all of those. Just because it's all by the same place doesn't mean it's the same. Idk why this is complicated. Different mossfits, caps, etc

i would love to have the 5 channel amp. my system crashed about 5 months agao and have not been able to get it fixed due to health issues. im a big fan of car audio and computers. to have music back in my car would mean alot to me. i got my figners crossed...

Man everything you showed by Gately audio the past couple of years has looked very high quality from the boxes to the subs and amps.. I would probably run with this brand over Sundown or Skar audio since you have backed them up so much and I know your about that high quality stuff cause I been following you since like 2007. lol

S&I is their name and yes, pretty much every SPL-oriented manufacturer uses them. Crossfire, Crescendo, DC Audio, Down4Sound, Sundown Audio, Surge Audio. They all are using S&I stuff. Some, like Sundown, spend a little more time working with S&I to develop amps, such as SALT series.
