Now we need to know how David stays productive! 😂 add his tips next for all the to do listers here! I have 4 notepads, 3 calendars and reminders yet I just struggle. Tried bullet journaling, having all in one place, multiple places, but life admin always comes last and some tasks never get done for me, they’ve been on the list of like a year 😢 send help!

Request request alert :) Books you have read so far in 2023 with a quick recommendation of the best ones. Or just more book content in general. Loved the previous video (Best books of all time) and "Reading 80 books in a year" - very motivating :) cheers!

About being distracted by the phone… I moved to a remote area 6 years ago to focus on creative work, and I can leave cell service five minutes after I leave town. So I’ve been finding that I’m most focused if I leave town and either work outdoors, or even in my car when the weather is bad ( parked overlooking the beach is my fav). It’s drastic, but it removes me from cell service, those house and garden tasks, and any other distractions that happen at home. I can’t do everything in my car or on a picnic table, but I also bought a house with a separate studio, so that I can keep home and work separate, reducing distractions. I can leave my phone in the house if I need to.

It is fun learning how people accomplish their goals or do their tasks. I am goal oriented and I don't think big or small tasks matter. . when I focus on it, it gets done. I schedule my day out in my head. I used to have to write it down.

I’m a lot like you because I’m neurodivergent (autism+adhd), and you’ve always struck me as someone who has neurodivergent traits, for example the hyperfocus you mentioned in this video 😊

I had never given it much thought before, but I, like you, set short term goals for each project every day and create that sense of urgency you are talking about. It is very motivating and helps me stay on track so I don't end up putting aside an unfinished project and procrastinating on starting it again.

I'm a morning list maker but rarely make it through it during the day. I like the idea of a monthly goal! An idea for a future video that could be helpful - how do you keep your office so organized with no clutter? How do you or where do you keep your paperwork on house repairs, taxes, mortgage information, etc? All of those pieces of paper that is important and saved. Thanks!

I think creating a sense of urgency is something I will try implementing, great video! Would love more productivity content specifically around creative projects. There was a glimpse of your youtube planning spreadsheet in this video, I would love to see a walkthrough on how you plan out your content.

I really like the bubble thing, it allows you to stay in left brain or right brain mode until your finished with the task or have met the daily goal. Switching back and forth from creative circular thinking to linear sucks- not productive!

I have a very similar system except my bubbles are about how easy or hard my tasks are - the easy task bubbles are for when my brain is still waking up or winding down, the high priority/hard tasks are for when my brain is fully firing, and then I have another bubble for finishing hard tasks and doing medium tasks. Every task and task generating email gets categorized and I only worry about each category during the time I've scheduled to work on those types of tasks. Between each bubble I have a 30 minute break for getting snacks/lunch if needed and, weather allowing, taking a 20 minute walk. If I finish a particular category of tasks before the allotted time is up, I get an extra long break! It's basically about honoring my circadian rhythm and when I'm most awake/alert vs. when I'm more mentally tired and my brain is more easily taxed.

It also seems like you work in different locations for each bubble, which could help separate those things in your brain? My video request is for your daily meal routines (you've mentioned always eating the same thing so I'm wondering what that is and do you meal prep in advance, when do you eat, etc). Thanks!

I am just like you and my corporate job feels exhausting because of the constant interruptions. Ideally I would create physical bubbles and block everything from the outside world for hours before emerging and reading emails. When in Highschool, I used to wait until late at night to create my bubble and write my essays, make my drawings, etc. Unfortunately it is not possible anymore :(

How good are Google Windows!?! They have been a total game changer for me! Instead of feeling lost in my many, MANY tabs, documents, spreadsheets, etc., everything now has its own (virtual) space. And if something does end up in a different window (yay investigating brain needs something RIGHT NOW), it's super easy to move these from one window to another :D

maybe that's just a vague idea, but i would love to see a video where you talk about your aesthetic, which role it has in your life, what you think in general what aesthetics mean and do, .... i think your thoughts on that, from someone who is so mindful about their own aesthetics, would be very interesting and inspiring to hear!
