Thank you to a commenter who let me know that the 20/20 rule is from the Minimalists!! They have super helpful content - I actually just watched their documentary and it was great, highly recommend :)
Randomly clicked on this video, love it, full of fantastic, practical advice to make life more joy to live. Thank you, great work all the best to you 🌷
For me was anxiety to hear that lol, love how we all function differently. You just got to find out what your day turns out like by what YOU do from getting up. Enjoy the new year of inspo x 💐
I also felt guilt for not being able to implement a morning routine for years in my life. Recently, I let go of that and started to write in my journal (almost) every morning. That changed everything, and now I feel happy with my routine and added a meditation to it
Simplicity was my word for 2023. It was such a game changer. I've simplified my home, cleaning, cooking, make-up routine, work-out routine, and finances! I'm choosing the same word for 2024 to simplify my decor and hobbies!
That's a good word of the year. Mine will be simplicity AND creativity. Going to make lots of art this year, but simplifying the rest of my life (which I have been doing for while now, but still needs some more of it!)
I no longer have social media on my phone & it has nearly eliminated my scrolling, plus bringing me an abundance of peace. Like you, I choose my clothing each morning. I enjoy doing this. I feel my best each day.
Hi Anika! Something I've removed from my life is not taking things personally or on a deeper level. It's probably not that deep or that person could be having a bad day. It has changed my life for the better.
If someone is mean to you, stand back and watch them and you will see they are likely mean to others too. Whenever I run into mean people, I just stand back and observe them and it makes it so much easier to realise it has nothing at all to do with me. I had a boss once who, when the Syrian war broke out a few years ago, virtue signalled by saying that theyfelt they needed to go there to help. I said if you want to help improve other people's lives, why not be kind to the staff who work for you. I left a few years later due to her mean ways. Life is too short to put up with that.
@@softsophisticateyes life is too short to deal with that. I had a supervisor who got mad at me for leaving early one day. She said later to me, "I wasn't the best supervisor I know that." Like no duh!! They notice their behavior way later on. I'm glad I left that job!!
The notion of using my phone as a hobby has stuck with me these past few days and really made me reevaluate how I do things. I often read on my phone but also spend far too much hobby/impulse scrolling. Its given me great pause for things I want to change for this upcoming year. I have had on my goals list for about 3 years now to write in my children’s journals (a birth to 18 book) and am about 3 years behind. Seems like I will be focusing on journaling as a hobby in 2024. Thank you for such thought provoking content. ❤
That really resonated with me too as I’ve been thinking about how much time I spend on my phone with social media, email, etc and how it’s kept me from doing other things I enjoy.
I send my child emails on her own email that I said up when she was 2 days old! Be careful because they can be deleted so also save them somewhere else too. But it makes it easier to do when you have some free time when you’re not at home
if youre able i totally recommend investing in a kindle and a quality case you love. i download books whenever i want and have begun reading as my main hobby. best purchase ive ever made !
"Trying to make everyone happy" was a big one for me for many years. As I've gotten older I'm less likely to do/say things just to please others. I appreciate there may be times we need to do things we don't necessarily want to do but consistently putting other people's needs before my own is not something I do anymore, and I'm happier for it.
Being kind to myself has become so much easier now that I'm viewing my life through the lens of a 28 day cycle. So grateful to people like you who share it
I can definitely relate to your morning routine comments. I love getting up early but I hate having it structured. So this year I started doing something very similar to you. Some days I'll read in the morning, some days I'll listen to music. Some days I'll stretch or do yoga. Some days I'll work. It really depends on what's going on that week and what "activity" is calling to me.
This has been one of the most freeing, helpful videos on happiness, minimalism, and slow living I’ve seen. This isn’t one of those videos where someone is telling you a prescriptive list, you “must” do these things. You’re inviting us to examine practices that have helped you and giving permission to freely do what works and ignore what doesn’t! Thank you! I’m saving this video to come back to often. ❤
My proudest quitting commitment of the year: opting out of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok! Only UA-cam and Pinterest for me now. I used to find myself scrolling, especially on Facebook and instagram, for hours and looking at people I knew / used to know's feeds and feeling SO deeply disconnected, even though I was fully aware of the reality that these feeds are 100% highlight reels. And as unpleasant as that feeling always was, they were still so addictive! After a year of not having the apps on my phone and cutting down dramatically on how often I would log onto them on my computer, I began to look beyond mere moderation and fall in love with the idea of not even having social accounts to have the option of logging onto. Three months ago, I ended up doing it, permanently deleting my social media accounts, and I haven't regretted it once since. I no longer have that horrific doomed feeling I used to get while scrolling, and I've found myself more frequently reaching out to friends to chat over text / phone, or set up real life meet ups, which has definitely strengthened the relationships I care most about in my life. Love this video, can't wait for more! 😊
Incredible content in this video! I rarely suggest things in comments, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is a must-read if you're serious about wealth and self-care. It’s filled with unique knowledge that few people know about. Take care, everyone
I started dying my roots at home, as well as doing my own nails - total game changer! Freed up so much time for myself. ❤ not to mention I’m saving money too!
Most of these were really refreshing to hear! We are pulled from so many directions all the time and expected to stay on top of everything constantly, it's eating at our quality of life. Definitely a needed video, thank you!
I am currently on my way to simplify my life. I already wanted peace and quiet years ago, but now that I work in retail, watching consumerism happen in real time made me finally take the plunge. I got rid of heaps of "what if" stuff, made rules so that I don't buy more of these "what ifs", and I'm getting ready for a low-buy year in 2024. If I want peace, I also need a tidy, minimal space without too much visual clutter. And since I live in a studio apartment, it doesn't take long for it to look messy if I keep adding stuff. These tips in your video feel reassuring, thank you for sharing your insights :)
100% agree with going to bed early. My friends think I'm nuts, but I am never tired during the day. I'm in bed at 8p, I read until 8:30, and my alarm goes off at 4a. I even stick to this when I'm not working and on vacation.
Purging clothes and old decor, returning to basic eating, cutting way down on Diet Soda, silly spending, and exercising self control in so many ways. All of this is so rewarding. Being mindful of wants vs. needs. Less is more. 😊
Only 3 mins in, but I love this video and just subscribed! I agree w/ so many of these but what really resonated was your take on morning routines - I spent yeaaaars trying to have a 'productive morning routine' that I'd see everyone talk about, just to constantly feel like crap about myself cause I wouldn't achieve it. I finally decided to ditch that pressure and my new goal is to aim for harmony with my body, mind, and energy levels for the day rather than trying to check off all the boxes of some 'ideal morning routine' checklist.
Loved your view on the fact we use technology (a phone) as a hobby even though it's not really satisfying in the end, not like finishing a good book or actually picking up a pen to sketch or write or whatever else. Using something different to fill the need and feel of dopamine (like an actual hobby) is such a struggle nowadays, because you always see things you want to do and save them to remember later- but who actually does that? (I even now get anxiety just thinking about all the things I have saved for later). Such a toxic relationship and cycle with being on a phone for endless scrolling. That's definitely on my list this year to feel more satisfied and inspired by using my phone and social media less!
I guess the biggest thing for me is the 'allowing' ourselves not to be caught up in the vortex that is modern life. Your videos are like an antidote to the rush of the world. The world feeds us constant messages that we must do this, have this, aim for this, have this many friends: the messages are overwhelming and incessant. It keeps most people on the treadmill using FOMO. In fact, I'd say that our whole political and economic systems are based on it. Please keep spreading the word, please keep assuring those of us who are caught up in the cycle of 'must do' that it's ok to be the anti-hero, that we're ok and we're not alone. Thanks Anika.
Unfortunately if you have a 9 to 5 (which I hope I won’t be doing forever) productivity for productivity’s sake is not escapable 🫠 because it very much is part of corporate culture. If you have a healthy work environment putting boundaries with coworkers can help alleviate some of that but it doesn’t get rid of it 😢.
I totally get that. It’s so hard & frustrating - particularly when you’re in a position where you have little to no control over both what you do or how it has to be done.
For Lent, I fasted from “ doing too much all the time”… I built in more rest, prayer walks, time to read, less social media scrolling, etc. Once I fasted from that need to be in everything or for everyone… it was amazing how much more God and His peace came flowing in.
thank you! ive stopped habit tracking just to “feel” productive and focus more on the doing! i realized that there are other ways i can see my habits in action: consistency, im in good spirits, i feel healthy, etc. one thing i will say is that i think its great to do personal maintenance on your own, especially if its a cost cutting measure for you and it makes you feel accomplished. but if you have the means and desire to have personal appointments, its so fun! being able to support service workers and build relationships with my nail tech, hair stylist, etc. are truly some of the bright spots in my everyday life. they get me out of my bubble and its so important to make relationships of all depths and forms with others in the world (especially as an extroverted introvert thats a mega homebody)
OMG! YOUR TULIP TEAPOT GIRL!!! I loved that! I saw it just before mother's day and I did that for my mom and it was one of her most favorite gifts so now I bring her tulips all the time to refill the teapot!
I have been slightly forced into doing these things as a graduate student and it has been so nice. I don’t really have money for unnecessary shopping, I had to delete social media from my phone because it was distracting me from research, I am so exhausted at the end of the day that I am in bed at 9 most nights, etc. I really hope to carry these habits on after completing my program.
That's so interesting!! I love that you were kind of forced into it and that it's actually been good - funny how life does that sometimes. Best of luck with your program!
I really like your style and agree with your quit-list. Tired of being a slave to a phone. Avoid fast foods like the toxins most are; still working on reducing clothing options and curate a simply quality closet.
you have answered the most cardinal worry of mine which has been being super productive EVERYDAY, being best at anything and everything immediately, being better than everyone and being in uni i just want everyone to take me seriously and let me lead. These are the things i use so much of my mental strength at and watching this vid has made me realize how hard i am on myself. i a m 18 and just got into uni an di also have a fear of underperforming in life and eventually having an ordinary 9-5 job and a husband which i donot plan oh having. now this vid is goona help me alot and i love u for this
This video is so helpful! I’m going through a life simplification journey as well right now and I really needed this. Quite honestly, I think we all do
Umm. This was the single most helpful video on the internet (to me). I just - thank you. I've been on such a journey trying to become more productive/more healthy/more relaxed and it has felt nothing but restricting and forced. For some reason, they way you spoke about what you spoke about and these tips - it all clicked. Some, I am already doing myself, and with some I struggle greatly. I think it will become easier from now on. THANK YOU!
ohhh this is so simple and honest and straight forward, I get a lot of reassurance and warmth from your words Anika! Thank you, watching this video brightened my day. :)
I used to set an alarm for work daily. But, after becoming self-employed and working from home, I stopped. It has positively impacted my sleep and mental health. Thank you for sharing these things, they gave me some good ideas to think about adding to my list for next year. I love the hair by the way.
So much of what you said resonates that I had an "I am not alone!" moment. I do love a morning routine, sometimes. I have one routine for the days I am going into the office and a modified one for the days I am working from home that work incredibly well. So obviously one for my off days should work, too, right? Wrong. I love routines but routines for their own sake can lock you into a rut and suck the joy right out if life. Sometimes I have errands to run, other times I go on a cleaning spree, some days I go for breakfast with a friend. And some days I just need to take time to rest. Trying to lock myself into an off day morning routine was limiting and frustrating. It is absolutely OK to not have a routine for everything in your life. So glad I found your channel. Thank you for sharing.
Coincidentially, as I listened to your points, there was not a single one I could not subscribe to, and I had not done it in the last 6 months. Sleep, minimal life, intention. Thank you for sharing
Scarcity Mindset: “trust in the Lord to provide.” Thank you! Thank you! Keep saying that. You’re going to catch a lot of hate for it if you do, but He’ll bless you for it. This is the first post of yours that I’ve seen and I subscribed just because of that statement. I hope to keep supporting your content. Thank you again, friend.
This is a great video. I have been watching decluttering videos for over 2 years but this was the first time I decided to take a note of the things that have simplified your life.
Ohhhh my goodness - thank you so much for saying your opinions on keeping social media off your phone! I read "Digital Minimalism" as well, and I tried sooo many cycles of deleting socials, and trying to add them back, and none of it has worked. Usually, when I try to tell people that I can't access Instagram in the moment because I don't keep it on my phone, I get something like "Well, you can always incorporate it in a healthy way." Thanks for sharing that there's other people who just can't work through that, too!
Today is a good day to have a good day! Thank you for this lovely video. I love to improve the quality of my life and getting organized helped a lot. Simplify to amplify what really matters to the soul ❤
I really thought this would be the same old information I hear on these minimalist videos but these are incredible ideas and you gave me alot to think about, thank you.
Not every day has uniformity. Yes! Whenever I find a routine or flow that came naturally, I'm like "yeah I'm gonna do it like that every day!" and I get a little buzz. But then I forget about it or can't get it into my wider routine and I get disappointed. But you're totally right. Just because every day doesn't look the same doesn't mean you aren't maximising productivity. And actually having too much repetitive structure doesn't leave space and time for new things to be accomplished. I am a black and white person too, and I love methodology, repetition, routine. I discovered I am autistic during lockdown and it has helped me massively to understand my brain. And since then I have also learnt more about my cycles, as a woman and as a human on our Earth. I keep a close eye on the moon now as that has a massive impact on my energy levels, concentration and creativity amongst so many other things. Thanks for another great video :-)
That was great! Great ideas! I’ve been going thru our stuff and eliminating and reorganizing. Still have excess but we are just getting started! It is freeing. I also set about this year simplifying some of the “rules” I had set for myself and it has been freeing also and letting some frustration out. I liked what you said about creativity and the cycle. I allow myself to brainstorm when it comes on no matter what’s going on! I’m grateful for those moments!
Thank you for this inspiration! I just started a social media detox and like how you limit your usage to your computer. That's a great boundary I plan to incorporate (post detox)!
Browsing sales resonated with me. I have 2 kids and watching out for sale is great for when it is great until I realized that things I bought on sale is no longer their size 😢 so yeah I’ve embraced only buying things when we really need it even if it is full price. The space that these things take up in our small condo might not cost me money but costs my sanity and the clutter just makes me so sluggish and unhappy argh
Hi! Positive comment incoming! Somehow I stumbled across this video by typing "how to have a sustainable kitchen" lol. But I love the quality of the video, your style and flare, and most importantly the content. You portray change and growth in such an encouraging way! I'm definitely going to watch your other videos
You are a beautiful intelligent person. I understand what you mean you can't please everyone. But just know you are inspiring others. I watch UA-cam when I get depressed and it helps me.
This is such a super helpful video! I can relate to so many aspects like using my phone as a hobby. I am so guilty of doing that too, and that needs to stop! Also having too many options to choose from. I own like twenty different kinds of tea, it's really too much and takes up so much space in my kitchen. I really need to reduce that. There's a ton more that was helpful for me, so thank you for all of that inspiration.
Omg me too with the phone. And then I sit around cranky being like why don't I have time for my hobbies while I read reddit for 45 minutes gahhhh. So yeah I need sit and actually do hobbies not scroll
Indecision fatigue is a real thing and it can definitely stress you out if you have too many options. Unfortunately I can relate to your tea example as I literally just bought 3 new boxes at the store yesterday ugh!!
Wonderful video… you sound like you have found such peace! I am in the process of giving away tons of clothes. I have found that the capsule wardrobe works best .. just keep your favorites!
Wise and practical. I have made many of the same choices. Thank you for captioning some of it-- my senior ears don't always process as quickly as you speak.
Loved this! I have been getting into minimalism in the past 6 months, and it changed literally everything about my life! I have started reading again, putting away my phone, taking walks, baking etc. It has been such a freeing experience. I have personally quit extreme business. I was addicted to being busy all the time, even with productive things. But realizing that I had to cut back on certain things to keep my sanity has helped me so much personally. This is what I used to do: Work a 9-5 job 3 days a week, selling vintage at an antique mall, on etsy, and marketplace, going thrifting constantly, run a UA-cam channel, go to church 3-4 times a week. I also have a husband and two kids. It was killing me. I stopped posting videos on UA-cam (in the long-run I do want to start it again, as a creative outlet) and I stopped selling vintage on Etsy because it was stressing me out so so much. I also only thrift once every two months or so and started treating it as a hobby and creative outlet. I am still working my normal job, but that financial security actually helps me to see my side income very relaxed and has relieved a lot of stress.
The routines is something that always ended up stressing me out. I would watch videos on TikTok telling me I needed to wake up early, journal, read, brush my teeth, shower, go to the gym, make breakfast, go on a walk, set my goals for the day and much more all before 10am! And you are right, whenever I didn’t meet those expectations, I felt like I failed. But once I started paying attention to the elders around me like my grandparents (who live in Puerto Rico) I noticed that they simply wake up, drink their coffee and sit outside with nature until they start their day. That’s when I realized that I don’t need to be fighting to get a million things done each morning. I learned about “morning menus” and it made me realize that I get to choose what I feel like doing that day! This is also really important for women considering our cycle and hormones affect our mood so we aren’t always feeling the same!
Great video! Hate comments are hard- if the video was so bad, why are these people watching it and leaving a comment? You would think they would flee ASAP from such a travesty. But, then again, some people complain when their ice cream is cold, so you are right: you can't please everyone. One question we have been asking here lately to help us simplify is: Is this item the best of the best? If it is subpar, just ok, looking a little past its prime... do we really want to keep it? That is not to say that we can only have or love things that are perfect, but it does help us put things into perspective and makes it easier to let items (and even opportunities sometimes), go. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. God bless!
This is a great list. I shop from a wish list because I've given thoughtful intention to what is on it. This way sales no longer have an influence over my purchasing decisions. I can look at a lot of items and appreciate them for what they are but if they aren't on the list I have no interest in purchasing them.
Some great ideas, thank you! Scrolling wastes time and you are SOOOOO right about clutter. I also have a scarcity mindset and should work on that. The haters who commented negatively about your teapot video are just very sad people. Glad you managed to rise above such nonsense. You do you and don't let some trolls break your speed!
Such wonderful ideas. Phone as a hobby...that was a new concept to me. And the morning routine, agreed. I want that freedom. Great video. The Tulips in a Teapot incident is definitely something to remember about life. I actually had to place some tulips given to me in a blender the other day, cause I got rid of all my vases. My guests the other day thought it was hilarious :)
Thank you for this video! Many things you said made incredible sense to me. Some things I was already doing, but hadn't yet organized into words, and others I will certainly implement in my life
I don't really use social media as a hobby, but I am constantly scrolling through whatsapp and replying to people. And it takes so much time out of my day! To just reply to friends, family and also work contacts.
I’ve learned a lot from this video. I also just started practicing most of the things you’ve shared 2 months ago & there have been days where I just wanna give up & I’m tempted to go back to my old habits, but I really try my best not to, on the right track so far. Good suggestion about having kind of a self check a year after!
I am you. What the heck. Thank you for this! Currently working on goals for myself and my lifestyle as a new airman in the Air Force. Love self-help videos and books, yours was great! ❤
One of my favorite videos on this topic.🤍 Simplicity is key! I'm definitely saving it and might journal some of the information you have here. Ive wasted so much time and money on a excessive wardrobe/make up collection and trying to find the "perfect" routine or planner/ notebook system for productivity. I love having a small wardrobe now!🤍🤍🤍 Getting dressed used to be an exhausting chore. Thank you for the tips!🤍
Choosing options over simplicity. There was no description of what that means. You mentioned you used it with clothes and food. I'll check to see if you a video on that topic. If not, I'd appreciate it if you made one. Thanks.
This is the first video I actually watched in reduced speed :D but it was very good, thank you! And you said a lot of things I was thinking and feeling already - I hope I can start doing some changes now.
'Just in case' items are my biggest struggle when it comes to decluttering. I'm moving into a smaller space and had to get rid of a lot of my things. Some areas were easy, but the box of things that I use once or twice a year was much more difficult. Those are things I do need on occasion, but also feel like a waste of space for the rest of the time they're not in use. It's been a process for me to find a balance but I do like the $20 rule for deciding what to keep and what to toss.
I stopped going on social media so much. I actually started using social media less last April of 2023 after a massive fight with a so-called friend. I decided that social media was making me feel very cynical and stressed out and even my fiance has noticed that when I am often on social media a lot that I become visibly stressed and anxious. Now I only go on social media when really big important things happen. I have a lot of family that lives far away from me so I like to keep in touch with them but I do not need to be in touch with them every single day 24 hours and I do not need to be seeing what everyone on social media is up to. I've noticed it made a huge change in my mental health and I feel a lot lighter and happier day by day. I recommend limiting use of social media to everyone tbh. Being on social media and being accessible to that many people all day, everyday and being in that scrolling loop where you're just seeing all the good things that are happening to everyone else can really put you in a bad mindset and I think almost everyone could benefit from a break from social media.
Thanks for making this video. Everything you said really resonated with me and very closely aligns with what I’ve done myself. Have you read much about neurodiversity? Particularly ADHD and ASD and how they present together? What you described sounds very familiar to me personally and also the lived experience that many of my AuDHD friends often talk about, too.
Hi Anika. I really have to say this, I usually get bored or frustrated after clicking on videos with such titles. It's like a fever that productivity UA-camrs have, that they think human beings are like machines, they don't really consider the affective and humanistic factors. This literally exhausts me. But your video was really helpful!! You talked about your experience as a human being, with no wrongs or rights, or blacks and whites. I feel so good right now that finally someone lets herself think outside the box (of all those productivity rules), and this really inspires me to find my own way of living. I hope you reach all your goals, or at least all those goals that really make you feel better and satisfied.~
Thank you for sharing these insightful tips Anika. I look forward to applying some of them to my life. Just to add, you talk really fast and sometimes it's a bit hard to follow. Cheers to an improved life in 2024 🥂🥂
Thank you to a commenter who let me know that the 20/20 rule is from the Minimalists!! They have super helpful content - I actually just watched their documentary and it was great, highly recommend :)
You are so adorable and beautiful and intelligent 😍😍😍 your husband is very lucky to have u 😊.
Randomly clicked on this video, love it, full of fantastic, practical advice to make life more joy to live. Thank you, great work all the best to you 🌷
Hi fellow diabetic here thanks for the video
the infinite cicle of changing your morning routine really killed me as a person. To hear someone online saying its ok not to have one was a relief
I feel you on that so deeply. You do NOT need a morning routine!!
You NEVER have to have anyone else’s routine or life.
For me was anxiety to hear that lol, love how we all function differently. You just got to find out what your day turns out like by what YOU do from getting up. Enjoy the new year of inspo x 💐
The other thing is maybe we don’t need to listen to people online?😮
I also felt guilt for not being able to implement a morning routine for years in my life. Recently, I let go of that and started to write in my journal (almost) every morning. That changed everything, and now I feel happy with my routine and added a meditation to it
Tulips in a teapot would be a good name for a book
Is it bad that I think it would be a cozy mystery hahaha
@@thebedazzledbookshelf Ha, I see it as more of a book about decorating/revamping your home. Fabulous title though, isn't it?
Or album name lol
Yes!! I think the whole idea sounds great!
Simplicity was my word for 2023. It was such a game changer. I've simplified my home, cleaning, cooking, make-up routine, work-out routine, and finances! I'm choosing the same word for 2024 to simplify my decor and hobbies!
I started simplifying last year and yes it really does make a difference. I will carry on this year. Our modern world has become so complicated.
Yes i get my feelings hurt easily..trying to be tougher.
@@ritastutler1470yes it was challenging to be tougher. Be gentle on yourself during the process.
@@softsophisticateyes life is too short to deal with that. I had a supervisor who got mad at me for leaving early one day. She said later to me, "I wasn't the best supervisor I know that." Like no duh!! They notice their behavior way later on. I'm glad I left that job!!
My morning routine is dope. I drink coffee and read for a hour or two, then brush my teeth and go to work.
Instead of coffee try tea , lemon + honey water or milk with turmeric.... It's a good and healthy substitute
I guess the common thread is: be more gentle with yourself and listen to what you need, change accordingly. Very inspiring; thank you!
I am also years behind in my baby books (I have two)
I’m so glad this was thought provoking!! It really is so easy to fall into habits you never intended to build - cheering for you this year!
So grateful to people like you who share it
what a beautiful statement - I relate entirely. thank you for being here.
I totally agree! I can now just accept that this is going to be a low energy week and cater my plans and workflow to that mindset.
This list was *chefs kiss*. There’s something so satisfying hearing what you removed when there’s so much pressure to add add add all the time.
Thank you Sarah!! I so appreciate that.
This comment is so so kind!! Thank you so much!! I'm SO glad it was helpful!!
That's amazing!! good for you!! I love this so much - I go back and forth on whether or not to quit Instagram altogether so much :')
Choice paralysis and decision fatigue are two things I didn’t know I was experiencing until you gave them a name.
Incredible content in this video! I rarely suggest things in comments, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is a must-read if you're serious about wealth and self-care. It’s filled with unique knowledge that few people know about. Take care, everyone
When I was little my dad always used to say "keep your life simple". I'm now starting to understand what he meant!
Definitely a needed video, thank you!
i love the energy in which you speak. "Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day" my quote for the Week now. Much Thanks!
One of my longtime rules for myself is "One in, two out." (other than grocery items and I don't have very many of those)
100% agree with going to bed early.
Would the productivity be for your jobs sake rather than productivity’s sake tho? So it’s cool
This is simply brilliant. I’m in awe of all you’ve learned. I want to watch it again and take notes! So happy for your joy.
🤍🤍😊 thank you!!
OMG! YOUR TULIP TEAPOT GIRL!!!
I loved that! I saw it just before mother's day and I did that for my mom and it was one of her most favorite gifts so now I bring her tulips all the time to refill the teapot!
OH MY GOSH HAHAHA THAT IS AMAZING
Quite honestly, I think we all do
I'm so so glad it resonated with you!!!
I would love to see a video of products you used to use vs. non-toxic products you switched to!
Planning this for next month!!
I’m interesting in dying my brows and lashes but I haven’t because I’m worried about the dye not being good for you. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
thank you so much! oh i’m so so so glad 🤍🥹 thank you for being here!
I absolutely love this! This is real life and you hit it perfectly. Love the clean products path. I too am working on going to bed early. 💕
I used to set an alarm for work daily. But, after becoming self-employed and working from home, I stopped. It has positively impacted my sleep and mental health. Thank you for sharing these things, they gave me some good ideas to think about adding to my list for next year. I love the hair by the way.
I'm so so glad!! I relate to that so much - you need to find what works for you. Thank you!! :)
i'm so happy i discovered your channel through this video! i've never heard the concept of the 28 day cycle and it makes so much sense. thank you!
Thanks for sharing! I’m working on figuring out my hormonal changes throughout the month. I totally relate to that. Thank you!
I have been watching decluttering videos for over 2 years but this was the first time I decided to take a note of the things that have simplified your life.
oh my gosh, this comment made my day - what a compliment, thank you. 🤍
Great video! Love your message and appreciate your honesty 👏🏼
Love learning from someone who has been thru it and come out on the other side successfully.
This is so good Anika!! Its nice to see young people speaking out about this.
Thank you so much Angela!!
Thank you!! I’m so glad you are experiencing the freedom that comes with- it feels SO GOOD.
The space that these things take up in our small condo might not cost me money but costs my sanity and the clutter just makes me so sluggish and unhappy argh
same here.....I am letting go of this (again, for the umpteenth time)!!!
Thank you so much!! This is such a kind comment - this means the world to me. Thank you for being here.
Wow, I’ve never resonated so much with a video the way I did with everything you mentioned here. Thank you for sharing.
Wonderful video… you sound like you have found such peace! I am in the process of giving away tons of clothes. I have found that the capsule wardrobe works best .. just keep your favorites!
You are absolutely killing it! Love the new content so so much and I can tell that you seem to be too as your joy just seems so much more radiant!
Ohhh, I love these! I watch a lot of videos like this, but your examples (especially the first several) are still unique. Thanks for sharing!
Wise and practical. I have made many of the same choices. Thank you for captioning some of it-- my senior ears don't always process as quickly as you speak.
SCARCITY MINDSET!!! Yep! Letting that go! Thanks for sharing your list!
thank you for watching!!
I SO APPRECIATE YOU!!! This video is sooooo encouraging for me!
This is so good! I can relate on like every level. I think you and I are definitely kindred spirits!
Great advice. Thanks for being honest about what struggles you have and how you overcome some of them.
This was so good! I can relate to so many things you said here. Thanks for making this video!
This was so good! Loved how you explained how our brains work.
This video is by far the most realistic video i have come across. Thank you so much
These are such GREAT THINGS to live by! Thanks for sharing and reassuring some I'm actually applying.
👍👍👍 Thank you for so many good tips! I think I have listen this several more times.
Says " working on the need to trust in the Lord to provide" at 6:38. Instantly subscribed. :)
Wow, wow, wow! So inspiring & helpful. Thank you
Thank you this was helpful to watch, you have an amazing energy!
Choosing options over simplicity. There was no description of what that means. You mentioned you used it with clothes and food. I'll check to see if you a video on that topic. If not, I'd appreciate it if you made one. Thanks.
Great content! Trying to overcome my scarcity mindset is hard work and seems almost impossible.
This is the first video I actually watched in reduced speed :D but it was very good, thank you! And you said a lot of things I was thinking and feeling already - I hope I can start doing some changes now.
I didn't expect this to be actually usefull haha very original, no obvious things I've heard everywere!
It's been a process for me to find a balance but I do like the $20 rule for deciding what to keep and what to toss.
thank you the morning routine makes so much sense
I don’t think I’m at a phase in my cycle where I have the capacity to explain why (lol) but I just want you to know that I really loved this video!!!
That's so true - when we do have time , we are trying to fill it with something else
I have been really scrolling on my phone, watching UA-cam videos, wasting my days. I have to stop, it’s hard!
Yes it's pretty hard. I'm facing the same issue :(
Thank you for sharing these insightful tips Anika. I look forward to applying some of them to my life.
Just to add, you talk really fast and sometimes it's a bit hard to follow.
Cheers to an improved life in 2024 🥂🥂
