Can't wait for lockdown to end in London so I can go again! Istanbul is a fraction of the cuisine out there as other regions in Turkey have their own dishes which are well known in those parts. Thanks for the video and hope you enjoyed your stay!
Its such a beautiful place!
Thank you so much for this amazing introduction of Turkish food. I’m glad that you discovered sahlep(sweet drink). It’s super local. By the way, we’re not drinking Turkish coffee during the breakfast. We’re mostly drinking turkish tea with the breakfast and after the breakfast, we’re drinking turkish coffee.
I loved it so much! It was so tasty
actually we often drink Turkish coffe during the day. After wake up, after breakfast, after lunch and the most important is afternoon coffe its incredibly important for us and one last word you should drink "Boza" in Turkey that's a real Turkısh rom
Ayran is a drink that made of yogurt, water and salt. Its not a thing to eat.
Welcome to Turkey bro ! :) 🇹🇷
Thank you so much!
Enjoyed this local food tour of Istanbul. Moreover I enjoyed your enthusiasm for the Turkish delights you were tasting. Looking forward to more of the same.
Thanks Jimmy for this video n thanks for sharing n showing your Turkish street food experience in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ahh Puerto Rico next! It really is food paradise
Agreed. I would love to try that , but so far the best place for food for me has been Lima Peru

Istanbul is the mixture city. If you really want to taste amazing foods you have to go Adana City. Adana is Foods Paradise, In istanbul Unfortunately a lot of restaurants trying to do everything ex:Kunefe, Baklava, Doner. If he was try to real Kunefe he can't left the table, because its magicial :), or if you want to try real Turkish Breakfast you should go aegean cities such as Izmir, Mugla's villages you can find the fresh vegetables, original eggs, fresh jams. Turkey have extraordinary food culture. Also you have to try simit with Ezine Peynir(sort of cheese).
istanbul some of the best food in the world super underrated
Videoya doğru gerçek Türk müzikleri koyduğun için teşekkür ederim.
Istanbul is one of my most favorite cities. I have always considered it as one of the best cities on this planet. Very friendly locals, good food, metropolitan city, plenty to discover , beautiful buildings and history and even more beautiful people. But, sadly due to the geopolitical tensions between my country and Turkey I dont think it is going to be same again as things will only get worse in future. But some great memories I have of that city. I would suggest people to visit it at least once in their lifetime. It is worth every dime you spend there.
Thank you for visiting our country, I am frankly happy that you had a good time. Come back anytime when you feel it !
Thank you so much!

First off as a Turkish guy I liked this video a lot, I want to say thank you and want to let you know i appreciate your work so much. I wanted to write a comment because I loved how geniune you are throughout the video. I'm in hopes of "maybe" helping you with small mistakes you made and pointing out interesting stuff so that you get a better view.
Let's get it started.
6 minutes into the video all the food you've eaten so far, except the coffee you drank, is actually Syrian. And those people were also mostly Syrians I could tell by their English accent, and the way they prepared their food, and what they had in their food. It is kind of crazy how Syrians actually integrated into big Turkish cities very quickly.
I'm glad you enjoyed the ice cream and the guy's show.
Salep is made of regional orchis types' tubers. Salep is not a desert plant though, the plant grows mostly in the wild, in cold weather, in soil rich with lime, mostly on mountains. This plant also is used in the making of the most famous type of ice cream in Turkey called Maraş Ice cream (coming from the city Kahramanmaraş) which is extremely delicious, it has its own unique texture and taste because of the plant. I would highly recommend trying Maraş ice cream.
Ok the breakfast part. First off Turkish people *traditionally* don't drink coffee when they eat breakfast, fun fact breakfast in Turkish is "kahvaltı" which actually means "the food you eat before coffee". What Turkish people drink by their breakfast meal is black tea. I'm sorry to tell you but the breakfast you ate wasn't that traditional but the idea was there, Turkish breakfast consists of many things, they were just missing out on so much and giving you guys not so traditional stuff. I could write paragraphs about the breakfast you ate compared to an ideal Turkish breakfast but I'm not going to.
What you called niwan is actually called "lokma". It also actually says so on the cart as well, "Ottoman Lokma" 13:14 .
The tea guy I'm very sorry to say sold cup of tea way too overpriced to you guys.
I'm glad you enjoyed your künefe and döner kebab. And the drink you had by your kebab is called "ayran", it is basically yoghurt with water mixed in it with some salt.
All in all great video with very positive vibes I loved watching through it.
But I wish you guys had some local dude with you guys to kind of guide and have fun together.
Whoever was your travel guide there was a lot of wrong information anyways glad u enjoy turkey 😄
